One went and got a manager to verify that everything except the flour tortillas was GF. Next they changed the serving spoons for the beans (but if the beans themselves were already cross-contaminated then that doesn't really accomplish much), and grabbed the crunchy corn taco shells. Chipotle has lots of natural, antibiotic-free, growth hormone-free meat to serve, and their guacamole is really good. Z's Review: * * * * * When we went into Chipotle and told them I was gluten-free and asked what I could order, at first they had no idea what I was talking about. So I clarified and asked if any of their spices or sauces contained wheat or flour. It took them a while to find the right paperwork, but eventually they brought out an allergens list which showed that the only item at Chipotle that contained wheat were the flour tortillas! That's the way food should be! Don't go sticking wheat in where it isn't necessary! So, since they carried both crunchy and soft corn tortillas, there were actually quite a lot of options for me. They even changed their gloves to minimize any potential cross-contamination. I had some really delicious tacos and will probably go to Chipotle again for a quick meal! read more

I'm a huge Chipotle fanatic. I've been to majority of Chipotles in Denver and Boulder. Because this branch is closest to school, I go here pretty much every week - I was a regular customer. I would always get a steak burrito every time. I've always thought that this branch didn't put enough steak inside (usually half a scoop) compared to most other Chipotle branches. While I was pretty disappointed at that, I eventually got over it because I thought that they do this to every customers...until today. I found out that the guy that scoops up the steak actually discriminates how much steak he gives out, depending on the person. I've always had my suspicions but I definitely saw it crystal clear today. He scooped out 2 full scoops of steak...yes, 2 whole scoops...to the lady in front of me; but only gave me half a scoop. It was such an obvious difference in treatment, I felt like he was passively telling me to never come back or something. Being a regular customer for the last 3 years, I felt pretty betrayed and discriminated. I've never been so upset with Chipotle before. Conclusion: if you're an Asian American Chipotle fanatic, do not go to this branch. They will discriminate, and give you less food than you deserve. I will surely never come back to this branch again in my lifetime, and will be informing all of my friends about it. read more

I enjoy Chipotle burritos. I've read a few other reviewers comment on the number of calories in a burrito. I usually get the chicken burrito and I think it has about 1200 calories in it. It is disappointing that you can't get nutritional information for their food on the website. Most info on the content comes from 3rd party sites. If you have the self- discipline, you can eat half the burrito for dinner and save the other half for lunch the next day. That makes for a 600 calorie meal which isn't too bad. My kids love it - plus as students they get free sodas. So, not a bad deal. The chicken burrito is $5.85. Pretty cheap all things considered. Take Chipotle for what it is - fast, consistent, inexpensive food that is quite tasty and you'll be happy with the experience. If you are looking for uber-healthy, gourmet, fancy dining - then this isn't the place for you. read more

I feel like 3 1/2 stars for this chipotle is much to low. They are extremely efficient at what they do during the lunch hour and the food is cooked with love! Heaping portions every time and they are consistently friendly. It's probably my favorite one in Colorado and the great deal is an extra incentive to go at least once a week. read more

I have two confessions: 1) I hate burritos 2) The first time I ate Chipotle (way back in 2005) I hated it Never fear, I have come to love Chipotle and even went through a withdrawal period when I lived in Connecticut. I love Chipotle for their delicious, quality ingredients. No matter what you order, you know that it's the real deal. I usually (okay, ALWAYS) go with the carnitas crispy tacos. They never disappoint. I'm also really in love with the rice... and they will always give you a big boat of it, as opposed to other Chipotles that try to give you rice in one of those teeny salsa cups. Thankfully, most Chipotles have the same excellent ingredients, but I like this location the best. There's plenty of parking and I can usually find a table whether I'm just with the BF or with a group of friends. The only annoying thing is that the tables are fixed in place, which makes it difficult when dining with more than 6 people. Normally, though, we just get creative with the chairs. Something else I really like about this Chipotle is that when they get busy one of the employees usually starts taking orders with this portable computer thing. Yeah, I'm nerdy to like technology, but I think it's really awesome that you can pre-pay (credit only) and then you're ready to order/pick-up at the counter. read more

I know I am a simpleton for enjoying the burrito bol so much.... I know I know. And their chips seem like the most incredibly delicious chips I have had... ever. And it is so cheap. And the margaritas are so alcoholly and delicious and cheap. and the chips.. like.. that lime salt is wacky good. And the leftovers? PHENOMENAL.... at 1am or 3am, I am a fan. I got a chicken burrito bowl, but the woman who served me forgot to add any rice, beans, or chicken! I hold Chipotle to a high standard since they raise their meat right, but how can I enjoy their food if the server cheats me out of my food? Everytime I had eaten at this location, I was treated with respect...until all of a sudden they decided to no longer support veterans and military. I used to be able to afford eating there at least once a week because of the discount, but the manager decided that there will be no more discounts for veterans, and sneered when asked about it. As if veterans arent welcome to eat there. So I won't eat there again, with that type of discrimination. You guys should be ashamed, not supporting our military and their families. read more

If you've been to one Chipotle, it's safe to say that you've been to them all. Their ingredients are awesome and responsibly raised/acquired/etc. - which makes me feel a bit better about life in general. The service is generally great, with loads of people in sight who are all fairly eager to make your visit heavenly. However, every so often, a location does not live up to the promise of the brand. Such is the case with the location at 29th Street Mall in Boulder. These chaps (and chapettes) use way too much cilantro in the rice. Seriously. It looks like a 50% split between rice and cilantro, which produces a flavor that is wholly overpowering and not that great. A little cilantro is fine, but it shouldn't overwhelm the delicate taste buds. And given that rice is such a huge part of the burrito experience, my meal was kinda wrecked as a result. Sadly, it would be very inconsiderate to ask them to pick out some of the cilantro (given the assembly line nature of the place), so I'll just have to go someplace else the next time I'm there. I waited 15 minutes while they tried to fix their card reader. I eventually had to give up and leave because I had to go to class. This wouldn't have bothered me too much on its own, but it was incredibly frustrating because they gave my friends ahead of me their food for free, but arbitrarily decided that I would not receive my food. While my my friends finished their food I was forced to sit by the register and wait while they attempted to get their reader working. The lady at the register was also very rude when I asked if there were any other payment options besides cash or credit. Fortunately, this is boulder so you do not have to put up with this nonsense when you want this kind of food. Go to illegal Pete's or Qdoba instead. read more

I love, love, love Chipotle, but the main reason for my rating is due to the fact that I'm gluten-free, and Chipotle is one of the few places I can go with no worries of accidentally eating gluten. The staff are really good about changing gloves, washing their hands, and using new spoons when I let them know of my food allergy. And the one time a staffer didn't understand my request, a manager took over, remade my order and profusely apologized. Also, the margaritas are awesome! read more

BEST CHIPOTLE IN THE STATE! I am always blown away and impressed by the staff at this Chipotle. It's always clean and QUICK. Plus everyone is so friendly! They look happy! I work pretty close to the 29th street location and frequent this Chipotle probably 1 to 2 times weekly. It has yet to disappoint. As far as this location goes, it's incredibly busy. 90% of the time there is a long line. Luckily this store keeps a pretty full staff and they get through everybody very quickly. As far as the chain goes, I get really frustrated by their menu changes. I always get the soup & side salad or 1 taco & side salad - it used to be on the menu and no longer is. I am glad to say they still let me order it off menu. read more

Considering it is a chain restaurant, Chipotle is pretty decent. I'm biased because there is a kick ass burrito place (Zia Taqueria) set up similar to the way Chipotle is in Durango that I am 150% loyal to, but I can give them some kudos. Their salads are my favorite thing on the menu, which is weird, considering I am usually a huge, meat filled burrito kind of girl. I guess it's just the combination of their dressing, meat, beans, salsa, etc. that ropes me in, I can't bring myself to order anything else. Their chips are great too, they're famous for them apparently, they are always made fresh with this lime salt that gives them a little extra flare. Chipotle is pretty damn good for a chain restaurant, they have a good thing going for sure. (And their free burrito day is pretty great too haha) read more

I love the food, but the last three times I've gone the line has been 15-30 minutes long. It's not that it's a long line, I've seen that long of a line move in 5 minutes, it's that there aren't enough people working to keep the line moving. This time, the boys behind me ordered online, went and did their grocery shopping, came back to get their burritos and the line literally stopped right before me so they could fulfill all of the online orders. Dudes got their food and their grocery shopping done before I got my burrito. Props to them, but Boulder Chipotle, I gave you three strikes. You're out! This chipotle is one of the busiest I've ever been through. There's usually a line out the door but they move efficiently and pretty quickly. I've noticed that the staff here can get stressed at times and come off rude, which I understand, being that I was in the food industry and customer service industry. I do appreciate that they try their best and their food is always consistent. I've never gotten sick from chipotles food and enjoy their food a lot. read more

for some reason, the chipotle closest to my house closed, so this is my new chipotle spot. and its great! today they didn't have mild pico sauce, which was mildly disappointing, but for such a delightful place, it's excusable. their drink machine thing is away from the view of the workers, so you can ask for a free water cup and get something special. however, i of course have never done that! the outdoor seating is spacious, but it's by a pretty noisy road. that's not the chipotle's fault. they crumple your receipt unless you ask for it, so ask for your receipt before it comes out so you can get chipotle reward points. parking is always simple. and the food is great obviously. read more

Chipotle - Boulder 29th street Chipotle, in general as a chain, has the same sort of ambience everywhere: the strange juxtaposition of polished sheet-metal and faux Aztec gods, burrito in hand. This one however stands out from the rest in its strange elongated shape, which, while good for queuing, gives it a strange sort of feel, like a stretched and squished version of the standard. Nonetheless, and while this may seem surprising, the burritos (or burrito bowl, if you are into that sort of thing) ACTUALLY taste better than opposing places. Maybe the crew is especially hard working, maybe the elongated shape is more congenial to the burrito's essence - it is hard to say, but as it stands, this one is highly recommended. read more

I have ordered from this chipotle 3 times in the past couple of months and every time something is wrong with my order. First there was no rice in a burrito bowl, then missing toppings and finally I ordered a salad and the bowl was less than half full and missing the side of vinaigrette dressing! My parents started taking me to Chipotle in 1999 (I guess I'm an "early adopter") and to this day I don't get tired of it. It's been interesting watching Chipotle evolve over the years, but the food has never lost its quality. I love that everything besides the tortillas is gluten free...I always get a burrito bowl with chips and guac to go with. Barbacoa, carnitas, or chicken...you can't go wrong! This Chipotle in particular gets pretty dang busy (night and day compared to the Pearl St one) but that's because it's in a college town and so delicious. I try to arrive before 4:30 or after 8 to avoid the line (which can be out the door). There isn't a ton of seating but that's the size of the space they have...eventually this Chipotle should think about moving to a larger space in 29th Street Mall. read more

My friend got a bowl from here recently and there was a bit too much queso. I have also run into a similar issue here in the past with the ratio of ingredients in the burrito bowls... when one item is a higher quantity than the rest it ruins the bowl. 29th Street, Boulder, CO store needs supervision. Placed an order thru DoorDash (first mistake) to be picked up at 12:15. Received confirmation email that said order ready. Entered store fully-masked. At least two dozen (probably closer to three dozen) people in store, including a dozen in corner waiting for pickup orders. No social distancing. When order wasn't ready at 12:25, asked employee, who said she would check. Never saw her again. At 12:30 asked cashier, who said she couldn't find order and said I would have to get in line (which was out the door--with no social distancing). I asked to speak with manager who also said she couldn't find order, and said I would have to get in line. I showed her email with the order and asked if she could just take the order from email. She said I would have to write it down and give to cashier. No pen or paper anywhere. Terrible service. Violating Colorado law regarding retail social distancing. There was a young and very sweet employee who let me know my burrito was only the second they had wrapped and seemed a little nervous. I love this chipotle for many reasons. The food is always great and they absolutely have to have the hardest working, friendly staff of all time. I've never waited for long, even with lines out the door and they always take their time to ask how you're doing - even in the madness of Boulder lunch hour.
