Chino Spectrum Marketplace - Shopping Centers Near Me - Chino, California

I happen to recently perform a full and thorough walk-though of the Chino Spectrum Marketplace, visiting every store and just checking out this HUGE mall, which is located on the opposite side of the road as the Walmart and then In-N-Out burger joint. A lot of people confuse the two malls, however they are different. The mall with the Walmart, Best Buy, Sam's Club and In-N-Out is called the Chino Spectrum Town Center. Ok, so basically this mall takes up almost two full blocks and has about 70 different stores within it. It actually curves around a bit and then continues again past another street (i think Pipeline), and just when you think you have finished, there are more stores :) Chino Hills really rocks with malls, so lets go over this mall and see what it has and the hot spots to visit :) The main stores are Target, Applebee's Grill, Mimi's Cafe, Islands, Ross, Michaels, Dick's Sporting goods, Kirkland's, Tahoe Joe's, T.J Maxx, Pep Boys, PetCo, in no particular order. They have so many little restaurants and shops to choose from as well like Pieology, A juice it up store, a really cool Hair Salon (curling iron), and so much more! I will not list all the stores hehe. But this mall will keep you busy if you just wish to check it out and have fun shopping and exploring. I highly recommend both this and the Town Center mall on the opposite side. My favorite places to go are Islands, Kirkland's, Pieology, Staples and Firehouse Subs. They also have a good donuts shop on the very end called *Donut Club.* There is ample parking in this mall and I have always enjoyed coming here and spending a few hours each time :) I have included some photos of the area and some of the signs within this mall showing the prominent stores. This was another 'Marketplace,' where I used to hang out quite a bit with family and friends out in the Chino area. We have many choices of restaurants, shops and gas stations!!!! For one, my price club, 'Sam's Club,' is located at the Chino Spectrum. The Chino Spectrum Towne Center has many shops and restaurants. There is Red Robin, In and Out, and Olive Garden. The In and Out line is typically wrapped around the parking lot and causes a lot of traffic but, it is worth the wait. There are many shops to go to such as Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls. There is a lot of parking to be able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. read more

The Chino Spectrum, which was here long before the Shoppes of Chino Hills arrived on scene. This was the place to go when we were all young -okay fine, in the 2000s. There are a lot of different places here -places that have closed down as well. It takes a lot of time to try and figure out where places are- heck, even I do as well! And I've been coming and going for ten years at least! To try and get people less confused? I guess.. Enter through ROSWELL if you want to try: California Noodle and Grill, Chase, Old Navy, and Petco. If you are heading EAST on Grand Avenue, coming from SR-71/Chino Hills and you make a left onto Spectrum West,(Mimi's Cafe) your first right will lead you to where most of the food places are: Pieology Pizza, JJ Bakery, Lees' Sandwiches, Juice It Up, and more. You will hit a bump, then another intersection. The left will take you to Carl's Jr. The right takes you to Grandma Puccis Ice Cream, Hometown Buffet, and the health/beauty places I don't know much about. If you go all the way to the end, Bath and Body Works is to your left, and to your right is the wonderful Target. Still heading East on Grand, and you want to make a left onto Spectrum East (you will see Islands. You get the rest of the stores surrounding it, On your right, if I remember correctly, Staples, Food 4 Less, Michaels'. Straight, TJ Maxx and Ross( I don't shop much here so I don't really think much about it) Plan your trip: http://www.shopchinospectrum.com/marketplace.php On the OTHER SIDE, if you are heading EAST on Grand and make a right, it spans all the way from Eucalyptus & Pipeline to Grand & Chino Spectrum West. It is really a HUGE place to shop. Borders' was here once. The building still stands if I remember correctly. Best Buy, Walmart, (IN N OUT is next to SPECTRUM EAST), Wang Cho, Nordstrom Rack, Pier 1, Sam's Club, and all the way end is Kohl's. What can I say, this shopping center keeps the City of Chino in business because of the sales tax it receives. Thank you neighboring residents for visiting the Chino Spectrum. With anchor stores like Walmart, Target, Old Navy, Ross, Kohl's, Sam's Club, Nordstrom Rack people drive from far away to shop here. Plenty of food to chow on; In-n-Out, Subway, Carino's, Philly's Best, Red Robin, Wabi Sabi, Zendejas, Applebee's, Islands, Lee's Sandwiches, Mimi's Cafe, Senor Baja and the list goes on. You can find the Chino Spectrum next to the 71 freeway just south of the 60 freeway. If you are in my neighborhood, and need to do some shopping, stop by and spend some money in my city. read more

I've seen this huge shopping center's commercial on ETTV (a local Taiwanese TV station), but never visited. I recently had to visit the center a few times for business and realized it offers much more than it shows on TV. It is the premiere shopping destination for Chino located just off the Chino Valley Freeway (71). CS really consists of the Maketplace and the Town Center. It must have more than one or two million square ft of shopping space combined. In addition to the normal retail shops, like Michaels, Old Navy, Target, TJ Maxx n More, Borders Books and Music, Nordstrom Rack, LA Fitness, Cost Plus World Market and Sam's Club, it has a lot of specialty shops and restaurants. There are even Lee's Sandwich, San Sai Sushi, and La Ceperie there. The management Vestar Realty does a good job keeping the place clean and fun. Every Saturday night, there is live music. They have events from time to time. The Taiwanese owner is a low profile and cool guy. I agree with Joshua's four stars. The only problem is that the place is too big. If you are visiting for the first time, you need to drive around in the lots to find the store. Also, I got confused between the Marketplace and the Town Center. This particular shopping center is one of the first outdoor mall type centers built in the area. Since I worked at Free-Wheeling in this shopping center from it's beginning days, I've seen the area develop from mud/grass fields to what it is today. Overall, even though the shopping center is quite old, they've always seemed to keep a good variety of stores and restaurants interested in staying around, the grounds are always kept up, and they still have live music sponsored by Seattle's Best Coffee in their food court. Take my word for it, the music is awesome! Restaurants include: Islands, Applebee's, Mimi's Cafe, Black Angus, Carl's Jr., and Louie's Chicken Cafe to name the best. The other great thing about this shopping center is the parking lot. Although the parking lot in the food court area can be quite crowded, the overall openness of the parking lots in front of stores is tremendous. You definitely don't feel like you're boxed in to a certain route on your way to visit your favorite store. Even still, getting in and out of the front of the shopping center can be tricky (packed) at times because of the design. read more

Love this local shopping area... Everything is spread out and its not like the shoppes but it offers the amenities i love like a Ross, Target and a Walmart (whoohoo) , Lee's Sandwiches, Ulta, In-n-Out, and Payless. This shopping center is split into two sections located across from each other. One with Target is the older section and the one across with Walmart came later. It's not the best place to go for walking and shopping unless you don't mind doing a lot of hiking but i love that they put the Walmart and Target so close together. They have music on the courtyard where the Lees sandwich is on the weekend. The much eye-pleasing "food court" is across the way with Starbucks, Subway, and el gran burrito. They have these fire torches (like the Olympics) and a nicer fountain. During Xmas, they have this great beautiful tree here. Parking on either side is ok, great on weekdays. Stop by here if you haven't for your amenities and for some cardio shopping ;) read more

Even though I'm from the OTHER SIDE of the freeway, the Spectrum is WAAAAAY better than The Shoppes. Remember those times are school when everyone would kick it at the Spectrum and troll at the Krikorian?! Haha. The Spectrum has the better stores and restaurants all in one. It's so big there's a Spectrum then a Market Place across the way. TIP: ALWAYS avoid turning at the light right where In-N-Out is, it's a nightmare! There's like 5 other exits from the Market Place to get out of. read more

It's almost an oasis in the middle of no where. The shopping center offers a nice array of shopping options, but the surrounding areas and city's leave a great deal to desire. It's some where to go if you want to jump in the car for a drive. Outside of the shopping areas, there isn't much to appeal most people. It does seem like they have tried to offer some of those inland empire people a ladder out of the dungeon by creating a nice little city for shopping. read more

I am fan of Chino Spectrum, actually I am a fan of Grand Avenue exit. It is convenient - one can turn left [coming from 71 North] and hit Chino Shoppes and one can turn right and hit Chino Spectrum. It is very easy to locate - google maps takes you right to the location and there is ample amount of parking available. However, if you are new to the area or not quite familiar and if you need to go to any stores/restaurants on the left side then taking that left turn might be little tough since that exit is always busy. It is also little confusing to find places or the stores since there are so many trees blocking everywhere [nothing against trees]. I love Target, Ulta and Nordstrom Rack the best from all the stores since I am usually at one of the stores most the time. read more

I love coming here to shop. There is a good variety to shop: Walmart, Nordstrom Rack, Ulta, In-n-out etc. Parking is fairly easy to find. The only bad part about this place is all the trees. The trees make it hard to see all the businesses in the plaza. Also do not exit near In-n-out because it is always packed read more

Umm... this is a fairly nice shopping center with a lot of stores. My problem is that almost all of them are chain stores that you can find anywhere else. It's nice but it's never been a place I go to unless there's something specific I'm looking for at one of the places there. read more

My wife and I went in to grab a few things and we was shocked how dirty and messy everything was. It was a Sunday morning (8/10/14). For a minute we thought we walked into Walmart. Very dirty through whole store especially at the entrance. Trash everywhere, shopping carts full of trash. read more
