I live close by and my kids love Chipotle. Associate Chelsie Jones is extremely rude and has an attitude if questioned on how she is preparing your order. Do not go here. Today a man in street clothes walked in with no mask and went back to where the food was being prepped. Then on his way out he grabbed a cup from the employee, got a drink and left. When I called the manager to voice my concerns about the man not wearing his mask he told me I should not be at a restaurant anyways because it is COVID. Then he told me the man who was not in uniform had forgotten something in his locker so that is why he was there. I told him that does not exempt him from the Monterey County mask order. He told me that employees do not have to wear a mask all the time when they are inside. I told him that is not the case and I can let the health inspector know. I asked him for his name, he told me he could not tell me. I go to this location 2-3/ week but I do not trust this location anymore and I will take my business elsewhere. If management can't follow a simple order or have lack of understanding, I can only imagine how food is being handled. read more

This store is better than some chipotles I have been to before, people don't understand or respect that the employees are working hard and trying to give customers a proper service. We dined here for lunch today. The food was unremarkable. The chips were stale as were the corn tortillas for my tacos. The barbacoa didn't have a lot of flavor. The most disappointing part is we wanted to contribute to the state parks fundraiser. However I forgot to mention it at the register. When my husband mentioned it, the cashier made no offer to void and re-ring the meals so we could donate. It seems that would have been an easy solution. We chose to eat here specifically for that reason. This won't be our choice next time. The customer service isn't great. read more

I LOOOVE Chipotle, but this location is bad. I have been disappointed every time I go. Under-cooked rice, cold meat, burritos barely wrapped that spill their contents immediately. Their chorizo is bad...tastes funny. Any other location it tastes amazing. And their guacamole has huge chunks of avocado as if they don't take the time to make it correctly. Tastes fine, but I've never seen that at any other chipotle location. More evidence of laziness in the kitchen - huge chunks of chorizo instead of chopped up like at every other chipotle i've been to. They SERIOUSLY need to retrain their employees and learn from ANY other chipotle. I will make the extra drive to Seaside from now own when I want chipotle. read more

I heard this Chipotle was not very good so this was my first time ordering from here. It was awful. I used the phone app to order which was really easy. My order was ready when I went to get it but when I checked the order, they didn't include the salsa I ordered so I had to go back and get it. When I opened the tin foil for my crispy tacos they were soggy and fell apart (see attached photo I'm not kidding impossible to eat). Don't eat here, read the other reviews and don't waste your time like I did. There is way better Mexican food in Marina. This is by far the worst takeout experience I have ever had. read more

The worst Chipotle I've ever been to by a mile. I've been here at least 20 times and it never fails to disappoint. Came today at 6pm and they said that they weren't going to have anymore fajita veggies tonight. Not because they didn't have them, but just cause they haven't bothered to prep them yet. Decided to try this location since it was convenient since its next to CSUMB, but it was an unsatisfying experience. Try any other location. My bowl had very little chicken. It consisted of mainly veggies and it was not packed like other locations. They're very skimpy with their ingredients. My friend's burrito seemed like it was on a diet. No joke. I was so excited when I saw Chipotle was coming to Marina. I have been disappointed every time I go. Every.Single.Time. Very mediocre service and they run out of ingredients constantly (guacamole,rice,etc). I only go here because of the location. The mobile order is a joke here. It's never ready when I come to pick up and there is a serious 20-30 minute gap from when I order. The staff also cranks their own hardcore music behind the counter which clashes with the loud music in the lobby and ruins the ambience of the place. Chipotle is one of my favorite food places to go and I've been to many locations in Southern California. I was excited to see one opening next to CSUMB, but let me tell you, the quality is dissatisfying. I got a half chicken/half steak burrito bowl with everything except sour cream, but the meat was dry, the fajitas were oily, the lettuce was not finely cut, and the guacamole was not up to par. Really not bad, but yeah, not the best chipotle in the world. Some of the people who work here are unpleasant, but some are great. Generally a pretty clean location and they're pretty efficient. Sometimes they're out of stuff that every chipotle should have and they seem to stop putting some things out when it's getting close to closing, so they won't have things like fajita veggies or sofritas sometimes which can be disappointing. Lunch time stop, because Chipotle is a great option! As I am ordering my bowl, declining any meat choice, but requesting grilled veggies, I'm met with the response of "oh, we don't have any". I asked how long it might be before they would be ready, and again, the reply "I don't know, we dont have any....do you still want this bowl or not?" Well....with THAT kind of response, my answer is NO....I don't, thanks!! It would have only taken a second to actually communicate with the cooks to find out the turn around time for veggies, instead of just looking at the empty bin and saying "we don't have any!" This is not the first time that I have been unimpressed with this location, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, because it was a relatively new place at that time. Customer service flat out sucks. If I'm paying for my food then don't give me the bare minimum. It's a salad....... I want more than 5 pieces of lettuce. I asked the girl, "can I please have more lettuce." She gave me barely anything more. I don't have time to stand there asking for more lettuce each time she fucks up so I chose to just take my food and write a review. Wish she was wearing a name tag so her boss could see this. My partner and I came in for dinner, I got a bowl of chicken which was delicious, he ordered the burrito steak. The young lady that helped us had a nasty attitude I've worked in customer service for over 6 years now and I'm pretty familiar with good and bad customer service. We were never greeted by anybody. The young lady wrapped up my fiancé's burrito a hot mess. When I seen it I couldn't believe it... and she still had the nerve to serve it like that (picture a crunchy taco) that's how it was wrapped all the ingredients was falling off one side. I got up and asked to get it re wrapped and a gentleman was nice enough to offer to make us a new one (which is why I added 3 stars instead of 1 for this review...any-who the same girl asked my fiancé "what was wrong with it?" I have been to this location three times now and will not return. Staff is friendly although the very tall dark haired supervisor kept having spit fly out of his mouth which hit me multiple times as he carried on a friendly conversation with me. The food tasted fine each time BUT they sure do give ALOT LESS than the Sand City and Monterey locations. I have overheard others comment on this fact also. THAT is why I will be going to Teriyaki Madness, Blaze or SmashBurger in the future, when out shopping in that retail complex. read more

First visit here and I'm pleasantly surprised. Even though this isn't authentic Mexican food it is fresh and tasty. I had a salad with rice, beans, chicken and salsa which was good. I also tried there chips which were delicious. The price is a little high for $15.00 for quick lunch but it was enjoyable. There located in shopping center with ample parking. Every time I go to this chipotle everyone has an attitude problem. I work in marina so I stop through here on my way to work and everyone is always rude. Today the cashier was giving the man in front of me dirty looks like he was stupid. And another customer was ordering a burrito bowl and the man behind the counter asked him three times if he only wanted one bowl even though the customer kept saying one bowl. He was one person who was obviously on their lunch why would he want more than one. I worked at Starbucks for 6 years I know people can be incredibly stupid but I have yet to see a customer who deserved the treatment that I or other customers are getting at this location. I always say thank you and no one gives a poop about it. I let it slide that everyone here obviously hates their job but today I got the worst burrito bowl of my life. It's not like I can leave work to get some other lunch. Not only have I wasted $10 but I guess I'll wait until I get home in 6 hours to eat. I'm assuming everyone here is a college student and they're stressed but that doesn't mean they need to treat their customers so rudely. read more

This chipotle sucks! There is a reason that there average rating is just 1 1/2 stars! I am a former chipotle worker. I quit working for chipotle only 2 weeks ago so my knowledge is not outdated! There white rice does not have enough flavoring and there portion sizes are not correct! The chips were super soggy as well and had too much salt and not enough lime juice. The chips are supposed to have a nice crunch to them but these did not! And I asked for 2 bags of chips and the guy gave me one bag and said there's 2 bags worth in one bag! I looked in the bag and it looks like the portioning for ONE bag! The line production people were pretty friendly but the cashier was so rude.I had several items and I was eating for HERE. He did not put my baskets on a tray for me so it would be easier to take to my table. It is common chipotle procedure to put items that are for here on a tray. AND to make it worse I had to juggle my 2 year old as well. Cashier did not ask a simple how are you? Barely spoke to me other than to tell me my total. After all this I sat down to eat and noticed the dining room was pretty messy. Cashier came out to check the dining room and all he did was wipe the tables. He left the floor unswept and did not fix the drink station even tho there was straw wrappers and drink lids all over the station. The trash was overflowing and there was a lot of baskets and trays stacked up on the garbage. They need to work on there overall cleanliness,customer service, and food procedures. I've consistently been receiving sub-par service at this chipotle for a solid 2 months. However (and I am aware of its newness) it seems every time I go, the service is extremely mediocre. The manner in which the bowls were covered and then placed in the bag were extremely poor, and eventually caused major sauce leaking that was reminiscent of a faucet. Not sure why this location has such a low rating, I had a fantastic meal last week while I was in town. Salad to go with brown rice, black beans, veggies, double chicken and guac. Never had to write a bad review for a Chipotle ever but I've had enough! Sloppy burritos and even tried to put the food that fell on the counter back into my burrito?! Chicken portions were way too small and steak was dry. I hope management steps it up soon here.
