I'm a regular customer and recently ordered cookies through DoorDash from the Oceanside location. Unfortunately, the cookies I received were extremely hard--honestly impossible to eat. I called the store to let them know, expecting at least some acknowledgment or apology. Instead, the employee I spoke with (Laylah) didn't apologize and said the recipe had changed and that the owner wants the cookies to be harder. That response was both surprising and disappointing. OMG! This is my new addiction! I wanted something sweet after my savory meal and boy oh boy! Chip City did not disappoint! This is a small location, very Cutesie and everything on display. The artwork was creative and there were a lot of good pieces, which created a distraction while waiting in line. We ordered the peanut butter and jelly, chocolate chip and the oatmeal cookie sandwich. Dont come here by yourself! So glad to have a Chip closer to home! I used to have to drive to Astoria to go to Chip. The workers are always very nice when we visit. Twice the manager was yelling at the workers while we were sitting there. I understand speaking to your workers and making sure the cookies are cooked throughly, but you can definitely word is in a nicer way. My first time at Chip was in the city so to have one so close to home is amazing. I loved the Hot Honey Cornbread and the Cookies N' Cream. It came with individual packets of Mike's Hot Honey that you could drizzle on top which was absolutely genius. I wasn't a big fan of the carrot cake though. It just didn't wow me. I like how the cookies are huge and always served warm. The staff are so nice and helpful. There are tables available inside the store so you can sit down and enjoy your cookie. They have different flavors that rotate each week so it's always a nice surprise. I ate the chocolate chip cookie right away it was so delicious. I love warm gooey cookies and don't cook at home right now until I eventually move out. So I'm happy I know a good place to come to. It was so gooey and delicious, and it didn't have that artificial, mass produced taste. My family also bought the s'mores cookie, which they said were delicious. The cookies are large and they actually taste like homemade cookies. I definitely need to come back because these cookies are the best cookies I have ever bought. On their website, they have which flavors they have for the week, so definitely scope that out if you have a certain flavor you want. I like the cookies here, this was my third time going. The first time was right after open, and the cookies were mediocre. But my second time going, the cookies were overall delicious! My favorite was the Dubai Chocolate Crookie. Today, I used the TOO Good To Go app to pickup leftovers from yesterday. The total on the app was 7 dollars, and when I went in for pickup I got a box with 4 whole cookies inside. We got Cookies and Cream, Funfetti, some sort of Blueberry Cheesecake, and a regular Chocolate Chip. I have been coming here for quite awhile and had some issues in the past with store never having cookies around 6:30-7pm on my way home and they would tell me to come back in 20 minutes and I would leave empty handed.
