Normally a good place to eat but today they where off. Got there around 1pm and maybe 4 tables with customers so we thought we would be in and out quick .. No, took 20 min for someone to take our order. We sat there and watched them talk and make up napkin bundles. 45 min later we got our food and the breakfast plate was cold and my wife's salad was room temperature. Dirty plates started to pile up and servers would walk by but not pick up the dirty plates we pushed to the edge of the table,finally the busboy came by and asked to pick up the plates we told him yes but then he took a dirty towel and wiped the table down while we where still eating so with the smell of the dirty towel we pushed the final plates aside and waited for our bill. I come here every Sunday in the late morning and although it is busy, the service is always excellent. I get seated right away and the drink orders are taken when they seat us. I usually order a coffee while I look over the menu. The menu is pretty extensive, ranging from breakfast, lunch, dinner, mexican, sides, etc. and I've never had their lunch or dinner meals, but their breakfast is delicious! It also comes with a lot of food though depending on which item you order. I usually get an omelet (3-egg) and that comes with hashbrowns or potatoes and toast or biscuits and gravy, but their chilaquiles are great too. If you get coffee, they come by fairly often to check on you and refill if you'd like. Reasonable pricing for the amount of food and friendly, attentive staff - definitely recommend! read more

My favorite breakfast in town! This is a family owned and run restaurant and they go out of there way to please! I love coming here, first they make you feel so welcome and second the breakfast is delicious! During the week there are great specials to choose from. On the weekends, it is a wonderful place to relax and fill your tummy. The pancakes are the best I have ever had... seriously, the best! On more than one occasion I have heard servers say if you are not happy, let them know and they will make it right. The servers are all super nice and go out of there way to help. Sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but it is worth it. We have been coming here for a while and I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review, this place is great. Never been here so me and my hubby decided to eat here for breakfast on Fathers Day. It wasn't even packed and it took forever for someone to take our order. My husband was standing around as our 10 month old started to get fussy and one of the waiters asked if he was waiting for our check and my husband said, nope we are waiting for our food and he said, oooh. And he didn't even check to see if our order was coming up. 2 families had already came and ate and we were still waiting for our food. There wasn't even no excuse for the poor customer experience we received as the place wasn't even too busy. The food at Chino Café is excellent. I take the opportunity to try a new dish every week, and so far I've enjoyed every meal. The service is unique; everyone is pleasant. And, if the owner is in, he usually goes around and personally greets his customers. We're treated like family when we come in. Most recently, I discovered "Taco Tuesday!" It's unbelievable. This is a no frills diner with great service and good food, and no pretentiousness......I wanted to eat breafass before watching the IT movie....I was about to say fuckit get a crossaint from jack inthe box, and call it good, when I went past this place...I said what the hell and went in...The place is old on the inside...mose of the celing tiles are yellowed with age...they put some new ones in where they put new lights in, and the white of the new tiles contrasts badly with the old yellow ones...ha ha... THe server was very attetive...The Coffee was memorable for not sucking or being great. Received coupons in the mail and decided to give it a shot. Wow........the food was disgusting. We ordered onion rings and it tasted like it's been sitting there for days. I came here with my family for Taco Tuesday and we experienced probably the worst service. We each ordered only 3 tacos and had to wait 50 minutes. Our waitress did not come to our table once. We had to get up and get someone to take our order. My dad had somewhere to be and had to leave early. We called the manager to our table and he kept justifying himself saying that we came at a busy time and did not take the blame for anything. Other parties that came here to have dinner got up and left because of the wait time. There was no reimbursement for their horrible service nor was there an apology from the manager himself. Wait time is ridiculous & totally unnecessary. No point to cramming people in the little holding pin when there are numerous open tables to sit at. About 1.5 hours totally time in for a mediocre breakfast. The only thing they do fast is take your drink order before you can even sit down. This large restaurant advertises "FREE HOTSPOT" yet they did not have a booth with an electrical outlet! The only suggestion was sitting at the bar! What business person will sit at the bar with their laptop and paperwork sprawled all over the place? Have had many taco's since moving to Chino a year ago and the best so far have been from Chino, Cafe. The flavor of the meats whether, carnitas, ground beef, etc are outstanding and with all the add ons you would expect on a taco. Just the right amount of seasoning as well. The restaurant itself has a pleasant atmosphere and the staff really make one feel at home. This is one of our "go to" places when we want to get a great taco and feel welcome by all the staff. Horrible place for dinner ! Wouldn't feed my dog this food ! The clam chowder was watered down and no flavor with huge chunks of potato.. the salad was just some lettuce with 2 cherry tomatoes .... The T bone steak I asked for another one because the first was burnt , chewy, disgusting... The broasted chicken was dry , but atleast edible .... The mashed potatoes were not warm , and liquidy ... The food is good, but the service is horrible. My breakfast took about fifteen minutes for some scramble eggs, bacon and waffle. During that time I was not offered one single coffee refill. The waitress said it was the creamer but it wasn't...my spoon stuck at the bottom of my cup while stirriing in the sugar, which is a sign of a dirty coffee cup. How would I know that? I honestly can't compare this place to Flappy Jack's or The Original Pancake House but for being a diner in Chino, it has moderate food and great service. I think I added that extra star for the service. They're very attentive. They know their regular customers, especially ones who always comes in on Tuesdays for their Taco Tuesday special (ahemmmm my boyfriend). My boyfriend got steak with hashbrowns, eggs, and 2 toast (all for 10.99, not too shabby). I failed my diet and went for 2 stacks of pancakes and a side of biscuits and gravy. Their pancakes were very moist! I loved it. I wouldn't really get the biscuits and gravy again. It was nothing too special. And coffee was only 99 cents! The food was fine. The problem was the time element. Many tables available, asked if there were enough servers and was assured there were. Had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated, we were the only ones on the wait list. Once seated took another 30 minutes before our order was taken, then 30+ minutes before it was served. Once we had our drinks, there was quite a bit of a wait for a waitress. We still needed a few more minutes to decide what we were having, so we asked for a few more minutes. Just finished having breakfast at this establishment. .. What a mistake, I had to ask for my silverware, had to ask for a high chair when I was clearly had my 2 year old son in my arms... I only come here cause it is close to my house and convenient for me the food is good but over priced! And I gotta say most of the people here are very rude and weird! I come here often through the drive throw but I haven't gone in the place to eat in quite some time cause the last time I did me and my girlfriend had to wait 1 hour for our food!
