The hard rolls contain poppy seeds so you have to explicitly ask for a Portuguese roll. Simple fix, the staff is always nice and my food is always ready when I go to pickup. Recently checked out Ray and Mikes for a quick sandwich. It's located in a small plaza, has parking. It's a store setup on the left and the deli on the right. I got 2 of the Steak and Cheese sandwiches, very reasonably priced and good size grinder. The bread was fresh, meat was tender and juicy with a mix of onions and peppers. My only complaint was I feel it could've used a little more cheese to make it more savory and take it up a notch. Nonetheless, it's a fine cheesesteak and one I would recommend trying. read more

Many of them come in three sizes -roll, sub, or giant. We went with a simple Ham and Provolone on a roll with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions for a rock bottom $6.99. The sandwich was EXCELLENT!! Sandwiches come in three sizes on a roll, sub, or a giant which is like a sub and a half. I got a steak and cheese sub with lettuce and tomato, and a steak and cheese with onions and mushrooms on a hard roll. All sandwiches were packed with meat but found the sub roll to be soggy. Was the best for years and years. They switched some ways a few months ago like hot pepper spread instead of hot peppers and cut up shreds of chicken cutlet, almost like chicken fingers instead of once glamorous chicken cutlet for their chicken Parm grinder and it just not as good. read more

The cluckin russian continues to be my favorite thing on the menu and no deli anywhere has been able to recreate it. The staff was very nice. The prices were the same as most delis. The cheese was terrible almost like kraft singles. The bread was not great. The steak was very fatty and hard to chew. Well I gave this highly recommended spot a try and I truly wasn't disappointed. Went around 1230pm on a Tuesday afternoon and this place was hopping !! But they seek to have a pretty good system of taking orders, stay the back and what to me called for your well wrapped yumminess. Staff are very friendly and seem like that have a very good system of getting you in and out. Placed my order stood to the side had a brief conversation with someone else waiting for their order. When I got my sub sandwich I noticed it had some weight to it. When I finally got to unwrap it I noticed the softness of the bread and the lovely melted cheese on the massive amount of steak that was in my sandwich. They definitely give you your money's worth. My sandwich was meaty, hearty and worth it. So if you haven't heard and just going off my review....go for it and try this place. The menu was pretty lengthy so they do have alot to choose from. Though there is very little seating, we got our food, and then sat outside to eat. I really do like steak and cheese, and this was not among the best I have had. It wasn't bad, it's just that my standard is incredibly high. It had a great amount of meat, but just lacked the overwhelming flavor that defines a good cheesesteak. On 5-25-23 I completed an event that was just down the road from Ray and Mike's. I am always on the look out for new locations to try in areas especially in the state I live. As I pulled into their location I thought from the outside it was just a small convenience store with a small sandwich shop in the back. My expectations were medium to say the best on how good this place would be. As I entered I was right for the most part but off to the right of the door was what best described is a small deli heaven. They have about 5 behind the counter making the food and sandwiches. Week let me tell you that they just don't do sandwiches but the do even Philly Steaks as well and other hot off the grill delights that just smelling makes you go just one of everything, and this is even before you try any food. The person that waited on me was extremely pleasant and made me feel that my business would make or break them. He was prompt and it was a great experience to have with all the issues from the past 3 years and some places just have an attitude. WELL THIS PLACE AND THEIR STAFF ARE HAPPY YOU CAME IN! Oh I forgot they have table outside to eat on and yesterday was a nice day to take advantage of that. (But I was not able to). Now for what all have been waiting for was my grinder good? It was fantastic. I hade the roast beef with provolone cheese L&T and mayo. By the way they have a few different mayos for you to choose from. The bear was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. I'm glad I did not put any flavored mayo on for the flavor of the beef would have been diminished. All and all this place is a got to go for great grinders.
