Dirty martini and branzino for a hump day win. Chef's kiss good! The bartender is a doll.

Finally! A great restaurant in Michigan City! The martinis were so delicious. My husband loved his swordfish and the bread pudding was a great way to end the meal. Shout out to Joe and Yvonne for being amazing hosts/owners. Definitely try this place.

Sunday, June 22 it was 110° outside. I wasn't cooking. Restaurants were closing early throughout the area. Rocco's stayed open and though it was very hot inside, nothing they could've done about it, and the servers were melting, we were still given top-notch service With absolutely incredible food. This will be my go to steakhouse from here on out. Fantastic!

Kendra gave exceptional service and started our celebration with a limoncello! Great menu and excellent music. DJ's some weekends. Perfect location to eat inside or outside!

A gem - loved our steak, got a cozy seat in the window for 2, Service was great, given how crossed it was that night.

I was excited to try the "new" William Bs steak house. But, I have to say I will not be back. I was…read morean occasional diner at the old William Bs- I was anxiously and excitedly awaiting their new face- lift. However- I went into the bar- and two spots were opening up at the bar- I went to grab them and I was asked by the bartender to wait as there was a single woman sitting at the cocktail tables around the bar- for a spot at the bar. Of course, I said-no problem. I promptly sat at the same cocktail table near the bar (there were about 5 of these tables- ALL empty) The manager of the restaurant swiftly came over and told me those cocktail tables weren't to be used by anyone (keep in mind- I was literally at the same table the woman before me had been waiting at). I am not exactly sure what those 5 tables are for). I am a cash paying guest. I typically tip at 30+ percent and these were EMPTY tables. I wanted to see if and when a table in the restaurant would be available tonight but I was treated VERY disrespectfully and given NO consideration. What are those EMPTY cocktail tables around the bar? So, Im sorry I couldnt add photos- no drinks were to be had. I am making my way to Copper Rock for dinner at nearby Fourwinds Casino for dinner now. There I know I will be treated well. I dont think Ill be back to William Bs- i was treated badly enough. And I almost always give a place a second chance. But Patrick (long-standing manager) has been here long enough- he should know better. In the end- I am adding a photo- of the empty tables- at 8:30 pm on a SATURDAY NIGHT of their opening week. Unfortunately, I have to give them a star rating to put up the review. One star is GENEROUS.

In sports terms, this place has "lost its fastball"…read more According to our party, William B's used to be a lot better of an establishment. During our dinner, we experienced quite a bit of instances which lead me to believe that this place was below-average for a steakhouse, which contradicts what it used to be. Let me start by saying Carrie was awesome! She was quirky and fun. She was kind, gave great recommendations, and tried to make sure we had the best experience possible. The wedge salad was using cheap ingredients. Nothing tasted or was presented fresh. I was honestly disappointed with it. The French Onion Soup lacked flavor, and did not possess that "IT" factor that a good French Onion has. My wife ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was fine on the outside, but was clearly not cooked-through, where we found a rubbery inside. It was another lackluster dish. I ordered a Ribeye Filet, which was ordered to be medium-rare, which showed up more along the medium side. The drinks were drinkable, and the passionfruit ice was a nice touch, but when rating steakhouses, you have to rate them relative to each other. Compared to a McDonald's, this place is great, but As far as fine dining goes, this place had the most underwhelming cuisine I've ever been served. I'm sure it might have been an off-night, but I have to call it how I see it. Be better!

We stopped into Shoreline Brewery while visiting Michigan City because it was unbearably hot…read moreoutside and we needed somewhere to cool off before we could check into our hotel. We ordered the Elote Pizza, and overall it was really good. It had a nice wood-fired crust that was probably the highlight of the meal. The only downside was that it came with a garlic aioli that was very heavy...there was so much on the pizza that it overpowered some of the other flavors. I think it would have been even better with a lighter hand. For drinks, I had one of their sour beers and my husband ordered an IPA. Both were good, but neither really stood out as anything particularly memorable. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and took good care of us. The layout of the brewery was a little unexpected. We walked into the main entrance, then the host brought us back outside and over to a separate building where the bar is located. It was a little confusing at first, but it ended up being a neat setup. The restaurant was clean, with a spacious dining room and a nice-looking patio. The only thing that kept this from being a higher rating was the value. It felt a little expensive for what we ordered, and while everything was solid, nothing really wowed us. Overall, I'm glad we stopped in, especially as a place to escape the heat for a while. If you're in the area and looking for a casual meal and a local beer, it's worth checking out...I just wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to visit again.

Spoke to the manager who was very unapologetic and didn't seem to care about treating your customers well. Pretty much said that's their policy even if you happen to come just 5 mins before close. Food was average, their "award winning" lamb burger was not medium rare as stated on the menu. The only saving grace was our waitress who was very attentive and empathetic. Will not venture here again nor will recommend anyone to go here.
