All I can say is WOW! The ambiance is supper club like, very cool. Well made martinis but the food....! Fresh, delicious oysters, I had the pork chop, hubby had the stroganoff with housemade noodles. Both main dishes were exceptional! A side of delicious creamed spinach, yum! A couple of scoops of sorbet for dessert and we can honestly say - one of the best meals we ever had (especially the pork chop) Eddie was our server, ask for him. First time, Memorial weekend, service was fantastic, thanks Ken! The kitchen catered to my little girls and made them some off menu dinner. I had the Sunday Ribs, so good! My beautiful wife had steak Diane, also terrific because I had to help! My 4 year old ate an entire lobster tail! #spoiled Honestly some of the best oysters, Rockefeller, I've ever had. Sunday, June 22 it was 110° outside. I wasn't cooking. Restaurants were closing early throughout the area. Rocco's stayed open and though it was very hot inside, nothing they could've done about it, and the servers were melting, we were still given top-notch service With absolutely incredible food. It was good--crowded and noisy with a very attentive waiter who apologized profusely for slow appetizer (cold crab cake - negligible crab)- and promised Bread service on the house. Rolls and butter were delicious- and also on our bill (eight bucks- ugghh- such sloppy customer service- and yes- we paid without complaint). Cocktails were delicious (also very slow to arrive). Maybe if we didn't live in Chicago with so many better choices - we would be inclined to eventually return. read more

Loved the food. Really outstanding. Chicago steakhouse good. And the ambience and decor are on point. While the steak is Chicago good, it is also Chicago priced, so be forewarned. And there is a mystery 3% charge on the check. Biggest negative was that my family of four, including me (6'5) and my son (6'2) were seated at the smallest table I've ever been seated at in a restaurant in my life. Must have been 24 inches diameter at most. Absolutely nowhere to put your legs or the food. We eventually moved when a normal sized table freed up. The group next to us did as well. The tiny tables should be for two people max. But all in all, a great new addition to Michigan City. read more

We ate with a group of 7 last night and pretty much shared everything. Each dish was absolutely wonderful. Esp loved the ribeye, creamed spinach, and Mac and cheese. The halibut and the skirt steak cooked medium rare Pittsburg style was arguably the best of those I've ever had. The appetizers were phenomenal and the drinks were delicious as well. Would also recommend the Giardiniera mac and the crab cakes. The spicy Cesar salad is great for those who love a bit of spice. Don't book a resy on "open table" as we had to wait an hour to be seated. However, service beyond that was great! read more

Ate at this restaurant last night, the restaurants vibe was a confusing mix. The overall appearance shouted elegance but the underlying vibe shouted club. The tables had white tableclothes and the restaurant had a nice steakhouse vibe. The demographic I would say was 30‐80 years old. The music was too loud and I heard "Highway to Hell" and "Pump up the Jam" just two of the songs that played that confused me to some degree and the female bar staff looked like porn stars. The restaurant didn't seem to know the direction it wanted to go. The food was really good and the the overall appearance of the place was nice. The volume and type of music, and the barstaff ruined the experience. Also, it was too hot in the restaurant. This place needs to read the room, last night there were more people between 60-80 years old. The food/drinks were not cheap but there was definitely a cheap feel. read more

This experience was horrible, and that's putting it in a good light. We checked in and the host said we are flipping a table and you'll be sat next. Another hostess proceeded to sit us at a bar table a minute later. We asked what about the table the other host mentioned and she replied, we decided to give it to other guests. Service was slow, I'm guessing understaffed for the Sunday holiday which was expected. We ordered two red meat meals medium. Both came out well. We mentioned to the server the taste was good but overdone. She said she would let the kitchen know. Shortly after, the manager stopped and asked how things were and we expressed the same. He graciously said an after dinner drink or dessert were on him. Nice gesture for sure. After the meal we ordered the milkshake and a drink. After 20 minutes, we received the drink, but the milkshake was still being made...we asked for the check in the meantime thinking it would arrive momentarily. Paid the check...still no milkshake to be found. The server said she hopes we have a better rest of the night than we had at dinner. I know they are new, and we usually give places multiple shots after bad experiences(ie Farrinas), but this sealed the deal. One and done. read more

Really shocked. So incredibly rude. We just got home from our meal. We had a 6:30 reservation and at 7:45 we were told by our server that we couldn't order desert because we had stayed too long. She had initally asked us if we wanted desert and then came back saying we could only have our desert "to go." This is after the wrong steak was brought to a member of our party so we lost some time with their blunder. We were aware that there was a 2 hour minimum for our table but to come to us and take away our "desert privilege" after an hour and fifteen minutes and a mistake in the food on their part- is completely unacceptable. I asked to speak with the manager. When she first came to the table, she did not apologize but told us we were were welcome to stay and that the server must have misinterpretated her words to "flip" the table. She did not apologize until she came to the table a second time. The manger never offered us a desert or any kind of discount for the wrong steak or rude treatement. It ruined an otherwise decent meal, but with that kind of service, we have no plans to return. There are other good places to eat in the area where the server and the manager appreciate our business. There is also no mention of an add on 3 percent for using a credit card until you pay on the receipt. Overall super disappointing. read more
