Normally I wouldn't go out of my way to post a bad review but this location deserves one. Looked at the yelp page and I saw there are other reviews saying this location is bad too so I'm not surprised. I've ordered from this location before via uber eats and from previous experiences it wasn't great. I decided to order from here again thinking maybe they had a bad day so I could give it another chance. Was not worth the money because the portions have been reduced/downsized by ALOT. Quality of the food did not taste fresh. Portion sizing was the biggest thing because it was ridiculous how cheap they were being. Not sure if ordering in person would make a difference but for delivery it was really disappointing. Each time I've ordered from here the orders have been bad but this time it was just ridiculous. Ordered a burrito bowl, and normally at other locations in Manhattan they give you a decent amount of food. But at this one? Barely even fills the bowl halfway. Ordered a steak and a chicken bowl. Chicken had like 7 pieces of meat and a little burnt, streak was like 6 at most. Normally locations give you around 2 scoops of rice but there was barely even enough for 1, not even enough beans and there was like a "sprinkle" of cheese. The food was good but the service was horrible!! I ordered 3 tacos and a rice bowl. The server put rice in the tacos when I told her I only wanted chicken, I said I didn't want rice in the tacos she gave a look and threw the tacos out, she could've just put the rice in my bowl instead of wasting the tacos but she was so quick to catch an attitude. She did listen to anything I said and just passed my order to the next server which had an attitude as well! He was rushing wasn't listening to what I said and I had to keep repeating myself! i've been craving chipotle for the longest time, so i finally decided to give in. while i've had decent experiences with this location in the past, this time wasn't the best. i ordered for pickup through the chipotle app; you can also just order in person and pay with cash/card. when i went to go pick up my order, i had to check in with the cashier first. there wasn't anyone sitting inside, so i'm not sure if they're allowing any indoor dining on their premises yet. there's also no seating available outdoors. 3/11/21 -burrito bowl: i ordered the same bowl that i used to always get. i placed my order to have chicken, brown rice, black beans, roasted chili corn salsa, tomato salsa, fajita veggies, lettuce, light sour cream, and cheese. but, they messed up my order; they gave me guacamole instead of cheese, and forgot my fajita veggies. don't get me wrong, since i'm definitely not complaining about free guac. not to mention, i was pleased to see that the portion of food was quite generous and filling. the chicken was also cooked just the right amount. my biggest problem was how bland it was. i haven't had chipotle in almost half a year, so i was really expecting the taste of this to stand out. unfortunately, almost everything in this bowl lacked flavor. it was also a lot colder than i would've hoped for, even though i starting eating it less than 15 minutes after my pickup order time. the cost of my bowl was around $10, and i technically saved $2-3 by getting free guacamole. i think that the portion was worth the price, but the taste just didn't live up to my standards. Yes they're a necessary evil like the Panera Bread, McD, BK, Popeye's and Wendy's along 86th St shopping corridor but to the detriment of quality food. Chipotle's tried and true fast casual formula is unmistakable here but while the process and procedure in place have been indoctrinated into the staff, its implementation here is shaky at best, akin to the fast food segment across the street and that is a shame. With the exception of proteins like pork, everything else is simply dry and overcooked, hardly worthy of the price point people are gobbling it up. Expect quality and vote with your dollars. That being said, Tex-Mex fare isn't that easy to get to in this neighborhood unless you drive or enjoy walking long distances. Oh man...this is not a good location at all. The people working there are super friendly and the layout is nice - they have a good amount of seats and an upstairs area. However..the food quality was very low. I got a chicken/steak bowl with white rice, veggies, milkd salsa, corn salsa, lettuce guac and sour crea,/cheese. I did it up...I know. The lettuce was disgusting - I had to take it all off. It was clearly outdated and wilted/brown. The steak was a weird color, too - it did not taste like their steak. WORST CHIPOTLE IVE EVER BEEN TO! I love chipotle and I am there all the time! I always order the same exact thing 1/2 chicken and 1/2 steak. Every other chipotle gives me a great portion but this branch give me literally three pieces of each! When I ask for more they tell me that that's the serving size and every chipotle does that! The employees are extremely rude and difficult to communicate with (everyone besides the cashier). Also whenever I finish ordering, either there are no covers for my drink or there is jalapeño hot sauce! Honestly three to four times where I come here and have a TERRIBLE experience!
