This location is a disgrace! I tried to eat here on my lunch break. At 1pm on a Thursday they had no steak. Instead I opted for chicken which was cold and chewy. Stopped by here for dinner around 530 and got it to go. I got a chicken bowl with rice, tomatoes, and corn salsa. I got MAYBE 8 small chunks of chicken and the chicken was COLD. I love Chipotle...but my hometown location is SO bad! It's always filthy - dirty tables, food all over the floor...just nasty. The employees are not friendly - matter of fact, the last time I was there, the cashier got into an argument with a customer who was paying (to be fair, he was not nice, either). It was a screamfest and ended up with the cashier throwing the customer's money at him and screaming at him to get out. Very unprofessional and total lack of people skills. I recently moved to the Altoona area and I love Chipotle so I tried the Altoona location and I cannot say how disappointed I was with everything. I am not sure if there is a store manager but its the most disorganized location I have ever been to. I was there around 7 pm, when you would think they are all stocked up with toppings. But to my surprise they were out of peppers, low on corn, low on lettuce, dried up and nasty looking mild sauce and the kids serving the food didn't seem to care or run behind to get more and make sure the customer gets what they want. The portion size has gone down so much that you have to ask for extra for everything when you are not even getting the normal portion... I am never going there again. This location is very busy in Altoona - in a busier part of town with a variety of restaurants and stores. The food is the usual but it can be really hot and miss with portions and how much you get. Not sure about how or if it's just sleight of hand with the portions. Usually the burritos are filling but last two times into this one I left still hungry. Stopped by this location while driving through PA. Chose chipotle because it's a National brand you can count on... or so I thought. We ordered ahead for pick up so we could get on with the trip. Decided to go with chipotle classics. Tried and true steak burrito and the ever popular steak burrito bowl. The burrito was the size of a tennis ball and there was more lettuce than beans and rice combined. The steak was tough. Should I go on? Ok. This little pocket sized burrito was seriously the size of a tennis ball. Zoolander said it best "what is this a burrito for ants?" $9 for what? Let's jump into this very empty container they call a burrito bowl. Lettuce must be chipotle's new favorite ingredient as it's pretty much the only thing on this bad boy. There were only a few pieces of steak and some crumbles. Unlike chipotle, I'll be generous and call it 10 pieces. $3 for guac here will get you less than the amount that comes out of your mouth if you sneeze with your mouthful. $14 for what? Came back here after almost 2 months since my last visit. Still pretty shitty. Got a bowl, asked for extra rice and corn salsa and still only got one half scoop. Very poor experience today. Order #P8P7AH, June 12th, 2022. We ordered a bowl and a quesadilla meal. I ordered extra meat and definitely didn't get anything extra, but that's what we've come to expect from chipotle. Half spoons of meat even when you pay for extra. Second, no cheese on my bowl when it clearly states cheese on the lid label. Then my daughters quesadilla meal. She's about half way into it and finds a dead ladybug in her corn. This restaurant lives up to the typical Chipotle hype. The food is consistently delicious compared to other locations I've visited and the staff was friendly. I arrived at the peak of lunchtime on a workday at the staff did a great job of keeping the line moving along. My only criticism is that this location could be kept cleaner. Food and paper wrappers were left on tables and visible on floors. This location isn't as nice appearance-wise as some of the other locations I've been to, but it checks the box for your chipotle craving. read more

Do Better Chipotle Management! While visiting chipotle for a fundraiser on April 14th. I noticed that the line was very very long. I understand that this is because there were a lot of things going on within the dinner rush hour but the service was a lot different and honestly it was sad because it has never been like this before when I visit this location. Normally this is my normal Chipotle location but, the next time I might choose a different one. The cashier was in a really really unstable state. They were very snippy with the comments and I had to keep repeating what was going on with my order. When I ordered my drink, he put the large drink on the counter and then walked away from the register saying "let me go get that large drink". The drink was right in front of me. All I wanted to do was pay and leave. The energy in Chipotle was more chaotic than New York rush hour. He proceeded to have an attitude with the other workers as well as the person behind me in line. This was very disappointing because the service was really really poor, it never is like this. I hope that Chipotle isn't treating its employees with disrespect because I know that if the employer was making the environment stressful, the employees are going to be stressed and not want to work to the best of their ability. At any time that the employee was looking stressed the manager should have changed the person on the register. This should really be something that more employers should check up on their employees about. I am placing the blame on the management, not the employee. Check-in with your employees and make sure that they aren't overworked in one position. Treating your employees with more respect will help them treat you with more respect. read more

Everyone I talk to says that I have to try Chipotle. So when I took a little motorcycle trip down to Altoona I thought I would stop by and see if they could live up to the hype. I ended up visiting around early dinner time and had a chicken burrito. While the food was good and filling it was expecting a bit more. The menu is very straight forward and was very no nonsense. I was expecting a little bit more. If they threw in a few chips with every meal or something I would be a little happier. My biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the eating area. There were only about 6 people eating when I came in and about 4 or 5 people behind the counter. None of the people behind the counter had enough time to come out and wipe down any of the tables. I would say that 90% of the seating areas had some degree of food remains on them. I don't think I would return to Chiplotles when there are so many other great eateries in the area. I understand busy lunch times but the manager was playing on her phone as well as a couple of other employees were playing on their phones not even doing their jobs!! The girl covered in tattoos came up to the register with visible hickies on her neck! This location could be better - hire people that actually want to work!!
