Chicken earmuff with tortilla on the side

1st time coming to Linden, NJ location and it was pleasant visit. It's located right off route one and is next to a strip shopping area with shared parking spaces. The service was friendly but a bit slow. Good thing it was a weeknight and I'm the only one on the line around dinner time. The food was good and portion size is generous. I got their tofu bowl, brown rice, lettuce, corn and tomatoes, grilled onions and peppers, guac and jalapeño. I love their unlimited chips and their salsa bar area. They have different mild and spices to their salsa to meet with everyone's preference. The fountain drinks area has 100 different flavors or soft drinks which is cool.

I ordered delivery through UberEats. It was my first time having Moe's and I was very happy with my meal. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl, it was very fresh, filling and came with a side of tortilla chips. I added guac at no extra charge. Lunch was under $10, I will be ordering from them again.

Moe's is a blend of Chipotle and Baja Fresh. Have come to this location a few times, everyone is always friendly and they get you in and out quickly. Picked up a to go order today and enjoyed our meal. I tried the funkmeister steak tacos, one soft shell and one hard shell, and my husband got the earmuff burrito bowl. Don't really understand the naming convention here but it is what it is. The burrito bowl was really big, enough to eat from it twice. Two tacos were filling although I did enjoy the hard taco shell more than the soft shell taco. I filled both in exactly the same way to compare. The ingredients were fresh but I would probably try a different meat next time. The steak was a little chewy and wasn't too flavorful. The chicken looked decent so I might get that next time. Every dish here comes with a side of chips, which is a nice bonus. They have a salsa bar after you checkout so that you can get cups of sauce to dip your chips into. The salsa bar was neat and full and I loved how they had the to go containers neatly stacked so that you could easily bring salsas home with you if you are taking it to go. Thinking back I should have used some of that salsa on my taco! Nutrition info is available on their website which is neat especially because adding on toppings can quickly add up and you're not sure why. This was helpful for ordering. Plenty of space to eat inside but because the parking lot is shared with a few places it makes it a little hard to find parking sometimes. Not too bad though. It's a low key casual spot for lunch or dinner. Fun decor inside that takes it a step above doing fast food. It is a nice environment to casually eat here. Very clean place and lots of seats.

Ever have a place you just like going to where it just feels comfortable? This is "MY comfort zone". The food is always good, they play good music, it's clean and the staff always yells "Welcome to Moe's!" - I know, it sounds corny, but sometimes, I want corny, I like corny! Don't get me wrong, the other Mo's I have been to are okay, but to me, the one in Linden, NJ is literally the best. They pay attention to detail, every detail: I have been there many times. There is an ambiance and friendly feeling here that not many places have. I'm a big guy at 6'2" 240lbs (I work out) and this is the only place I go to that gives me portions that fill me up. My favorite dish is "The Earmuffs". I pretty much double everything: steak, rice, beans, cheese, grilled onions, pico de gallo, cucumber, tomato, olives, guacamole, etc. "DID YOU BRING YOUR SPOON?" says David, one of the people I know that works there. "Yes I did, how's it going?" No one knows I bring a large Chinese soup spoon because I hate the little plastic ones, except David. I don't know if he's the manager or owner, but he should be. The guy is always doing something! Besides the really good food, I get as many sodas, free chips and salsa as I want! That's another thing that makes me happy. I know it's not a fancy restaurant, but due to the food, price, ambiance, cleanliness and attention to detail... This Moe's gets 5 stars!

I love this place, and my granddaugher whose extra picky has to eat from here EVERY week..The staff is personable, and go out of there way to make you feel comfortable. Plus, I've lost 12 pounds with healthy alternatives on the menu! This is the fastest good food ever! I've even got my coworkers frequently eating lunch here! No complaints, great staff, good food, nice ambience, phenomenal music all on a working class budget!!! Thank you Moes !!! I've been here after 9, and there's been plenty of food and efficient staff...

Second time going into a Moe's I don't think I'll ever return. Their nasty customer service and lack of cleanliness must be universal

It used to be a thicker tortilla but glad they made it thinner. That made me eat more of the Taco de bistec. Even the salsas are always fresh. We are glad to have a local mexican restaurant nearby. We asked for two to-go containers, and my friend requested a third because there wasn't enough room for her side dish. At that point, the waitress told us there would be a $3 charge for the containers. We declined to pay for all three and instead offered to pay for one. The waitress and another employee insisted we should pay for all three, which made for an uncomfortable interaction. The biggest issue came when the bill arrived. My entrée was listed at $14 on the menu, but I was charged $18. When I asked to see the menu, I was asked why I wanted it. I pointed out that my meal was clearly listed at $14, but I was told the price could be increased. Charging more than the posted menu price without notifying customers beforehand is unacceptable. Between the unexpected charges and the way our concerns were handled, the overall experience was frustrating. We won't be returning.

Our server was very pleasant, but unfortunately didn't speak English at all so when my friend asked to pack up her food, they got rid of it instead. They gave back the charge receipt, but without the credit card and it took forever to get them back to the table. Overall, I liked it, but the end of our experience was not great. Quick update: my friend reached out to the manager because after throwing her away the offered to make her another but only sent her home with 2 ribs and the peppers without the chorizo that she didn't even touch our the veggies and plantains. We were stupid for not checking first for sure. She ate two of the three ribs so I don't even know where they got the second rib that they gave her. I'm assuming they remade them. The manager asked that she text instead because he didn't speak English and wanted to be able to use Google translate I'm bilingual so I understand the struggle, but not being able to speak to anyone including the manager in english is completely unacceptable, in my opinion. I really love this place and will always support local Businesses but after bringing in new patrons and having this experience I would not put my name on a recommendation for them again.

We waited over 30 minutes after ordering for our food. I ordered tacos al pastor, which I thought were delicious, but as you can kind of see on the red tray where the food came on, it was very greasy. Lime also didn't have any juice, and small avocado pieces that came with the nachos we also ordered were not ripe at all. They were hard and chewy :(. I also very, very much love green salsa, but by the time I was finishing up pouring it all over my last taco, I found hair. I understand these things happen + the avocado/lime may not necessarily be the restaurant's fault as maybe it isn't the right season for them, and I truly wanted to get over it, but I'd truly prefer no hair at all in my food. Not the best experience. I did end up finishing my tacos because I was starving, but my partner left more than half the nachos he ordered. I do wish the restaurant the best as the ambiance was nice and I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time, but definitely could use some work as it's little things that can make a difference. :( Thank you anyways!!!

This is more of a take out spot. There were two tables inside and another 2-3 outside. I ordered to go and the food was cold by the time I sat down to eat (10 minutes). My order consisted of 4 soft tacos ( 2 chicken & 2 alpastor), 1 order of chicken chalupa, and 1 steak platter. The food was good but not amazing. The green sauce was nothing special - it had an interesting taste. I tried dipping a few bites in the sauce but ended up leaving the rest. In my opinion, the Alpastor soft tacos are better than chicken. The chicken was dry and so was the corn tortilla. But the alpastor was flavorful and goes well with the cilantro, onions, and lime on the side. My friend has the Steak platter and she rated it a solid 7.8/10. She wasn't a fan of the beans and the extra tortilla wasn't great either so that was left unfinished. The steak and rice was good and she appreciated the Chips and guacamole that came with. There is a parking lot available so street parking is not a concern.
