    Pizza with the works. Terrible.
    Joe B.

Here is a slice of their works pizza. Horrible. I can't believe it. I assume someone just doesn't care. If this is typical, I will never order again.

Careful as you approach Sophia Bella on Street Road Southbound, as you will drive past their small parking lot curbcut before you know it, and be forced to drive around the block to get back to the entrance of this Italian kitchen in Bensalem, PA. Worse, you might decide to just drive on, and miss a straight up very good meal. There are a few small dining areas in the building in addition to a large back kitchen and prepping/cashier zone up front. Attractively utilitarian, all. Room to stand and wait for your order without feeling cramped, as I was doing as my two hot sandwiches were working. These were taken to go, so when I opened the brown bag at home, I found neatly packaged long torpedo sammies (Boardwalk Sweet Sausage, Pepper and Onion/Eggplant Parm) in separate recyclable styro containers. Naturally, the enclosed bread absorbed some condensation so they were no longer dry and a crunchy bite, but were still delicious. Quality Italian sausage complemented well with the sweet and savory sauteed veggies. Eggplant breaded lightly and pan fried in extra virgin before placed in the roll with mozza and tomato sauce on top, and baked in the pizza oven until all melted into a savory layered tasty ensemble. I bought two to share, and everyone was happy, even the next day when reheated. Service was friendly and casual, and prices reminiscent of pre-pandemic days. Pizza looked good, too, but will have to save comments until I return to sample a few.

    Paneer pizza

One of the worst restaurants in PA. My friends and I visited Sofia Bella's last weekend and had the worst experience. We ordered the paneer pizza and egg burji. The paneer pizza was tasteless. The sauce was bland. The paneer was cut into the smallest cubes ever and crust was thick. The egg burji was dry with no spices. Both these items are listed under the spicy menu but it was not spicy at all. Please do not go here and waste money.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the chickens are real or if I've been the victim of an elaborate prank. Fortunately, the food more than made up for my poultry disappointment. We ordered a couple different wing flavors, including the Honey Mustard and a blueberry-based sauce, and both were excellent. The wings themselves were massive, meaty, and cooked really well. The Honey Mustard had a nice balance of sweetness and tanginess with just enough mustard bite to keep it from feeling overly sweet. The blueberry flavor was surprisingly good too. It had a sweet-tart fruitiness that sounds unusual on paper but worked really well with the smoky, savory wings. Both sauces had plenty of flavor without completely overpowering the chicken. The atmosphere is classic neighborhood pub. Cozy, casual, and the kind of place where people seem comfortable settling in for the whole evening. Downstairs there's a bar and shuffleboard area that definitely attracts a younger crowd. It gets pretty lively and noisy, which adds to the fun if you're there with friends. My only real complaint is that parts of the place felt a little messy. The stairs leading downstairs were sticky, and parts of the basement floor were too. Nothing that ruined the experience, but it was noticeable. The staff, however, were fantastic. Fast, friendly, and personable. Even when things were busy, they kept everything moving and made us feel welcome. Overall, it's a fun spot with great wings, good energy, and a laid-back crowd. Still giving it four stars because I left without seeing a single chicken, and I feel mildly betrayed. But if you're looking for a place to hang out with friends and eat some seriously good wings, it's definitely worth the visit.

We ordered our wings with the sauce on the side. I think that's the way to go so the wings stay crispy. They have a lot of wing sauce options. We also ordered the Cheese Steak Egg Rolls and Cheese Balls as appetizers. Both were pretty good. There is a large parking lot and we even saw some chickens roaming around. The space is a good size with a large bar in the middle. Service was good. Probably wouldn't go out of our way to come back but if we were ever back in the area we would stop by.

And I generally agree to some extent with others. My first experience was great, the wings were crispy to my liking and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the Cajun & mango habanero and both had a good kick and taste. My side was the corn which was also good and spicy, if you don't like spice I wouldn't recommend the corn. My second experience was just okay, this time I changed the order and had lemon pepper (most popular flavor), and it seems like they forgot to add the lemon pepper because I did not taste the flavor as I tasted flavors in my previous orders, and it was also pretty pale. I like my wings crispy and flavorful, this order was not. They also made an error in our order and mistakenly gave us fries instead of the corn which they fixed and we also had the chance to try the fries, which I had no complaints about. The staff is okay, high school & college folks at a really busy establishment. In all, I do agree that the service and food can be a hit or miss but when they hit, it's a home run. I gave an average of my experiences so this place is a solid 3 stars.

We made an order for delivery, ordering the following: 2 orders of potato wedges, 15 medium wings, "chicken pickle Jawn" sandwich, a chicken sandwich with bbq sauce, a plain burger, mashed potatoes and gravy fries. We ollnly received one order of the wedges, no biggie. The wedges were bland, with zero flavor. The burger was just okay. The chicken sandwich was made up of three small pieces, but was overcooked, dry. The mashed potatoes were good and the gravy fries were okay. The bride said the pickle jawn sandwich decent. The wings were average. All in all, if you're looking for a quick bite, this place may be okay, but if you want a good bite, I'd suggest going elsewhere.

George's has some of the best fresh tenders I've ever had. Their tenders are huge, freshly made and full of flavor. The people over there are so nice and friendly whether you order for pickup or delivery and they've always been top notch If they've ever messed up an order. When you walk into George's, the ambiance is that of a cozy small business, signs on the wall, historic pics of Philadelphia, news articles (yknow they're good when the papers rave about them) and sit in booths for you to eat in if you so choose. Overall, 5 stars for George's and I will be spending plenty of takeout money here. I'm excited to try the whole menu!
