One of my families favorite places to eat breakfast. The owner and wait staff are always friendly and provide great service. My wife is a former restaurant manager and it is always hard to find a place that can cook breakfast the way she likes it. Chino Cafe always makes sure she gets her food the way she wanted it. We go there for breakfast, not the wifi. (which I see as an added bonus) I can't think of a more idiotic way to rate a restaurant then by whether or not they have a outlet for me to plug my laptop into. I wanted a quick and traditional diner breakfast and this place was pretty good. The food quality is fair for the price - I ordered the weekday breakfast special of 3 eggs, hash browns, sausage/bacon and pancakes for about $9. The pancakes were moist and delicious, eggs cooked just right but the bacon was too crispy for my taste. Service was a bit slow considering there weren't that many people there when we arrived. Came here for a quick bite to eat on a Thursday morning before work and was served by Megan. Food was excellent, I had the Hobo Omelet with red potatoes. This is our new favorite breakfast restaurant in Chino! Generous portions, friendly service and good prices. I think this restaurant has the best Refried beans & Spanish rice in town. Came here for breakfast a few years ago, don't really remember it much. Decided to try it out again, came for lunch this time. Service was okay, there were three tables and the waitress was pretty much on it until we needed our check. I had to go find her for it. My sister brought me here and now I'm addicted! The Mexican food here is soooo yummy and portions are huge, you can definitely share or take 1/2 home like I do! My 2 favorite dishes are the machaca breakfast and the chili verde, delicious! The reason for 4 stars is the service. The waiters/waitresses don't check on you often therefore if you want your water or coffee refilled you tend to have to waive them down. My husband and I really love cozy and at home feel restaurants. This place is great! We first visited for their breakfast and loved the food, service and atmosphere of the place. The bacon is nice and crispy the eggs are done well , their hashbrowns are nicely crisp also. We just went for dinner today and were beyond amazed. I got their deep fry chicken with mashpotatoes and gravy along with veggies. Everything tasted amazing! The veggies were soo delicious. They were cooked well and seasoned. I also tried My husband's dish. He had their bacon avocado burger and it was DELICIOUS. The the buns were wonderful, bacon was nice and crip, the meat was fresh and juicy , the lettuce was very nicely cleaned and just right. The burger was absolutely amazing. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Loved the calmness and just enjoyable vibe Chino Cafe has. They also have a drive through for those quick runs. This place is Horrible. Went in to try the $6.99 broasted Chicken, as advertised in the Chino Champion. I have been here before, had this Chicken it was pretty good in the past. It wasn't busy, it seemed to take a long time to get our order placed. We waited, waited finally I went up to the college age gal to ask her if someone would please take our order. I ordered the Broasted chicken, the waitress said it was 7.99, even though the print ad published just two weeks ago mentioned this was their Monday night special. When I received my meal, the chicken was not in fact broasted, it was fried up, Banquet TV dinner type of chicken., The mashed potatoes had beef gravy and was hideous, the corn on the cob was discolored as if were stored in the refrigerator for a few weeks, there was no dinner roll, when I asked for one was told by my waitress that they don't have them anymore, she also mentioned they don't do broasted chicken anymore because it confused the customers. I sent the meal back, it was just horrible. I sometimes wonder if the reviews are made up, because this experience wasn't worth one star. This place really sucks. read more

I was driving by the area and found this place on Yelp so my husband & decided to stop here for breakfast. First off, we walked in and seemed confused whether we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait for someone to seat us. Usually, restaurants have a waiting area with a podium or a sign that lets you know what to do. Anyways, we were walking around confused until someone seated us. Then the waitress filled our coffee cups to the very top so there wasn't any room to pour cream or be able to stir the coffee. I ordered French Toast and payed an extra $2 (which I didn't mind at first) for bananas and whipped cream so I could make my French toast "tastier." Well it turns out their French Toast is extremely dry and flavorless. It tasted like I was eating bread straight out of the bag. It was also cold. I was so upset that the extra $2 didn't even help to make it taste better. Worst French toast I've ever had. My husband had their Chilaquiles and it's just bagged tortilla chips with chili sauce on top & there was barely any egg in it. REAL chilaquiles should have lots of egg in it with REAL tortilla chips made fresh & fried on the spot. Not bagged. Worst meal we ever had. We had to go eat somewhere else after that to get the disgusting taste out of our mouths. read more

A great hangover cure! My boyfriend & I went to the cafe on Sunday morning around 10am. Downside: It was packed!! So we sat at the bar. Since it was super busy it took a long time for us to get our food. It's basic cafe grub but still beats Denny's! The food was very good!! The time to get your food was awful!! I ordered breakfast and the time it was served I was ready for lunch. They have a banner outside with their prime rib special (prime rib and eggs), when we ordered this we were told they didn't have any prime rib. Ive been here plenty of times and I recommend ordering lunch items; I love their hamburgers and their fries are delicious ( better than In& out) but beware of anything else such as chicken pasta alfredo,salads, ect. Another thing the service is different all the time, their sometimes understaffed but overall good place.
