Came to this chipotle for dinner today (09FEB). The food was good. The unhappiness bleeds from the workers. Most of the staff was very rude and unfriendly. Rolling their eyes when people would check in for there pick up orders. The only worker who was respectful and amazing was the taller male with the curly hair. This location has the worst staff out of all Chipotles. Every time I've gone to this location ... they act like they hate their job and this was my final visit to this location. I'm literally writing this in the parking lot because I couldn't even wait to write this review at home if it saves one person from going to this location. It's worth driving an extra 4 miles to the El Cajon chipotle. The girl that is ringing people up should be fired. It's October 5th ... 6:05 pm. The manager needs to look at the schedule and fire the young girl at the register. But also, the manager should be fired haha. I said "excuse me, where do I get my to-go order?" And she looked at me, rolled her eyes... and told me to ask "her". And she pointed to the young girl that should be fired. By the way - she was talking and flirting with the other staff while I was standing there for 10 minutes. She finally helped me when the "manager" (lol it makes me laugh to even type that) told her to help me. This place is a joke. Living in SD, it can seem like there's a taco shop on every corner- each with their own way of preparing their tasty foods. Unfortunately, there seems to be a rarity of the use of salt & pepper in making their food- especially Carne Asada- in nearly all of La Mesa. That's where it's nice to have a corporate staple like Chipotle. They at least season their food a number of different ways to make each bite flavorful. -1 Star for the inconsistent sizes though. I've always liked Chipotle since I first tried them. I'm not big on the burritos because they are too big and messy so I get the bowl with the pork carnitas and it has always been really good. It's so big that I usually eat half or a little more and save the rest for the next day. I absolutely love their rice with that lime undertone to it and have sometimes in the past gone at 9:45pm right before they close when they will sell me a big bowl of the rice by itself for a couple of dollars because anything they don't sell they have to throw out--a terrible waste of food when there are people going hungry. I also like the chunky tomato salsa, and their chips are one of my favorites due to the lime salt or whatever it is that makes them taste so good. I just wish they would give you more in a serving than that dinky little bag with it's tiny little container of salsa.. I wish you could buy the seasoning they use to flavor their rice and chips as a separate item, like buying Claim Jumper's BBQ sauce. Then I could use it at home. I know they are getting a lot of bad rap lately but I think they will recover and I plan on eating there again sometime. If you want to put me in front of a firing squad for that, have at it. Last night I came here with my wife 30 minutes before they closed, horrible costumer service from the blonde young lady with curly/wavy hair. I couldn't get her name but based on the description the owner should have a chat with her. We only asked for two kids meals easy order but the lady acted like we were making her work very very hard, her expression in her face made us feel very unwelcome and she let someone else cut in front of us. Definitely not coming back, as a small business owner myself I try to give my costumers the best treatment especially when task is so simple. I've been here a few times over the years, mostly out of desperation to break my kid's fascination with the McDonald's across the way. The other day we stopped by to trade happy meal toys over at the evil entity first and then walked back over. As we neared the door, I remembered why I don't frequent this location too often. There is a really foul stench just outside the entrance. It's a welcome relief to get inside and inhale some food aromas. Chipotle has been touting their Non-GMO menu of late. I appreciate their dedication. I just wish a kid's quesadilla wasn't smaller than the size of my kid's hand; he always leaves here hungry. I don't have a problem with the portions of meat like other reviewers have mentioned. I could be getting lucky though, who knows. Service is usually good. Why so stingy? This place does not give you what you pay for!

Good evening. I drove from lemon grove to this food site at 9:30 - 9:45 at night and the two female staff members were cleaning preparing to close the restaurant. I walked inside and asked if there was still time for me to place my order and was told "yes", so I proceeded to ask for a bowl. The female that was whipping down the counter, began to make my order and I noticed she still had the wet gloves on that she was cleaning the counter with. So, I kinda paused to give her a chance to notice what she was doing.... her hand was in the bowl inside of my chicken and rice... she asked "what else would you like" I said, "weren't you cleaning the the counter with those wet gloves and she said "yes" So, I paused again.. to allow her to think. She said "what else would you like" and I said your your wet gloves are in my rice and chicken, and she looked down and said "oh" I said I would like another bowl and she said "well we do not have any more brown rice if you want another bowl" That whole scenario was b.s.... Reading what I wrote you can make your own judgement. I will not be eating at this site restaurant again and will be informing my family and friends as well to stay away. read more

I am not one to write a review, but this Chipotle experience is one worth sharing to save you $40 of trashy food. For starters, those working were starting their process to close (not restocking and putting foods away) when there was still 1.5 hours left for them to be open. There was also no corn, which is a problem in itself! Eating the food was even worse. There was NO flavor, the rice was in one solid piece, and the chips were stale. Very awkward experience. There was a weird vibe between the staff. Some of them were throwing the dishes around. There was most definitely tension. Please teach workers how to wrap a double tortilla burrito. The tortillas should be laid slightly offset to create a longer burrito, it's not two tortillas stacked on top of each other. I add a lot of extras to my burrito and double tortillas are necessary to wrap it and prevent bursting. The manager at this chipotle is absolutely ridiculous. I got a quesadilla with triple chicken and got charged $17 as a quesarito (supposed to be charged as a burrito with triple chicken). I had less stuff on it than a burrito, but the insincere manager didn't care and forced me to pay such an insane price. Her reasoning was "we had to melt the cheese". I had to call 4 times in order to speak with a worker, than had to explain the issue again to the manager Linda, who rudely pretended the call was cutting off when addressing the issue. This is the worst Chipotle I've ever been to. About a awewk or so ago, went in and they were out cheese and chicken. Today, they told the person in front of me they were out chicken foe right now!
