I really like this place, I like the fact that I am having Mexican food in a Halal way. Not that I only eat Halal but it's a good option to have. The look of astonishment on my face after consuming Guac Time's Burrito Bowl. It was bitter-cold outside and I hadn't taken anything out to defrost for dinner. So, I functionally could not make dinner and emotionally had no motivation to make dinner, either. GrubHub it is! "The man" finds interest in Guac Time Restaurant. Fine. He's the picky one out of the two of us; Whatever he wants, I'll find something edible on the menu *just* to prevent him from shooting off the temper tantrum that I know he's got locked and loaded. We both order Burrito Bowls: I choose Shredded Chicken as my Protein, '86 the Rice, and he chooses Honey Chipotle Chicken for his Protein, white-lime Rice. The menu was familiar EXCEPT for the prices. It's Chipotle, but affordable. WHAT?!? The food showed up in lightening-fast speed. We anxiously ripped off the plastic covers and dived right in. This place. W.O.W. The shredded chicken was so flavorful, tender and delicious; it made the most beautiful fusion with the cheeses, corn guacamole and beans. Came on grand opening day when they were giving away a free meal (bowl or burrito). This is similar chipotle with different meats with sauces available to top it off. I got a bowl with the following: -honey chipotle chicken -fajita veggies -cilantro lime rice -queso blanco -pico de gallo -Mexican corn -jalepeno -romaine lettuce -picante habanero sauce For grand opening day, the workers knew the toppings and sauces well and everyone was nice and efficient. I expected the honey chipotle chicken to have more chipotle flavor and portions of each topping were a little light but for a free meal, not bad at all. I also like that vegan items are actually cheaper here. I will definitely be back to try other items on the menu, especially the vegan items. read more

Wow!!! An item that was paid for was NOT in the bag. It was picked up by my husband, not a delivery person. I called to tell them about the missing item- "Next you come we will give to you." Problem is, THIS TIME the item is missing! I don't want it Next Time. I got a lot of passing the phone around, and no manager to speak to... Person wouldn't give me their name so "next time" I could prove I was able to finally get the item! I asked to be credited for the item then, when quite suddenly the game of, "Hello, Hello, click" occurred. The service guy has very helpful and patient. got 3 tacos. the steak and chicken okay. the fish one was delicious. Still love the fried fish bowl from here however the portions are significantly smaller and honestly sometimes if you order guac as a topping option you better put on your glasses cause you're going to need it to try to find the guac. I recommended this place to my friend and she mentioned she encountered the same problem when ordering Uber eats. I usually order on the app but select pick up. This time I got there early and saw them making someone's bowl and I was impressed I was like Whoas it was loaded and packed to the brim. However when I looked at my dish that was premade but waiting for the fried fish it was lacking and half empty I even asked the guy if there was even guac in there he nodded and pointed to random areas in the bowl. However he must have seen my unimpressed expression and decided to scoop a bit more guac into my bowl. I used to love this place for the generous amount of food they give however there was barely any rice and definitely no guac if I hadn't been there asking if there was guac already in my bowl. I find the service at the Guac Tre' Jolie and the the food comparable to Chipotle no problem. Chipotle in Bay Ridge is terrific and personal. Guac Time is an up and comer to watch.
