The person taking the order did not understand or speak English. She screwed up my wife's and daughter's orders...costing us more money. They refused to make a quesadilla, saying they only make them for online orders. Weird, I've gotten this at every Chipotle including this store. Corporate-train your people and remove some ridiculous rule that an online quesadilla order is somehow easier to make than me simply asking for it in person. read more

I'm so surprised and glad I didn't read the reviews prior to ordering via the app. I ordered my son a kids taco meal on a Sunday afternoon and the order was ready in under 10 minutes. I've never been to a curbside location and this surprising so easy, pulled up, gave him my name and I was off. The portion and quality far surpassed the Southbury, CT location which is typically a hot mess. The order was accurate and well packaged. I'll definitely drive the extra distance in the future to come back to this location. 10/10 for the mobile order! read more

Similar to another post from today. I ordered my food on the app to be picked up at 10:10. it is now 11:30 and i have JUST received my food. it seems there has been something going on here for at least five hours. Nobody will give a straight answer on what's going on. There looks like there's lots of yelling and fighting between workers and costumers are not being helped or told what's happening. I think an employee might have quit on the spot and they are understaffed and don't have enough food or something??? People saw employees actually throwing food away??? The store is technically closed now, but it seems they are still trying to get food out. even thought they have run out of items i guess. never in my life have i seen such a situation at any restaurant or fast food chain. absolutely insane. We were not compensated for the crazy amount of time we waited. read more

To mirror what others have said...this location is always filthy from the food service area to the garbage to the bathrooms. I've given this location several chances after moving from their original location in the mall but it is still consistently among the worst Chipotle locations I've ever been in. On top of the filth on our most recent visit this location was out of both guacamole and Chipotle Tabasco. Avoid if you are in the area. read more

I love this chipotle! I've been there lots, staff are lovely. I usually do drive thru, but the few times I've been inside, it was clean.

As a manager in the service industry, I have to say I was impressed with the customer service from an employee named Tristan who sincerely cares about the establishment. I hope management notices, even when about to close having that much care with the guests goes a long way. read more

Absolutely amazing brand new chipotle in the area with a very well kept and cleanly sanitized everything! It even has a drive thru order pickup! Love this location. I'm a fan of chipotle as is but this new location is everything. The decor is nice and sleek, a tad more modern than the older ones. Nice team and nice staff of young ones that are running the place very smoothly. In and out ordering. Every ingredient was available and fresh. The drive thru is a total perk. It doesn't quite work like a McDonald's drive thru but more like a place ahead ordering type of thing. You can also call the order in ahead of time. Very convenient so you don't have to get out of your car. Think of it as a drive thru curbside pickup ish type of thing. It works! Hope to see this place continue to stay the way it is because I'm loving it! read more

Don't have this a lot. Not sure how this can be so bad compared to other chipotles. The burrito was so uneven, ingredients all in their own area. The steak was cartilage filled fat. Really, you don't see what you are cutting? Throw it out, not in my burrito. Most likely the last time. read more

I've never been so disappointed in a franchise, this Chipotle has the nerve to not to give me my change when I said if your not gonna return my change then may I have my food back. This place is HORRENDOUS. The food is disgusting, the place is so dirty I'm afraid I'll get Hepatitis. Every single table was filthy. The floor in front of the soda machine was very wet and NO ONE working there was attempting to mop it up. I'm not talking a little bit of water, I mean a massive amount of water where my son was straddling a puddle just to try to get his drink. All around that same area looked like it hadn't been wiped down in days. We reluctantly sat a table in which we used napkins to wipe ourselves and struggled to eat. We both felt disgusted by the dirty atmosphere and the taste of the food wasn't good either! My son order a bowl. He asked for steak, cheese, pico, sour cream and guacamole. He got about 4 pieces of steak and the rest was all condiments. The most condiments was the guacamole and sour cream. He basically ate a bowl of guacamole and sour cream and we we got the car he said he felt sick and needed to go home and lie down. I told him he should have just thrown it away, like it did 3/4ths of mine. I could only get through 1/4 of it. It was gross!!!!!! I do not recommend this place at all. If you do go, wear your hazmat suit. If this is what they allow the customer to see, I can't even imagine what is happening in the back behind the scenes. One word: Filthy. read more

We arrived at 7:30 PM - our designated pickup time in the drive thru. Two cars ahead of us. We finally got to the window at 7:40. The workers clearly had no sense of urgency. We noticed a bag sitting on the counter with sour cream down the side of it that a worker then wiped off, but it looked like it had been sitting there soaking on the bag for awhile - hope nobody used it because the bag looked soggy like it may tear. Took another 10 minutes for us to be greeted - the girl had been looking over at us constantly while doing what appeared to be nothing until she finally came over. She didn't greet us in any way. She just stared at us with a blank look and waited for us to give her the name on the order. We give the name. She then told us "okay, we will start your order after the one we're working on. Too many orders." Okay... we continue to see she appears to be doing nothing (looked like she was waiting for the kitchen to bring food over - fine, they were busy). She then comes over again and finally asks what drinks we would like (she couldn't do that in the time she stood there not working on anything?) We tell her Pibb - she didn't seem to know what Pibb was and gave us a very confused look (your team should probably be aware of the entire menu before they are trusted to fulfill mobile orders from start to finish). Then, we watched as she tried to fill the cups with ice and barely got any out of it - machine was out of ice. She then filled the two cups with soda - leaving a very large empty space at the top. She handed the two sodas and 3 straws. We then waited for the food and assumed the bottle of Grapefruit Izze would be placed in the bag. Took another 10 minutes for the food to come out - now about 30 min of sitting there waiting and with poor service. She finally comes over and gives us the bag. Because of the experience up until that point, we check to make sure everything is there. The Grapefruit Izze is not in the bag, no napkins/no utensils (we did request these on the order). We didn't open the bowls until we got home, but discovered just ONE of three burrito bowls were made properly - one was missing sour cream and the other missing the fajita veggies. The fajita veggies specifically has been a problem in the past as well at various locations. For some reason the employees don't understand that you can either get the fajita veggies instead of meat in the 'Protein or Veggie' section on the app... or that you can also get it in the 'Top things off' section in addition to the meat. We asked for Polla Asado as the protein and fajita veggies in addition as one of the toppings. And to end this terrible experience, not yet knowing the bowls were made incorrectly... we sat there at the window to request the missing Grapefruit Izze and napkins/utensils. The same girl looked over at us continuously for 10 more minutes while we waited to be helped - she made eye contact several times. She never came over. We were too upset with the service to even walk in to get what we needed and just drove off instead. We feel bad for the many people in line behind us - hopefully their food wasn't sitting while we waited for ours. WORST experience at a Chipotle ever. We never get a fully amazing experience anyway (not since we moved to Connecticut in 2011 from Texas - the locations in Texas were all pretty good), but this was the most terrible and we will never be returning to another location in our area again. Your team needs to be trained in speed, efficiency, manners (hospitality), and order accuracy. Cleanliness as well - all locations in the Danbury area always have dirty dining rooms and drink areas that are not stocked. And in the past we have experienced the same employee handling cash at the register then going over to make food with the same gloves. Your employees are incompetent. I would ask for a refund or reimbursement via gift card or something for my order since it was a terrible experience and so many things were messed up, but I doubt anything will come out of this review and I wouldn't want to eat at Chipotle again anyway. Not sure why we have put up with the locations around here for so long and continued to visit. Please train your team better, otherwise I foresee these locations in our area not doing well much longer. read more

I'm such a picky eater but I finally found a nice order at chipotle that i've been liking for a little while now. Since being in Danbury this chipotle has let me down so much. It's such a shame how good the food is but how terrible the service is. Everytime I come the workers always have a terrible attitude and just don't really care at all. I get it I've worked service jobs before but cmon greet someone with a smile at least fake it. I keep giving this place a chance because I love the food but I can't stand these workers. read more

If you order on the app for pickup, don't go by the time they give you, they aren't gonna start making your order until you get there. Also don't leave without making sure you got everything you paid for, this location is notorious for leaving items out of orders, happened to us twice. Even when there's a line out of the door you have workers just walking around pretending to clean things five and six times. I wish I could record the foolery. I would give 0 stars if that was an option. Placed an on line order. Picked it up and went home. When opened at home it was very different than what I ordered. My family waited to eat dinner for me to drive all the way back to the store to get the correct order. The staff and manager claimed that the order was different that what was ordered as they were out of some ingredients. Two issues: 1) they clearly had some of the ingredients that were missing from what was provided; and 2) more importantly, no notation was made on the order when I picked it up that the meal was different than ordered due to missing ingredients. This is not an isolated incident as this has happened to me before. I will never patronize this location again. read more

This chipotle is always out of Chips & Queso. Every single time we go in. We ordered online and got there and they we didn't have them. So I was charged for Chips & Queso and never received them. Also; they stated "if you were to order additional food items and we didn't have them we would just not give them to you and not say anything". This absolutely unacceptable and I am very displeased. The Chipotle on 81 Newtown Road in Danbury is by far the worst food establishment I have ever been to. The service is horrible. They are playing loud inappropriate music with swear words and phrases that include suck my d#%*. Our food took an additional 35 minutes to finish on top of the time the app said it would be ready. The service was subpar. I ordered 3 crunchy tacos and half of the ingredients I usually order were not even available to choose from. For example, there was no cheese available, and when I asked for cheese, the employee looked at me like I was crazy. C'mon, cheese!?!? How do you not have cheese?! Mind you this is make in the middle of the day during lunch. I already waited a while in line only to discover many ingredients I usually pick for my tacos not there. Even though it was a sad looking taco, I still was charged full price, $13.47, that's basically robbery. Here is the cherry on top, when I asked for chipotle Tabasco, that was also unavailable. The employee basically said "I don't know where anything is, this place is a mess." I love Chipotle, and was excited with this new location in my neighborhood. I've now been there consistently enough to say that they still need to figure out how their rice cooker works. I've had countless servings of rock hard crackly rice - awfully cooked really. I believe in the brand and believe this is a correctable issue but it does need correcting. You know what to expect at Chipotle but this place was so far below the bar it doesn't deserve the 1 star. 3 steak tacos were inedible, the meat tasted so so but impossible to chew. Chips were as stale as if they had lived in an open container for a week. The queso had enough salt for my next 3 meals. I seldom review a place unless it's really amazing or really bad. The entire restaurant was visibly dirty, and somehow completely out of beans. The kid who made my burrito was either unbelievably high or the most disdainful fast food employee I've ever encountered, and there seemed to be all of two people working there so most of my party ended up waiting about 10 minutes to pay after their food was made. My friends and I decided not to eat in the restaurant (due to the layer of filth covering every surface) so we went back to the car, where we discovered all of our burritos were cold. God himself could not convince me to visit this restaurant again. read more
