Was passing by raritan road and stopped. Y this chipotle.. my kids like rice ane bean bowl... first of all, the service was soooo slow .. was a little bit crowded but it took us a long time in the queue . Lots of hard working people making food , but wish there were more people customer facing .. Food was ok .. veggies were fresh .. bean and rice was also good . Quantity was tooo less .. in other chipotle locations , they almost fill in the bowl full. Here it was half full :) .. guac could be better . Didn't taste like fresh . This place is a joke. I'm waiting for steak to be done for 15 minutes. Once it was done the guy decided to let it sit and do everything apart from cutting it and preparing it to be served quick. The place was dirty and the staff all looked they were prison cafeteria cooks based on expression and attitude. Never coming here again. read more

I was at The store in Clark NJ at 130 pm on Saturday Sept 14, For the $13.00 Plus which I paid for the bowl, yes I know Guac costs almost $3 more, The server gave me a whole lot of rice, about 1/2 a serving Spoon of Sofritas ( I asked for a bit more and he added about a teaspoon) So mostly rice and beans for $10. When I asked for Guac I got less than a serving spoon (those ladle servers, you could at least add one whole serving spoonful) - didn't say anything about that, but you know, I like it as a vegetarian option, but that is ridiculous. At least give me what Im paying for. Moe's is also expensive, but they give you enough for two full meals. And Taco Bell just can't be beat. I don't think I've ever felt so compelled to write multiple bad reviews about a singular location of any restaurant. This place is so poorly run. No one pays attention to anything. They used to never have ice, but good news! They have it now! Only problem is now they don't maintain the soda machine so the last two times I've been my options were seltzer or Mr pibb. They're also not paying attention to the orders. Today I got a carne asada burrito bowl with guac(which you have to pay extra for) and they gave me cheese instead. Maybe I'm the problem for hoping the closest location to me can just figure it out eventually with some employee turnover but it's getting worse and worse so clearly the problem here is management. I'll just have to try the district taco or bubbakoos burritos that have opened up near by or see if there's another location close enough to go to. Do not order from the app to be picked up. This is the third time in a row they messed up my order. Order a bowl with everything plus guacamole and only got rice and nothing else. $15 for the bowl and a $4 tip for the team and received a scoop of rice. Forgetting one item but forgetting 7? Will only order in line where I can ensure I am getting what I asked for and will never tip again. Also watched another customer leave without getting their food as I walked in. If I could give them no stars I would! Went in June 8th 2025 @ 3:00 kid on the line SUPER SLOW! Spoke very low, from our point of view very messy no one hopped on to help with the line that was forming. Someone by the sink didn't even wash his hands just standing there texting and smiling. Kid on the line looked annoyed lady on the cashier also looked annoyed to be there. Just throwing things in the bag. Then to top it all off walking out the garbage was disgusting overflowing and I didn't even want my food anymore, just shut the chipotle down if you don't have the staff this isn't the first time we go into that chipotle and it's a mess. Yikes! I've been to this chipotle maybe three times and every time has been bad. Usually they're insanely slow but today, even though they were busy, they were fairly quick so I'll give them that. This Chipotle NEVER has veggies and always says it will take 30-45 minutes to make them. I only eat the veggie bowls so it's a huge inconvenience to me to get allll the way to the front after a 20 minute wait just to learn they refuse to make veggies. Sometimes the store is messy. I often see ingredients getting mixed around in other ingredients. It just gets thrown back where it belongs instead of in the trash. Customer service is nice enough. It's always busy and the crew seems like they are hustling. Kudos for them for that. Make the veggies and I'll change my review. read more

The employees working here are extremely rude. Cursing when children are in line. Getting angry because they are about to close and don't want to serve customers food. The new protein on the menu at this Chipotle exclusive a lady bug. You never know what your going to get at chipotle sometimes a screw, a rock or a lady bug. On top of all this they get mad when you ask for a refund because they added a bug to your bowl. Also they continue to serve the same lettuce that the bug was in to other customers. On 12/06/24 at 3:43 PM, I observed 4 male workers handling food who had beards which were not covered to prevent loose hair from falling in the food. One if the males was working on the serving line. His beard was approximately 3 to 4 inches in length. Please not that this is a violation of local and state sanitation regulations. I will be monitoring this in future visits and will collect photo evidence to submit to Health/Sanitation Department of Clark and the NJ State Department is Health should I observe a reoccurrance of this unsanitary handling of food. read more

This was a last minute food stop because I was starving and wanted something quick. I ordered my meal online of the sofita tacos and it came to about $8.50. When I arrived the lady asked my name and grabbed my meal. I thanked her and walked out. When I got home I dug in. The food was cold and wasn't so good. I was so hungry I ate it anyway. I went to chipotle today and I start to order and the worker wasn't paying action and gave me a full sized quesadilla, when I asked for a kids. Then the guy took it and wrapped it up like a burrito. They burned both me and my sister's quesadillas and didn't care. It doesn't taste very good when they completely mess it up. read more

Hey Chipotle, I have enjoyed your food very much! Although I was a little concerned about the quality of the restaurant in Clark NJ! So first when I walked in I saw a salad that was spilled on the ground! The leaves were turning brown so that shows that it was there for quite some time! I also saw the floors being trashed all over the restaurant dining space! It looked like the janitors did not do a quality job on it! I saw one when I left, and they weren't doing much! The food was ok! My brother ordered a bowl and it was half empty when he received it! It looked a bit like someone eat his food. We were shocked that it was not a kids meal when the waiter assured us that we weren't receiving a kids meal by mistake! Hopefully my letter helps improve the quality of service in this location as I am used to getting consistently great food at chipotle! read more

This Chipotle is the location I frequent the most. I've never had a bad experience here. I've even picked up food from here during the pandemic a few times and the worst I've experienced in those times was maybe a longer pickup time (i.e. the order was supposed to be ready for pick up at 6 pm, but it's actually ready for pick up at 6:15 pm instead). However, my visit today grossed me out so much, I don't know if I can see myself coming back to this location in the near future. I picked up an order consisting of two items: a chicken burrito bowl and a veggie burrito bowl, which serves guac in lieu of meat/protein, at 9:30 pm today. The order was said to be ready at 9:15 pm, but I arrived at the store around 9:05 on. Now, the wait time itself didn't bother me, but what I saw during my wait definitely did. These are some of the things that I observed and was bothered by while waiting to pick up my food: - There were a handful of employees and customers wearing masks below their noses. I found it irresponsible of the employees to not be wearing their masks correctly and to not correct customers on mask etiquette. - I felt one employee in particular, who seemed to be the one handling customers like myself picking up online orders, was too curt with me. I get the feeling he might have been tired, given how late it was, but it still bothered me. - Customers who walked in to order seemed to be given preference over people who placed orders online. I saw at least three customers walk in, places orders, and walk out with their food after I placed my order. I feel like the purpose of placing an online order is to receive your food ahead in time, so seeing walk-in customers get their food faster bothered me. If I had known, I would have just walked in and ordered. Now, I thought I could have excused the wait time because their food is usually able to make up for it. The chicken burrito bowl was fine because it didn't have guac in it. The veggie bowl... not so much. I understand guacamole oxidizes and that we placed a late night order, but this guac was borderline gray. Avocadoes oxidize to a warm brown color and can be salvaged by scraping off the top layer to reveal their green color. This guac was this nasty color throughout. I also didn't wait a long time to eat the bowl--about 15 minutes elapsed from the time I picked up the food to the time I ate it. Clearly, the guacamole served in this bowl wasn't fresh. I'm not sure why anyone would think it's acceptable to serve food that looked like this. read more

Was there on Tuesday (6/20). I was there online waiting with a crowd about 6-8 people. This has been a on going issue. I order my food between 12pm-2pm. I was late to get back to work for my lunch break. But though that was the premise of my review. I do have to get props to the crew of chipotle. Especially with a woman that was working tirelessly to get the orders as efficiently and quickly as possible. I call her Rivera, because we share the same last name. Her customer service attitude didn't waver and she stayed professional. So I give her and the crew applause for that effort. I do appreciate that. read more

Smelled something amazing in the Clark shopping center. Thought is was chipotle, saw they had brisket so tried it in my salad. They had a sign saying since they use fresh ingredients some items may be limited. No guacamole available and when I asked for queso and chips she didn't even ask me what size. Once I got to the end of the line I asked for the dressing for my salad the girl that put my toppings on by salad goes we're out. Next! The girl that checked me out goes just the salad? I said yes my dry salad, next time please let someone know you are out of your dressing when you order a salad. She was nice enough to go look and get me some from the fridge. It just needed to be put into a container. Needless to say the only helpful person was the girl taking my money. The salad was brown in some parts and the rice was in clumps. The brisket was good. They need to clean up the restaurant. Even if you're busy you can have a clean workspace. read more

I was very excited several years ago when I found out that we were getting a Chipotle in Clark. While the restaurant was fine when they first open, it quickly went downhill. Now this is the Chipotle location I avoid at all costs. Too bad there's not another location nearby. Most of the time I try to order from this location, online ordering is unavailable, so i have to choose another burrito place instead. (Seriously, every other Chipotle has online ordering enabled but not this one). On my most recent visit, the restaurant was packed with GrubHub and UberEats drivers that were 45+ minutes past their pickup time. It seems Chipotle's systems were malfunctioning and promising pickup times far more aggressive than their staffing level would allow them to fulfill. Sadly, that regressed to the manager having to scream out to the crowd on multiple occasion to "call 1-800-chipotle" to let them know about the problem; it was not a pleasant experience. On previous visits, the store was either shut down for the day or had their payment systems offline so it was cash only. I really wish this location could be turned around, but given the sustained problems I've experienced at this location over the past 3 years, at this point, i'm hoping Chipotle pulls the plug on this location and starts fresh in a neighboring town. Save yourself the hassle and choose another restaurant instead. read more

I wish this store could get zero stars. This location has the WORST service. There is always an extremely long line that does not move. Today, after waiting for 20 minutes, one of the scant line cooks announced that the restaurant was only accepting cash. This is totally unacceptable. A restaurant doing business on this level should have a plan b in the event that the computers go down. This is the last time I will ever step foot in the Clark Chipotle (which doesn't even deserve to call itself a chipotle). I don't know why i keep giving chipotle chances. Half the time i come here they're out of chicken, or the line is a mile long. The other half of the time i end up getting giant pieces of cartilage or bone in my burrito. The quality of the food here is poor and the work force running it are not equipped or up to the standards that chipotle used to have 10 years ago. Ordered delivery at our local Chipotle using the app (as we always do). They messed up $60 worth of food--not one single item was correct. Plus no utensils or napkins. that's not even the worst part.. When we tried to call the location several times, no answer. We put in a compliant in the app and instead of offering a refund or some sort of fair value trade to acknowledge the mistake, the bot automatically gave us vouchers for three drinks and ended the conversation. This was incredibly poor service for a franchise we usually love to eat at and a waste of money. read more

I don't know what's going on but $10 for a bowl is too much when you're getting a light weight bowl. Chipotle was known for their bowls being heavy and filling. I'm a grown 6'3" 210 lb man that when I get out the gym I want to eat a good protein filled meal. The meal I was looking forward to having today fell real short from that. Soda vending machine was a joke: Coke Zero poured Code with berry taste :)) :)) Diet Coke dispenser was defective and poured some in glass, some on my hand and some on floor all over. 4. This is the worst chipotle I have ever been to in my life. I've gone there twice and have been disappointed both times. The first time they were out of mild sauce (30 minutes before closing) and their guacamole was flavorless. I decided to give them another chance ... wrong again. They claimed they never had rice without cilantro which is False because I've gotten it at this location just two weeks ago. The burrito completely fell apart when i unwrapped it (and I'm not new to chipotle burritos) and on top of that ... it was cold. -_- this is coming from someone who enjoys their food lukewarm .... the rice was so cold.
