Once upon a time Chipotle was unique. I have been to this location twice in the past month and now I know why I go elsewhere. Pros: those are long gone Cons: Overarching attention to online orders at the expense of waiting customers (it took me 20 minutes to get through the line recently on my 30 minute lunch... while self-styled, eco-friendly hipsters strolled in with their bags from previous orders and blocked the register). Food quality is mediocre. Lots of minor food safety violations (soiled gloves on register, cross-contamination, etc). Dining room is usually in need of a sweep and wipe-down. Location (like everything on SR63) is horrible to access. Outrageous prices for ever-worsening food. Chipotle is the equivalent of the Elephant graveyard for outdated hipsters in man-buns, (sweating) people in work-out gear, angry Social Justice Warriors looking for company, and lost souls that haven't discovered better burrito joints. Chipotle cannot reinvent itself, so forget the queso dip. read more

Just got out of work after working 12 hour shift and had a hunger for some Chipotle, got there around 6:45pm. 3 maybe 4 people in front of me by the time I got up to order 1 lady and her child came in behind me and got in line. I heard the server told the people in front of me they were out of white rice, I looked and they were close to being out of brown also, saw smaller portions of brown rice being served to make it last for maybe 2-3 more orders. The lady behind me and I noticed they had a whole pan of white rice behind them on another serving station. As I was ordering I asked for the white rice and I was told they were out. I said no you are not out you have a whole pan behind you and I will have that, he turns and asked I guess the manager? And she said that is for online orders and I told her I didn't care that you have white rice and I will have that rice! No we can't give you that rice it is for online orders! I said okay thanks and walked out and they won't see me there ever again! Not the first or second time I had bad service there but it is the last time I will go there! Customer Safety Alert: Make sure you check the high chairs before you put your child in it. When I put my 18 month old son in one of the chairs I noticed with was extremely rocky. On closer inspection, I noticed that all of the screws were loose or already out. I grabbed a second high chair and this seat was completely broken. My son would have fallen through like a trap door. I brought them both to the front and told the manager to throw them away because These chairs were a serious danger to my child and other children. There were three high chairs in the establishment. The third was being used by another family at the time. It looked like the sturdiest out of the lot but I also saw the child in that high rocking a little. By the time I had finished and had to walk past where they kept the high chairs. THEY HAD PUT ONE OF THE ORIGINAL HIGHCHAIRS THAT I TOLD THE MANAGER ABOUT BACK OUT!!!!!! This chipotle is by far the worst chipotle I have ever visited. Not only do they have terrible attitudes, you come to sit and enjoy your food and their dining room isn't even opened. They are out of half the items on the menu without any sign or notification before you order. Their customer service is terrible and is very apparent that no one would like to be there. Their portion sizing does not even equal the spoon they serve with. I got guacamole but received MAYBE half of what I should have received. Along with paying for the guacamole, I was charged for a tortilla shell to be inside a bowl. I love Chipotles food but had a very poor experience with the manager of this location. My wife ordered a soft taco with only veggies. When she asked for more beans the manager rolled his eyes and then whispered to the girl next to him to charge her extra. That taco without any meat is the same price as the chicken taco. I think that's a bit unfair. Part of my order included guacamole. It is a 4 ounce portion costing $2.50. My cup had large pieces of avocado skin and a very large chunk of it avocado that was so hard I couldn't cut it with a knife. I took the walk back to the counter showed it to the manager and his response was that it was just the inside of the avocado. I told him regardless of what it was, it was too hard to eat. He gave me another cup which was very good. When he handed it to me he didn't make eye contact and didn't say a thing to me. A simple sorry would've been enough. Of all the Chipotles I visit, the Monroe location is far and away the slowest service that I have ever encountered. There are Kings Island rides with faster moving lines. Sometimes, they have forgotten to cook the chicken, so there could be a 10-15 minute wait. I know it's not high end dining but.... WOW!!!!! After a long day on that Traders World grind me and the Squad rolled up looking to get sorted out with some of those good burrito bowls and needless to say Chipotle hooked us up with that good good! Getting sorted out with all my Oasis tapes and Alf toys gave me a large appetite and I needed a manly pile to cure that large appetite so I got myself straightened out with some brown rice and those good sofritas and shredded cheese and BLACK. We are big Chipotle fans. Rarely do we find a Chipotle that isn't up to snuff. Even when we do, it is never to the point of no return. This Chipotle location is the exception. It was bad start to finish. We entered at lunch time and it was understandably busy. That wasn't a problem. We are used to that and the line normally moves relatively quickly as it did here. The problems began with the cleanliness of the place. There was food all over the floor and tables. With so many employees in site, and being so busy, we couldn't understand why one of them wasn't wiping down the tables so that patrons could sit down and enjoy their meals on a clean table. Eventually an employee came out and wiped the tables down and promptly emptied the food from the tables all over the floor. Which of course, explains our first impression. When we got to the order counter the first server was friendly enough. However, when she added our rice and beans in the bowls it was done in a manner that resembled the distribution of prison cafeteria slop as you see in the movies. The next step was the meat. It was handled the same way but not before mixing up our bowls with the customer behind us. I could see the frustration and tension between the employees as they darted dirty looks at each other. We finally made it to the pay station where the apparent manager was standing there next to the cashier. The manager had recent exposed wounds on his right forearm that was quite unappetizing. The cashier rang us up for our two bowls plus a quesadilla that we didn't order. We explained the error and the cashier was clearly frustrated in trying to figure out how to credit my card as the manager stood by and watched. Finally I told her I would just take the quesadilla to end the issue. The manager's only comment was "I haven't tried the quesadillas either." To the food...The sautéed fajita veggies were flavorless and very soft. The carnitas was waterlogged and light on flavor. The rice was under cooked. Even the guacamole was off. Clearly this Chipotle is mismanaged in nearly all aspects and it's a shame. Chipotle corporate needs to intervene. Yes, it was that bad. read more

As others have said...AVOID THIS LOCATION! Rude employees, will argue with you in front of others if you even dare ask for extra rice when they barely gave a spoon full. I did not notice until close to the end how dirty everything was, since I only get 3 things. Also, if the manager is bothering to care about their reviews, please train your employees on good and respectful customer service. If they can't understand that concept, then they need to be let go. Based upon other reviews, I'm clearly not in the minority thinking this is probably one of the worst Chipotle. We moved to the area recently and have been here several times, so this isn't based upon my experience tonight. The food just doesn't taste as good as others I've been to, it's a filthy mess and the lack of customer service is embarrassing to the brand. Ordered through the online app tonight and my husband picked up my order. It was wrong. I eat the same thing every time, so when it has mild tomato salsa instead of hot salsa, it makes a BIG difference in the flavor profile. I called to have it corrected - no apology. I drove all the way back (at 9PM on a Sunday night) - no apology, no offer for anything to compensate me for my SECOND trip up there and they screwed up the order AGAIN! This was the LAST time I will ever go to this Chipotle and I doubt I'll be driving an extra 10 minutes to get to the next closest. To the managers - do you ever wonder why YOUR restaurant isn't as busy as the other ones in the area? Your Yelp reviews are telling you why. Chipotle - I'm putting you on notice - you are not the only burrito place in town. Hot Head, Moe's, Qdoba, etc, etc.. If you lose me as a customer, I can get a burrito anywhere. Way too much money for the quality of the food. I ordered barbacoa and was given two blobs of 'meat' that should have been shredded. Instead, I received hunks of fat and fascia. Like most people, I've been to several Chipotles and this is one of the not so greats. I will never understand why certain Chipotles are regularly running out of the same things, where others regardless of the amount of foot traffic, seem never to have the problem. Each time I've been here they've had a chicken issue, either they don't have any at the moment, or they've run out in front of me. Anyway, this one is particularly busy since the outlet mall is close. More often than not there is a long line and limited seating. The service is okay considering how busy they are, but most times I would choose something else if I'm in the area. read more
