    creme brulee milk tea

Order: Creme Brulee Milk Tea Highlights: - Clean and cute interior, staff are friendly and give free samples - the drink was very good and the jellies at the bottom are good as well but it was just so sweet at the end. Made myself finish it Cons: - Drink was a bit too sweet - There is usually a line Overall: I would come back for sure, just come early!

My first time trying Torotea was at their location in Diamond Bar. The drinks were very good and refreshing. So when I discovered they had opened another location in Chino Hills, I had to check them out. There are plenty of parking at this location. Similar to the Diamond Bar location, inside is a little small, but the decor is quite nice. Before you order, you could ask the friendly staff to let you sample some of their jellies. We ordered the followings: - Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi - Misty Oolong Pure Tea Both drinks were tasty and very refreshing. The sweet level was perfect. I do not like drinks that are way too sweet. Here, it was perfect. I like Torotea for using jelly instead of boba. I prefer jelly over boba any days. With boba, it gets hard if you refrigerate overnight. With jelly, it stays soft for days. Not only that, but it also tastes a little sweet with each bite. Great drinks, cool ambiance, and friendly staffs. What's there not to like?

FIRST visit, to this location: * FARE(S) feasted on: *** Misty oolong milk tea = the tea is fantastic and leaves this light aromatic taste after a sip. They use non-dairy creamer with a splash of heavy cream (for those wondering about their milk teas) * FRIENDLY service: Yes * FRESH air seating outside? No * FAIR pricing: Yes * FEATURES: Small space - counter is right in front of you when you enter shop - wraparound stone bench with few seats against the wall * FREE parking: Yes, large plaza lot * FYI: After the very first visit to their Diamond Bar location, I was already a fan. So glad to know they opened one here in CH! FIVE stars *****

Walking in to Torotea gives you such a refreshing and relaxing feeling. The employee taking the orders is so nice and welcoming. She gave my niece and I a sample and some drink recommendations. The calmansi tea was so refreshing and perfectly sweetened. I also recommend their barley tea and barley jelly.

Wow. Made the drive from Anaheim and this place did not disappoint. Their topping is top tier and unique from everywhere else. The tea is very aromatic but the jelly they have there is so unique and different from everywhere else. The cashier is very helpful and patient and recommended stuff to us. Try this place!

Very interesting décor. Walking in felt like entering a cave / adobe house...in a good way. Cozy, earthy color. Music was a nice touch. The gentlrman who took my order was very helpful. Even offered us a taste test of the drink of the day (?). The place was busy enough, but the wait to order and to receive the drink was drink was not bad at all...maybe 5 minutes-ish. I ordered an Ember MT with Barley Jelly (a Torotea creation) at their "perfect" sweetness level. The ice and sweetness levels were very good, but less sweet would have worked, too, I think. Good barley flavor that blended well with the non-dairy creamer, sweetness, and ice. What I prob enjoy the most about it is that the swallow finishes with the barley taste. Too many MTs taste completely like non-dairy creamer and sweetness with little or no tea flavor. First time for me to try barley jelly, so it is hard to compare. Not much flavor to it, but it was fine. In general, I enjoy barley tea. Having both Korean-style tea in the US and barley tea in China. That being said, I am no connosseur of barley tea.

Just found my new fave tea place. I was blown away by the tapiochi. It's super addicting! You can really taste the quality of the tea here and it wasn't too sweet. You have the option to adjust sweetness as well if you like. Service was great, the cashier really took the time to explain the menu. Definitely coming back!

so so good, the matcha einspanner had like this sweet condensed milk & it just make it 10x better. The matcha itself was so so good, and It was so rich and the color before mixing it was great. The service was great! And the ambiance was super cool, minimalistic and had limited seating.

There was so much hype about this place, I wasn't so sure until I tried it. Their teas here are definitely worth the hype!

Delicious and always consistent! As with other Torotea locations, I love the tapiochi topping and always enjoy to their tea-forward milk teas and their refreshing fruit teas. I personally really like their location-exclusive Koan-Im Tapioccino. The milk tea is blended with crushed ice and tapiochi pieces, and I love the texture of it! This drink doesn't allow for sweetness adjustments so it is on the sweeter side though. Since this location is inside a large plaza area there's plenty of parking even though the shop itself is pretty small.

This spot in Chino Hills is Torotea's 3rd location. In my opinion, Torotea is unique and way better than your average bubble tea shop. Instead of regular boba, they offer tapiochi (tapioca mochi) and tea jellies. I am a huge fan of both the brown sugar and black tea tapiochi, which has an exceptionally soft and chewy texture. For first timers, I highly recommend trying the Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi. It has a rich and creamy mouthfeel and tastes like toasty buttery popcorn. The drink is amazing! Another recommendation would be the Cassia Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapiochi. This tea is aromatic with a malty depth. Although there is some seating inside, this shop is quite small and seems more like a grab and go type of place. The minimalist aesthetic and dim lighting makes this shop feel warm and cozy. In addition, the staff are friendly and welcoming. It is also great that there is a huge, shared parking lot, so parking is never an issue.

My sister-in-law recommended this cute and cozy tea spot, and I'm so glad she did! Between the two of us, we ordered the Matcha Einspänner and the Hojicha Einspänner. It was my first time trying an Einspänner, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We were lucky to receive our drinks quickly and even managed to grab the small bench seating before it filled up. Both drinks were absolutely delicious--the rich, bold tea paired perfectly with the thick, velvety whipped cream on top. They were beautifully presented and just as enjoyable to look at as they were to drink. Unlike many cafés, this shop doesn't offer traditional tables and chairs. There's only a small bench in the corner where customers can wait, enjoy their drinks, or chat for a bit. They also have a restroom down the hall, which was very clean and well maintained. One thing to keep in mind: this is a cashless establishment, so be sure to bring a credit card, debit card, or another electronic payment method, as they do not accept cash. By the time we got our drinks, the shop had become quite busy, so we decided to take our drinks across the street and enjoy them while walking through the park, which made for a perfect outing. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. If you're looking for high-quality tea in a charming, minimalist setting, this place is definitely worth a visit!

I've been visiting the Diamond Bar and San Marino location from time to time, now there's one in Chino Hills! It's a very spacious plaza shared with other stores. The store itself is kind of small just like the other Torotea locations. They're pretty consistent with their decor, earthy and minimalist. Except, this one is a lot more dim. The waiting area is kinda tight as usual lol. The employees here honestly all seemed checked out. Usually there is someone who hands out samples, but the person (assuming she was responsible for the samples) was kind of just waiting around and would offer samples only if you ask haha. So I guess compared to the other torotea locations, the team here isn't as pro-active? Honestly looks pretty rough, but as long as I get my boba, i'm all good loool. I go to try their Chino Hills exclusive drink which was the Koan-Im Tapioccino, which is a blended drink with tappioccino jelly. I got it half sugar, but first few sips, it's actually still sweet. But y'know, this tastes like a very nostalgic drink bc it tastes just like the grass jelly drink you get at the market!! I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing to compare to, but it was pretty nice. I dont think I would get it again tho lol. I would just stick to the Popcorn Milk Tea.

Instead of ordering with the cashier, I ordered on the kiosk. I had chosen an almond milk tea with boba just to try out. The person making my drink was nice and suggested black tea instead of green tea, which I didn't mine. I received my drink and quickly left to drive back to work. Their almond milk tea is subtle. Much water, less tea, and barely any almond taste. Their boba is chewy like taro or mochi jelly, but bland. Absolutely bland. So bland that I couldn't really fathom finishing my drink. I didn't reach the halfway mark and just tossed the rest. I don't think I will be back. I should have stuck to my choices, because the boba and tea aren't good. Surprisingly when they have such high ratings. I'd rather spend my money on a different boba place.

With a large parking lot calming any worries of finding parking, the shop is located at the front of the curb and even easier to spot given the Hanlin sign in black font hovering among the other establishments. The entrance is very open with an IG friendly bench below a neon sign to the right and a shining white counter sitting in front of you. It's easy finding a seat among the chairs that litter the space, especially by an outlet for all your devices. It was honestly surprising to find this almost being a cyber cafe as most other coffee shops, milk tea shops and others because they have a lot more considerations and food options to choose from. Especially being guided by the staff immediately upon the question of, "Have you been here before?" No! I haven't but I appreciated the fact that the service here is all about what is the best, what to expect and how to make the experience as smooth as possible. Thankfully it is easy finding something you'd like within the vast menu. Not to mention you'd also like the fact that everything is priced pretty average compared to most places around the area. It's still surprisingly to me finding a Taiwanese restaurant around this area but that's something that you come for especially price for price and pound for pound when it comes to portion and taste. Speaking of taste! The plum juice with boba was a good balance but lets not forget plum is definitely a certain bittersweet taste profile that isn't often enjoyed. It's a good reminder that you're having a subtle and healthy, fruity drink and still pairing it with the sweetness of boba. Now pair it with a small eats such as the popcorn chicken! When she finally finished, she came to the counter with a horrible attitude asking what we wanted. My sister in law wanted a hot coffee and she refused to served it since the machine was "off" already. Then she proceeded to order a banana iced coffee (don't know the name) and again the lady refused to make it since it was one of their most "complicated" drinks to make. We ended up ordering two "quick and easy" ice drinks. We asked if she was working alone... this lady only had rude comments and answers to say (smart ass). It is unfortunate to be treated that way specially when it was my first time there. It is also very unfortunate that the Spanish Latte I ordered was delicious, BUT I will never be returning or recommending this place due to the horrible customer service.
