Professional traveler here, on the road for 25 years. You know what to expect at Chipotle but this place was so far below the bar it doesn't deserve the 1 star. 3 steak tacos were inedible, the meat tasted so so but impossible to chew. Chips were as stale as if they had lived in an open container for a week. The queso had enough salt for my next 3 meals. I seldom review a place unless it's really amazing or really bad. The entire restaurant was visibly dirty, and somehow completely out of beans. The kid who made my burrito was either unbelievably high or the most disdainful fast food employee I've ever encountered, and there seemed to be all of two people working there so most of my party ended up waiting about 10 minutes to pay after their food was made. My friends and I decided not to eat in the restaurant (due to the layer of filth covering every surface) so we went back to the car, where we discovered all of our burritos were cold. God himself could not convince me to visit this restaurant again. read more

The last 3 experiences I've had at this specific chipotle has been awful! The first experience was that they ran out of chicken and they said it would take about an hour before they were going to have more at lunch time. The second time they said that they were only taking mobile orders and couldn't assist me. The last experience I went there they were so rude and standoffish I just walked out! I love chipotle but not this location at all! I would leave 0 starts if I could. I don't write reviews ever really, but this place is so bad they need to hear this. The food was ok but my burrito ripped and fell apart in one bite. I waited 5 minutes to get a bow to put it in cause the 5-10 workers were too busy hanging out. Also this is the dirtiest place ever. Counter full of scraps and mixed around too. read more

This is by far the worst Chipotle I've been to. Ordered my quesadilla through the app. The order said it'll be ready by 2:30, didn't get it until 3:10. I was given attitude when I asked where the order was. The restaurant was dirty, no napkins anywhere, garbages filled, couldn't even through out my garbage. The bathrooms where completely locked. Complete disregard for customer service. Very disappointed. read more

Employees here are rude and unprofessional. Would rather be on their phone or talk to their friends in the restaurant than help customers. Waited at the counter for at least 10-15 minutes before I just walked out. Unacceptable. read more

Tonight I entered the Chipotle on Backus Ave Danbury (mall), unkept and disorganized as usual, hoping to get my daughter a burrito with their El Pastor chicken. I quickly found out that they were out and started to leave, but the young man behind the counter suggested that I waited 5 minutes for the next batch. I reluctantly decided to wait since it was my daughter's order. He then confirms with whom I found out later was his manager that the next batch (a young woman with a hostile demeanor). Ten minutes later, I approach her asking if the el pastor would be ready. She took a look at the burnt scraps left in the nearly empty container, told me this was enough and disappeared somewhere in the back kitchen. When I proceeded to express my disappointment to the young man who was still serving what was left of their disorganized offerings, he nonchalantly tell me that there's nothing he could do, that she was his manager, that I didn't wait any longer than any one else in line (which was completely untrue) and that I should not be upset. At that point, I was beside myself. I could not believe it!! I accepted the guy's offer to wait 5 mins and waited twice as long and was meant with disrespect and disregard. I have never experienced such appalling customer service!! Needless to say, I will not be returning to the Danbury Fair Mall Chipotle anytime soon, and I would caution others against subjecting themselves to such a dismal dining experience. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Not only do workers just stand around pretending to be doing something and ignoring a building line, the place is dirty. Customers were cleaning the tables themselves and the floor was covered in trash. Guy cutting the meat was clearly high as a kite and it all just became too much so I got out of line and took my wife to salsa Fresca about a half a mile away where the food is actually fresh.... you also get chips and salsa with every order. read more

Smallest burrito ever..plus, salad was given to us upside down, so it leaked right through the bag. This new location is pretty terrible. For $30 for a burrito and salad, you would expect more. DO NOT USE THE DRIVE THRU. It's for mobile orders only and it takes forever for someone to even acknowledge you. I waited in line for 20 minutes before someone admitted that they didn't even start making the order. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the food is good. Highly disappointed in my experience at chipotle on newtown road in danbury ct. first, you walk into a dirty environment, dirty floors, dirty tables. Second, music was blasting like i was in a night club, they could not hear my order and i could not hear them. third, there was a female employee who either appeared to be an active drug addict or recovering addict. Not bashing anyone who's on drugs and is still willing to work but that appearance doesn't look good. she appear to be nodding out while she was trying to take customers orders, then she was spraying windex near the food to clean the glass coverings. i was so disgusted i walked out. read more

I have had three awful experiences with this chipotle in a row and I really don't know what is going on because they used to be one of my favorites. 1st: my family and I ordered ahead in the app (5 entrees) and when we got to the store they told us it was going to be another 20 minutes in addition to the 20 minutes we ordered ahead. We had to go inside to finally get our food and when we took it home we opened them to find black (not even brown) guac on the top. When we went back they said that they didn't have any guac and that was all they could give us (why not tell us that before putting nasty guac on our food?) 2nd: I went during a break at work and waited 15 extra minutes in the drive thru just for them to tell me that they couldn't make my order and I could get a refund on the app (which was not a refund but a voucher...) 3rd: the next day I went back during lunch in person to use my voucher and there was a long line so I was patient with the workers as they were trying their best. When I finally got my food and went to pay I asked for a drink and the worker let out a loud sigh and rolled her eyes so dramatically because apparently she couldn't add it on now that she had started the payment. I tried to use my voucher from the bad experience before and she was huffing and puffing the whole time and finally told me it worked and to put my card in for the drink. went there for a dhs fundraiser, the girl at the register, idk her name but she looked like a mouse. she was so rude. she rushed me the entire time and didn't ask if i wanted anything else. when i asked for a drink and chips after she told me my total she got annoyed as if it was my fault she didnt ask me what i wanted. then she got mad when i didnt mention that it was for a fundraiser until after running my card, but she didnt give me 2 seconds to say that i was there for the fundraiser. i hope she get fired fr shes too focused on being fast rather than not being rude. good food tho like always! read more
