Skillets is a warm inviting home town dinner that serves both local and out of towners with the same local hospitality. What might seem as a simple hole in the wall is so much more. The line out the door is worth it, just be sure to give your name early!

Service and food at Skillets Café was outstanding... I ordered the breakfast burrito, with chili verde and sausage, and requested that the hashbrowns be outside the burrito. Everything ordered was perfect and the chili verde had a nice kick to it. Bonus mom ordered minestrone soup with half of a tuna melt sandwich. She thoroughly enjoyed her food as well, including the soup. We definitely recommend and will come again, hopefully soon !

Great hole in the wall locals breakfast spot. Friendly staff, quick service, good food, really good prices. Place is a little dated inside but didn't bother me. This is one of those good across the board places. Best breakfast in Chino.

Server was a frikin legend. I had the greatest burger ever conceived, and the restaurant felt like a small town very home like.

I was in town visiting friends and we came in for breakfast. There was a good buzz in the restaurant but we were able to be sat pretty immediately. The restaurant has a casual, basic type look and feel. They're open for breakfast and lunch and have a bit of everything. For breakfast you can have items such as their various signature skillets (skillets is in their name, so you know they do them well!), omelets, burritos, waffles, French toast, hotcakes, and other items such as various meat and egg plates (think bacon & eggs, chicken fried steak & eggs, etc) and biscuits & gravy. Lunch items include but are not limited to various burgers, sandwiches, salads, fried entrees (chicken strips, fish fry, etc) and various sides. Service was good and everything came out in a timely manner. I did the Spicy Skillet which came with chorizo, pepper jack cheese, and jalapenos. It was served with two eggs, cheese and choice of hash browns or home fries. I did home fries, the potatoes were well cooked. It also came with a choice of toast, hotcakes or biscuit & gravy. The skillet was plenty as was the choice of biscuit and gravy side I did and very good. Good spice with the chorizo and jalapenos and it everything was seasoned well. Biscuit seemed fresh. Friends enjoyed their meals as well. House coffee was good. Parking is plenty in the lot.

I got the Breakfast Tacos and my wife got the Salazar skillet. We both really enjoyed our meals. For my tacos, I had one green chile brisket, one chorizo, and one carne adovada. They were all excellent, but I'd highly recommend the carne adovada. My wife really enjoyed her skillet. We both agreed that next time, we would each probably pick different items, but only because there were so many things on the menu that sounded really good! We went closer to lunchtime on a weekday and there was no wait, but I could see there definitely being a wait at breakfast time on the weekend, as the interior is small and has only about six tables. But it would be well worth the wait. We will definitely be back.

The homemade mixed berry jam is delicious. But that's sort of where the good stuff ends. The coffee has no taste, the sausage is a weird squished down link, and the pancakes lacked fluff. Our waitress was nice but kept forgetting things- never got water, got syrup instead of jam, didn't know the answers the questions. She seemed constantly rushed. Inside is cute, some cute little coffee art on the walls. All in all, it's not somewhere I would frequent again.

We ended up sitting outside, and I loved that the patio was covered and equipped with heaters, which made it cozy even with the weather acting up a bit. It was lightly sprinkling, and we did get a few drops here and there, but honestly, it didn't take away from the experience. Now let's talk about the food--absolutely delicious. The deviled eggs were generously stuffed and beautifully presented, which made them just as enjoyable to look at as they were to eat. We shared the filet mignon, served with mushroom risotto, and wow... it was completely out of this world. Perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. We paired it with the honey garlic carrots, and they were the perfect balance of sweet and savory--definitely a standout side. I also ordered a smoked blueberry sour cocktail, and it was so good--unique, refreshing, and well-crafted. Service was solid and consistent throughout the meal. Nothing over-the-top, but everything came out smoothly and as expected. Overall, this spot really delivered--from the ambiance to the flavor-packed dishes. I'd absolutely come back again.

We put our names down at a place and I kept searching on yelp for something close by. This came up -- no wait. Blood Orange Mezcalita -- perfectly balanced. Super drinkable with a smoky mezcal that I really appreciated. I ordered the Carne Adovada -- Santa Fe style smoked pork shoulder. It was absolutely delicious and a very generous portion. More than 1/2 went back to the resort with us for breakfast the next day! My son ordered a burger and holy moly was it perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. What do you expect when it's fresh ground filet mignon? Hubby ordered Salmon Mignon -- a salmon medallion cooked medium rare. Absolutely divine. So grateful that this place wasn't hopping so we could easily get a table -- but also wondering why. The food was excellent and they have a remarkable wine selection too. Very elegantly appointed restaurant-- it would do well to dress up, but we saw people in shorts and flip flops equally comfortable. So go as you wish.
