I never leave reviews. But over the past 6 months this chipotle has been horrible. Horrible service, and horrible managers. They are always short staffed and never have any of the ingredients on the line. They're debit/credit machine is always down and force you to pay cash after you order your food. It is not very hard to screw up Chipotle - but this branch managed to blow it big time. Their staff is SO RUDE!!! My bowl was messed up after I repeated what I wanted multiple times because no one was listening to me (I order a veggie bowl with barely any ingredients - it's not complicated). I asked for lettuce 3 times and the girl behind the counter visibly rolled her eyes and put the lid on my container (I asked for it to stay FYI). I asked again and she said they didn't have any lettuce but it was right there in front of me. I used to love this location and eat there frequently, but lately my sofritas bowls have been containing several cubes of steak each. If you peer into the container of sofritas in their counter you can see chunks of meat in there too. When I bring it to the attention of the workers nobody seems to care and nobody removes the meat. As a vegetarian who can't eat meat without getting sick, it's frustrating that I have to carefully sift through every fork full of their "meat-free" option before actually eating. read more

Ordered through door dash. After I ordered driver called me thirty five minutes later to tell me they didn't have my tacos or chips and queso. Then when he got here my burrito was a bowl. Didn't have Romaine , cheese , Fajitas veggies or green chili salsa like it was supposed to. Food was cold and the rice was white. I visited the Chipotle in Hamden this afternoon around 11:30 to get two take-out burrito bowls. I had mold on my shredded cheese, and when I brought it back, it was an argument to receive a refund. Luckily, I had picture proof on my phone to prove that the cheese was moldy. I absolutely love Chipotle but this location definitely made me second guess myself. I can understand it gets really busy at times, but so does every Chipotle in America. It's not a reason be pushy and sorta rude to people. I was super excited to find out this location served Patron margaritas! HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! They actually don't have an exact recipe for the drink so they wing it. It was BEYOND sour! Like we couldn't swallow our drinks. We told the staff and they were glad to remake them for us, but it came out the same way. I just received a refund. Talk about a let down.... The food was just ok. Does not stand up to other Chipotles. As a matter of fact, it doesn't even compare. To start, I ordered a vegetarian burrito. The guy asked if I wanted black or pinto beans. Their pinto beans have bacon. Uh, hello? Luckily I was aware of this. I went with the black beans. They were the last 4 beans in the pan. Without an offer to wait for more to come out, my burrito was pushed to the next section where an exorbitant amount of guacamole was piled on. When I finally bit into the burrito, the tortilla was stale, and my burrito was pretty much just quacamole and rice. Most mediocre burrito I have ever had at Chipotle, if you ask me. The place was also filthy. Food was on many of the counters and the crew making the food was understaffed (and obviously under-trained). i have always loved chipotle, especially after a long day of sporting activities. Chipotle is always amazing for my friends and i. i've been to this chipotle twice, and both times the restaurant was dirty af. My friend even had to walk next door and get a fucking sandwich. It is unfortunate, but this location is the dirtiest and most disgusting location I have visited. I have been a chipotle fan and waited their opening since I moved to the east from the west 10 years ago. At first I thought it was growing pains as they were just opening, but the more I go, the more I realize it's not. Bad management. On my last visit there was actually employees wearing headphones and touching their ears with food safety gloves, then touching food without changing gloves. Disgusting. The service is inconsistent, the product and quality are inconsistent. I feel bad for some of the employees as some of them are working hard, are really nice and want to do a good job, while others stand around and look pissed they need to work. There always seem to be 8-10 people behind the counter with only 3-4 actually working. I hope they can turn this location around! Where is the District Manager?? Worst experience at a chipotle. Place an online order that wasn't really for an hour after the promised time. Closing manager was extremely rude. Walked away saying he was done with complaints and let a teenage kid who had far better customer service skills than the manager. Corporate needs to change their online ordering policy. I don't recommend this chipotle. My steak was super salty, and super chewy. The whole meal was generally very salty and all I got was the salad bowl with lettuce, steak, cheese, veggies, and the green salsa. If you want to go to chipotle, drive to the one in Wallingford, it's worth the extra 15 min drive. The only plus to this place is they are super fast. read more

Honestly ridiculous online ordered and got a completely wrong bowl. Couldn't even eat it was most likely someone else's order! My friends and I online ordered and two out of the three were not even made or being made when we got there and they were completely empty. Called when I got home and realized it wasn't my bowl and they said I could go back (in freezing rain ) for them to remake it and when I said the roads were getting bad they said that was all they could offer. The bowl was inedible since it had their hottest salsa all over it could not even eat a part of it. They have a delivery service and could have at least offered that. We stopped at this place 2 times - once going north and then a few days while our trip came south. We experienced the same thing both trips, the good and the not so good. Food was very consistent as other Chipoltes except the chips were very stale both times - very under cooked and then stale on top of that. The other concern was the drink machine didnt have any ice either day and the help really didnt seem to care to much about the place, the customers or even giving polite service. Inconsiderate staff. I ordered online, only to have to wait 15 mins after my pick-up time. Then they said they would make it after they got to other orders making me wait longer. They then gave me my order and didn't even apologize for the wait or say "you're welcome" when I thanked them. Food is inconsistent. Sometimes it will be well seasoned. I like how you go in there, tell them what you want, you can tell what the ingredients are, go down the line, and pay. It's basically an Americanized version of a Mexican Subway. I like the simplicity. My only criticism is that they would be much better if they say, gather all of your ingredients in paper bowls and then mixed them before putting them on the pita otherwise you get a burrito with all of the toppings (cheese, salsa, etc.) on one side and then meat on the other. You taste the layers as you eat, if they mixed up the ingredients it would make a better burrito. read more

My overall experience was horrible. I was greeted when I walked in and was told that they will be with me soon, he then continued to clean. After looking up several times, he finally took my order after two more people walked in. It seemed as if u was an inconvenience to him to be there and was rushed while ordering. He gave me white rice instead of brown and when I tried to correct it he ignored me. He tone was rude and aggravated and made me feel unwelcome. Food: other than the rice being under cooked the food was OK. There were people doing paperwork on prep tables and the racial and profane language was off putting. Was I offended?
