Begrudgingly, I've frequented this Chipotle for since it opened in Newtown and I've had bad experiences on many of the visits. However, this will be the last time I come to this store. I ordered a catering order for a family party and I arrived to pick up the food to learn they hadn't even started my order. I got no apology and a number of excuses about how they only printed catering orders this morning (5 hours before I arrived). They claimed it would take another 30 minutes to cook/prepare my order. This proprietor obviously doesn't care one bit about customer service or a quality experience and relies on their proximity to the Newtown shopping district. I hope people stop rewarding this proprietor with their business until changes are made. Reviews on Google, Yelp, and other sites are universally bad! There are so many other great restaurants in Newtown. I would highly recommend that you go to another Chipotle store or another chain in Newtown! read more

I've had a few bad experiences in my life and unfortunately eating at this Chipotle is one of them. The only reason people come here is because it's the only one in Newtown. They only do online orders. Once we got there, we understood why. The staff weren't as efficient as the other Chipotle locations. They were literally taking their sweet time to complete the orders. And they missed our side guac too since they were doing the orders where the customers weren't looking, like a regular Chipotle. Every time I order from this Newtown Store, something is wrong. Today I got a side of sour cream instead of the side of queso I paid for and I was missing my side of green salsa. Also my side guacamole was brown as well as the guacamole on my bowl. Lastly, the chicken was a nice medium rare on several pieces and the rice was undercooked. The line is always a mess and disgusting. Since this location has been open I have never gotten a good meal. Even after a long talk with the owner things never have gotten better. I eat here all the time and the food is always fresh and delicious. The staff works super hard to keep up with the insane amount of customers they get daily. you would think that since this chipotle is in Newtown the quality of food would be better and that the building would be cleaner. that there drinks would not be empty but you'd be wrong. I ordered a burrito bowl a quesadilla and some chips with cheese for 40 dollars and it sucked. the chips were stale, the quesadilla was smushed into the box with all the fillings on the side, they didnt have any of their lemonades filled. it is a complete disappointment and justified my reasoning on why I never like chipotle to begin with. I hope they start replacing them with moes. not worth your money go to taco bell down the road. read more

I love good Chipotle, but this location is extremely disappointing. Avoid this location! The rice is extremely undercooked and crunchy. As I left with my burrito bowl I looked over at the people already eating theirs and their portions were twice as big as the portion I was given. I do not recommend this location and I will not be returning. My family and I will eat Chipotle at a different location. read more

I ordered on the app yesterday and when I got home I discovered that I was missing the cauliflower rice from my quesadilla meal and my chips and quest which was extra. I tried calling the restaurant but the number didn't work. Also when calling the corporate number they said they couldn't help me. I had to drive back to get help and they only took off the cost of meal meaning that I still paid for the chips that I never got. I work in a place where the customer experience is important and unfortunately they did not take that in account when setting up there customer service process. Will not go back read more

I have to agree with others who have stated corporate should step in here: orders on the app are perpetually wrong (and often terribly so) and the customer service if you order in person can be downright surly and inconvenienced by your existence. I placed an order in the app, closed my app and continued working. I checked the app to see where my order was because it was taking forever and my order was cancelled. Not a call or text to tell me that my order was cancelled. I was refunded my money but it will take 5-10 days to process. So I just paid $60 for the inconvenience of not having lunch and now have to wait for my money back. This is a disgrace, they should at least have the decency to call the customer and tell them they can't fulfill their order, or at least give me the option to come pick up my order if lack of delivery drivers is their problem, nope they just cancelled the order with no notification or explanation as to why it was cancelled. I went to Chipotle Newtown at 1:45pm to get food. The food counter was empty and about 5 food service people were around. I asked one of them what's happening. They said they were only taking online orders but it will only be ready by 4pm pick up. This method really turns me off. I will never go back to Chipotle Newtown again read more

OMG!!! The Newtown store must have an owner who thinks Newtown citizens will pay for anything. I'm writing this review after my second experience with take out delivery, due to covid-19. I paid for extra cheese but once again got less than expected for a regular portion. The lettuce on my tacos were a few strands and instead of hard shells for tocos I got soft shell. The fiesta veggies were raw (second time). I called the store and was informed that they ran out of hard shell tacos. Thankfully, the manager refunded my tacos. Sooooo disappointing because now I'm still gonna have to travel to another Chipotle to get my fix. Ugh! read more

If you want the worst experience at a chipotle this is your place! Ordered 3 tacos and two quesadillas online. When we got there, they said they forgot to preheat the oven which takes 30 minutes. So, we waited almost 30 minutes until the rudest manager walked in and had the staff just put the quesadilla in the press to warm it. We took the food because we needed to go back to work. When we got home we found the quesadillas not cooked properly and only one taco. I'm most upset with the way the manager brushed us off and then walked in the back saying that he just got there. We tried to get a refund but you have to call a number that nobody answers and then just disconnects. Ps salsa was spilled all inside the bag. read more

Newtown Chipotle has awful PR. I called to complain about the portions ( the two bowls were appetizer size for my two teen boys). The manager, Lillian Perez told me that the Newtown chipotle cut their portion sizes. Thanks Lilian, but my boys are athletes and need the calories! read more

Every time I've come here there has been an issue. Tonight I showed up at 8:55 to a locked door when the hours clearly say online & on the door they are open until 10pm. I was ignored by the staff there was at least 5 of them in there. Chipotle has gone majorly downhill the past couple years. Very sad I used to go weekly/multiple times a week. Any food establishment I've ever worked at we were reprimanded for closing early for no reason.
