My normal complaint is that it was always dirty but today it was pretty clean. Today though after I had my food and was ordering a drink, I was told that the soda machine is out of order. That would have been nice to know earlier, or maybe put a sign on it. Also the men's bathroom has been out of order the last two times I've been here. Why?? It has a number lock on it and I have a hunch they are using one as an employee bathroom and making customers use the other. Anyone ordering from this location of chipotle should be very wary of what they get when you get home, this has happened repeatedly to me - I did get refunds from chipotle but had to go without the meal. This location is run so poorly that they never have the order ready on time and it's wrong 4 out 5 times. If I could give it zero stars I would. I just wanted to let you know how disgusting your Franklin St. Michigan City Indiana Chipotle was. They had a line to the door so we ordered on my app. Order in at 6:55 estimated time done 7:10. This Chipotle---NEVER AGAIN. The trash was piled on top of all of the garbage cans two feet and higher inside the restaurant and out, your pick up rack was just outside the bathroom doors, and for the first ten minutes that I stood there, no one even acknowledged me. My food was not done, not even a thought. I watched 29 plus people get their food before me. There were also two others waiting for pick ups that weren't ready either that were supposed to be done at 7:10. When I finally got my food I took a picture of your app. I received my food at 7:28. I also did not receive a receipt, I received guacamole that tastes somewhat spoiled, and I am not impressed with the food. The saddest thing was that my 15 year old grandson paid $37 to take His grandma ( me ) to dinner for sub par service and food. Will never come back and I visit once a month here. Been going here about once every other month for a year or two and I'm just done going here. The wait for a mobile app order is always 20-30 minutes, even when there is no one else in the store. Typically have to go up to the counter and ask where my order is a half hour later to get them to start making it. Finally just went inside to order to circumvent the additional wait. They didn't have any chicken because the guy in front of me ordered 10 tacos with chicken and they only had enough to make him 3, said it would be 30 minutes for chicken... why? So I said fine, ordered steak. Asked for brown rice, they put white rice. Asked if I wanted queso, I said no, they put it on anyway. I asked them to start over and they refused saying I would need to pay for both burritos if I wanted another. I was starving, the only reason I go there, so I said fine, whatever I'll try the queso. They up-charged me for things I didn't want, and at this point I'm already done with this place. So I finally get home and try the burrito and it was literally inedible. They put so much cilantro in the queso myself and my wife both spit it out and threw away the rest. The rice was nearly completely green. I thought it was lettuce when they made it, but it was actually chopped cilantro they put on. I reached out to them through their website and they said they'd give me a free burrito (which I wouldn't use anyway), but as expected, the credit on my app account never even showed up. We walk in and there's no chicken. Bad enough on it's own, but worse when we have to wait 5 minutes after the 10 minute line for chicken that shouldn't ever run out. Food was okay, relatively small portions though. The tables had rice and salsa on them, and they weren't cleaned in the 20 minutes we were there. Last but certainly not least, they scanned my chiptopia card but it didn't go through. So, we went back in and they said we have to email chipotle because for some reason they can't just rescan it. Worst customer service experience I've ever had! Stopped in a whole hour before closing to pick 3 chicken bowls for dinner after working a 14 hour day just to be disrespected and ignored. We are new to the area and will NEVER spend our money here again. No one greeted us for at least 5 minutes even though ALL the employees were within eye sight. The girl that finally came over to serve us was nice enough but every one else just seemed like my husband and I were inconveniencing them. If I treated my customers this way I wouldn't have any.
