First of all kudos for being open at 5:30 when most sit-down coffee shops don't open until 7 or 8 around here it seems. Even at that early hour, the staff were very attentive and friendly, as they managed both the drive thru and the few customers who chose to stay inside (like me). Word to the wise, don't try to park on the right/south side of the building because the drive through lane won't allow you to get out easily. Instead drive around to the left/north side of the building and there are more regular sized and spaced spots. Lots of seating inside and also nice patio tables outside. The music is on very loud so if you like it quieter for staying there (I was there reading for an hour), then you might want headphones. I got used to it though. I should've looked at reviews before ordering--next time I'll try an horchata latte which seems to be popular here. I was a bit overwhelmed with the choices so I ordered a 12oz iced banana matcha latte which ended up tasting pretty good. It was too early for a pastry yet but those looked yummy too. read more

My all time favorite of coffee spot and that speaks volumes as I'm not a regular coffee drinker! The rice and beans is amazing and the horchata are sooo good. They don't make their muffins in house but the churro muffin 10/10 highly recommend and is just delicious! I cannot believe how tasty it is and it is just the perfect snack. I've been to plenty of Tierra Mia Coffee locations since there are a few along my commute and near my work, and they usually never disappoint. This visit I decided to switch things up and ordered an iced Dulce de Leche Latte. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite it tasted a little too milky for my preference. I usually order the horchata latte, and they always make that one so well, so I'll definitely be sticking with my usual next time.The customer service was excellent. The employee who took my order and handed me my drink was very friendly, had a smile on her face, and made the experience welcoming. This location also has a drive thru, which is super convenient when you're on the go. Now that I'm in California for vacation, I got super excited to know there is a Tierra Mia in Pomona while I'm staying in Rancho Cucamonga. The young lady taking orders proceeded to overlook me (twice), I had to ask for her to take my order. Now I'm stuck in a line that hasn't moved for the last 10 min. 3/29/25 Disappointing because it's closest to home but fell short of expectations. First off, the oat milk latte lacked depth, tasted mostly the oat milk, none of the kick that usually comes with the beverage. Then the wait, it took about 8 minutes from order to delivery. Yes, it's only 8 minutes but there's hardly any customers in the shop (judging from the 2 cars in the parking lot) and there were 6 staff working (seen from the drive thru window when latte was received). Thankfully the employees appear to have some camaraderie between themselves but none shown towards customers. All that the staff said was "Here you go" Not even a "thank you" or any personalization to attract or entice the customer from become a repeat customer. The parking lot is sizable, clean & well maintained. The drive thru is meant to be a quick turnaround time but that's not the case here. Given the lackluster beverage & interaction from this experience, not likely returning. Too bad coz it's a convenient location. read more

I usually go to Tierra Mia at least once every two weeks in the morning at around 9:30am-11am once I get out of bed, or even before heading to school. The staff here is very nice. I have never felt that the staff was ever being rude to me in any way. They are friendly and welcoming. I usually order a Medium Horchata Cold Brew. The Cold Brews already come with cold foam, so no need to add it! This drink has a good amount of sweet flavor in it, and the cold foam adds that deliciousness and aesthetic to it! And for a pastry, I order the Choco Tres Leches Muffin. The muffin has that perfect crunch on the top and the middle of it consists of a nice juicy tres leches consistency with a good chocolatey flavor with the little chocolate chips it has inside. The inside of Tierra Mia is a cute little spot to get work done and even study! It's usually a calm place, but you never know if a place will get loud or not, so if you come here to study, make sure to bring headphones! There is seating for a good amount of people. Tierra Mia also has plenty of different Cold Brew and Latte flavors. The Lattes DO NOT come with Cold Foam. For those who do not like coffee, Tierra Mia also has lemonades. The lemonades are so good and flavorful! I would recommend this place to those who like to grab a nice drink of coffee with a small snack! I've been coming to this location for years! It's always consistently good and I love the late hours of operation! It's always super busy inside and drive thru. We prefer sitting inside. This is one of my favorite coffee shops. I always get the Mexican Mocha but I've also tried their pistachio latte, pumpkin latte and horchata lattes, all are delicious! Their pastries are great too! Customer service is consistently nice and the shop itself is clean. There's an outdoor patio as well. For bathroom uses, they have a key you have to ask for at the register and bathrooms are outside the building by the drive thru. Our go to from Tierra Mia is the horchata latte. It tastes like a delicious horchata that you would order at a taco stand, but with a little coffee kick added in. It tastes good with whole milk or oat milk and has a delicious creamy consistency with a lot of cinnamon and a slight nuttiness.
