Absolutely awful experience. The manager acted like customers were an inconvenience from the moment we walked in. we were met with eye rolls and attitude. Every interaction felt like we were bothering the manager not the staff just the owner. To make matters worse, several other people leaving the restaurant were talking about how they'd been treated the same way. It was obvious this wasn't just a bad day--it seemed like this was the normal atmosphere. Terrible experience. I came with two friends who were both ordering full meals, but because I personally wasn't ordering food, the manager came over and told me, "You don't eat, you don't seat," and made me leave the restaurant. I understand that restaurants can have policies about seating, but there was no reason to be rude or disrespectful about it. The way the manager handled the situation was completely unprofessional. Instead of politely explaining the dumb policy, he was dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. Customer service goes a long way, and this was one of the worst interactions I've had at a restaurant. There are plenty of places that know how to treat people with respect. Aw man,I think this place fell off. Still no salsa bar and containers that can't even fit a chip to try to dip in. I ordered chili lime chicken said and in the past, it's my favorite salad. This time, they didn't provide enough dressing so my salad was mostly dry.. very tiny container and 1/16th of an avocado. Two small slivers. Bummer! I actually have a pic of how the salad used to look in my previous review here, so I can really see the difference. And The tortilla chips tasted like they were made in bad oil. My favorite place for lunch. Good Mexican style food. Healthy although I avoid the chips and tortillas. Good mix of veggies and a variety of proteins, shrimp steak chicken. I like the fajita platters and the three pepper burritos. I'm a regular and I find the staff treats me well. Often they bring my food to my table for me so I don't have to get up and get it. They often add both salsa to my plate. The price is very reasonable and compared to other fast food joints is very healthy. read more

Always a good meal at Senor Salsas! My wife and I frequent this place when we are in the mood for a quality meal with fresh ingredients. Place is right on the Post Rd. and has a parking lot. It's an order at the counter and take seat type of place, no server. My go-to is always the Steak Fajita, i either get the soup or the platter. I prefer the soup a little more, just feel like it captures more of the steak chili flavor. The platter is served over a bed of rice with a crunchy tortilla bowl. My wife gets the Chili Lime chicken salad which is her absolute favorite salad to get anywhere. Good size portion and is always fresh and spot on. Kudos to Senor Salsas for including free chips and salsa which should be normalized everywhere, we love this place! read more

I've been a fan of Señor Salsa for so many years and every time I return the quality never wavers! The burritos are the perfect size and packed in beautifully, the quesadillas have the perfect ratio of excess tortilla to filling and cheese, the nachos are so loaded you'd think they were Jeff Bezos himself on a platter-- needless to say this spot knows how to give you the biggest bang for your buck I will always remain loyal to this wonderful establishment! read more

They need to change the name to Poca Salsa!!! The Salsa bar is no longer available! You have to ask for hot or mild, and they are very weird about getting both or salsa verde. We used to love Senor Salsa but now, not so much. The food is not as great as it was - smaller portions, not as well-seasoned, thrown together. No more salsa bar. Worst though has been the sullenness of the counter staff which sometimes borders on hostility. We're so sorry that you have to call out a number and hand the customer a bag. They talk about the customers, assuming (wrongly) that no one understands the language. We just don't bother anymore, there are enough other options. read more

We were a group of motorcyclists that started at Chipotle in Bridgeport but the wait was 40 mins with only 5 customers on line. Workers there didn't care so we left and headed over to Senor Salsa which was recommended by a friend. Glad we went because we were immediately served upon arrival. Small restaurant but pretty busy when we arrived in the afternoon. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit outside because it was crowded. Menu consisted of typical Mexican dishes which were very good. Nice spot for a quick lunch which suited us well. We definitely would go back. Saw some bad reviews of this place but not during our visit. So far so good. read more

Been at Senor Salsa a few times now. I always for the Cancun Shrimp Burrito and haven't been disappointed so far. This time I went during COVID and first thing that caught my eye was no salsa bar! I understand, but I miss the salsa! Second thing everybody working wears a mask except the manager--not leading by example it's called. Thirdly it was kinda dirty, the tables were not cleaned in between costumers, and they have enough personnel that day. Lastly the burrito is not quite matching up with the pre-COVID one. Covid has not been good to this place. It's still busy, but the quality has decreased markedly. Today I got a fish burrito, something I've had probably 1,000 times here, and the fish had a revolting smell and taste. The "veracruz burrito" instead of avocado and cream sauce now has green olives and capers. It is revolting. You now have to ask for salsa, and they ration it. I ordered 4 meals, asked for salsa, and was given two tiny containers. One is just chopped tomatoes and a breath of onion. This was my first time in Señor Salsa since 2017, but I've been eating here since it was known as "La Salsa". I've never been disappointed with the food, and the nachos are one of my favorite nachos in Connecticut. Today I decided to try something I've never had, going with the Los Cabos burrito and a side of chips and guacamole, with mild salsa. I've had the guacamole plenty of times and today was no different: Freshly prepared, bright flavors, creamy texture, and great with the crunchy chips. The mild salsa was also excellent. I should mention that the fresh salsa bar is shut down for the time being, which is very disappointing, since it's part of the Señor Salsa experience. The Los Cabos burrito was very good and the portion was perfect but perhaps a bit smaller than I remember. The list of ingredients on their menu mentions bacon but I didn't notice any in my burrito. Overall a great and tasty burrito. I was surprised to see so many recent bad reviews. The food I had today was good and I have no reservations about going back. read more

I would be giving you 0 stars if that was an option which is super unfortunate to be writing this as my boyfriend and I were long time customers of this place. Long story short we went for some lunch today and got the usual menu items (steak and chicken quesadilla and 2 chicken tacos), went home and noticed that the quesadilla looked off but kind of just shrugged it off as there being more steak in there than usual. Within LESS than an hour of my boyfriend eating his quesadilla he was violently throwing up on the side of the road, literally for like 5 minutes straight. I did try to call and inform the employees that they were clearing serving meat that was bad and was simply looking for a refund to which they told me the owner would get back to us in an hour to speak. 2 and a half hours later we call ourselves looking for the owner to refund us to which he "uhs" us a thousand times (like we were lying) and refuses a refund when we tell him we are reporting them to the health department. I will be letting all of my friends/family (also loyal customers) know to never come back here not for the food poisoning but the TERRIBLE customer service displayed by the owner. read more

I was a bit confused when I got there. Although they do have tables, you are expected to go to the cashier and order your meal then you sit yourself if you intend to eat in. The restaurant is a bit on the small side but at the time we went there were more than enough tables to sit at. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup, the classic quesadilla, the queso fundido and it was all very good. The best of all was the soup which was full of flavor. I had a cup but could have eaten the bowl. Every other part of the meal was good. I definitely think I will be back to try other food options from the menu. read more

Each order comes with chips and you can eat it with the salsa from the self serve salsa bar! They have their own parking lot but it's small so be prepared to do some slick maneuvering if it's busy.
