Clearly, the review posted five months ago is no longer true b/c the world has changed since then. For years my husband and I have frequently come to this restaurant. Sadly, my husband tonight went to get Marina's Mother's Day vegetarian burrito bowls from Chipotle's which we love. I warned my husband - if they give you LESS, tell them to give you more, expecting they have cut down on portion sizes. Sure enough, he was given a WAY smaller rice portion. He asked for more. He was given more, BUT to equal LESS than we used to receive! Same with the beans. He asked for more and we got less than usual. They went chintzy on the cheese and guac tho He insisted for more! The Kicker was they were OUT of sour cream so INSTEAD said would we like chili lime sauce instead? He said ok. Come to find out at home, ALL ingredients were downright chintzy AND they charged us 10 cents MORE for the damned chili lime sauce which was supposedly a SUBSTITUTION for the sour cream! Plus the guac or chili lime sauce was SO salty it over salted the ENTIRE meal. I could only stomach HALF of it due to the salt. Nope! From the beginning till we left it was not anywhere near acceptable. Dirty when we walked in, no clean tables, the floors were littered with trash and the service station was thrown together. The boy who took are orders was in such a hurry, with no one behind us he threw our food together with no eye contact and no self control. We ordered six CRUNCHY tacos. He scooped up the whole beans he didn't drain the liquid. Taco soup! Who trained him? Who's in charge? Where is the manager? Who owns this Chipotle? All should be embarrassed or at least ashamed. The overall level of customer service here is lacking, they are always rude, yesterday I placed an order for a side of rice and tortilla for my daughter because that's all she will eat, they gave me a container of rice filled & the tortilla. Today I order the same exact thing (literally pressed re order) and this is what I was given. I went back in to ask what the issue is &the girl with the neon pink blush told me that's the serving size for rice. I said really yesterday it was full. This is not the first time I've encountered issues at this location. If you're traveling, keep driving to the Sand City chipotle, it's always clean & the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They take card only and do not accept cash at all. They forgot to inform me at the beginning of my transaction. I found out when I went to pay. Unfortunately all I had was Cash. I told them if there was a sign on the door or around the property to make me aware of the situation I would not try to purchase anything. They all looked at me like there couldn't do anything. And the customer before me paid for my meal. Upon hearing the issue. I think them and try to give them my money. But they refused it and said it's not a good courtesy to help out. The main issue is that there was no warning or post anywhere on the property to let you be aware of that they're not accepting cash. Let's be honest. We've all been to chipotle. Fully customizable burritos, tacos, and bowls, assembled to order. It's good, fairly priced compared to other "real" taqueria's, and it's quick. I ordered online and my food was ready less than 15 minutes later. 5 minutes after promised but not a big deal. This location was clean, had plenty of seating, and a good amount of parking outside. The online app makes ordering SO much easier than in store so I recommend going that route if you can. read more

Wow, I am remembering why I am NOT a fan of chipotle. This is no reflection on my grub hub driver who was fantastic. But whoever made my steak quesadilla. Horrible. Obviously made with no pride or care whatsoever. As if they thought it was a grub hub order so...who cares. In a Saturday moment of laziness I ordered a craving. ‍ not again. For the price. Hell no. Extremely dirty seating area. The guy who helped us and build our order was not rude, but he also didn't say a single word to us. They were also out of white rice and it was only 8pm... also a message to corporate, they are extremely short staffed. Update: came here again and the seating area is even dirtier than it was before. They were out of mild salsa, fajitas, guacamole, and brown rice. My boyfriend asked for extra steak on his bowl which he was gonna pay for of course and the guy gave him two extra pieces. Literally two extra pieces. The ice machine was broken with no sign. This chipotle is by far the dirtiest restaurant I've ever stepped foot in. I had to clean my own table and the restaurant itself was neglected. I still love chipotle, but this particular one does not follow cleanliness guidelines. read more

The only reason Im giving this place one star is because that is as low as it goes. The quality of service in this place is whats wrong with the American workforce. I went to this Chipotle...Marina CA after the gym on a Saturday at approximately 11 am. There was 1 customer in line, there appeared to be 1 crew member helping customers with their order and as I looked around there were 2 crew members in the kitchen area on their phones another crew member walked out of the service line and sat with a friend/customer. At that time I noticed that there was another crew member already in the dining area on his phone. So out of 5 crew members hired to provide service to hungry customers, 1 was working 2 were on their phones(in the service/kitchen area no gloves handling dirty phones and then handling food) and two were chatting with friends...not discreetly in the corner...but in the middle of the dining room while myself and another customer waited to be helped...I walked out and was so pissed that not only will I never go to that Chipotle...I will never eat Chipotle again...this is 1 problem America, problem number 2? We have accepted this service for so long its the norm, stop accepting shitty service. read more

Not the best Chipotle by a long shot. We were the only customers there. The line was really dirty and I got the absolute bottom of the barrel on everything. I commented that to the server and he laughed and said yeah. As we got our food more people came and they brought out fresh food. I think this Chipotle has a management issue. There are just too many inconsistent practices going on that add up to an overall bad experience. I know this location has been in need of employees, but that does not mean they should skimp on training. People who work here do not know how to roll burritos. They just flip a tortilla over and throw the content inside everywhere. If something that basic isn't being taught or corrected, then something is wrong. I'm sure these poor employees are just rushed through the training process to get people on the floor. That's probably the next problem. Employees always seem burned out. They have lack luster customer service, and all seem asleep. I'd love to blame lazy college students, but I know I'd feel the same if I was constantly called in on my day off. Of course I have no way of knowing. Maybe I'm making excuses for them. But something is wrong. Finally, they seem to have corrected another problem mentioned in these reviews. They always pile burritos too high. I don't ask for anything extra, my order is relatively light, but they always seem to figure out a way too add too much and make my burrito burst. Sometimes an employee will go light on the meat and rice, only to add WAY too much corn for some reason. Again, I think all of these issues can be tied to training. I don't know what they're going through. I'm sure it's hard to get quality employees in a small town. But standards have clearly been sacrificed. I hope it gets better, since this is a convenient location for me. But if I have to, I'll just pick up Chipotle in Salinas on my way home from work since they have none of these issues despite being a much less desirable place to be than Marina. read more

The workers give out about half a scoop of each item, making your order half of the size it should be. You will come in at 6:30 and they tell you they are out of rice and select meats, 3.5 hours before closing in the middle of a dinner rush...I ordered a taco on the mobile app today and ordered a few of my toppings on the side. Each cup was filled with about 1 tsp of food, pathetic. As a college student, I rarely treat myself to eating out and I look forward to getting food from chipotle.
