Apparently new owners and a tweaked menu since July 2025. Only one vague review which wasn't very helpful so we did not know what to expect and excited to try. Eight of us for Friday lunch in a pretty empty restaurant. Nice atmosphere with outside patio seating. Patio faces the patio of PJ Whelihan's which had a big lunch crowd. On to the food...most everyone ordered the tacos. Some choices were a hit (honey shrimp and salmon tacos) and some were not...pulled pork was too dry and a shrimp taco too spicy. I ordered the fiesta bowl with added salmon and cauliflower rice. Glad to have a healthy choice. I "think" it could have been good...however, I kept pulling un-edible stringy scalions out of my mouth which took away from my enjoyment and grossed me out. (I attached a picture). I also was not able to concentrate on our conversation bc I was focused on getting them all out of my bowl and my mouth...there were a lot! I showed it to our server who didn't seem to care. I tried to be helpful and suggested he show it to the chef since it was very disgusting and added nothing to the taste. I cannot imagine anyone wanting to eat those nasty scalions. On a good note, my salmon was good. I can see this being a popular place for a young customer...those who like Taco Bell. After re-reading my own review...I deducted a star. Sorry to the owners however I felt a manager or owner should have come around to our table. Such a shame...we truly wanted to love it. Oh and...good luck with parking!

The only thing that we were kind of upset about was that the pork was very dry and burnt. It was very hard to cut and certainly didn't go down easy. Salad was all fresh ingredients. The rice and beans were all fresh. The shrimps were fresh. However, the special dish that I had gotten was not fulfilling and I'm not sure we will be coming back. It kills me to write this because it's hard to find really good food in our area hence why my wife and I travel for great meals and memorable meals. It was just a long tired week of work. Wanted to go try something new unfortunately it was disappointing.

Mole sauce was one of the best I've ever had. However, although it's quality authentism.... I don't think it will WOW food snobs. (Myself included) you'll never be disappointed, but there are high end Mexican Restaurants in Philly and Princeton NJ that beat this, ( and I've been to them which takes my perception on Mexican food change) but this may run top 3. For take out its great, you won't make better at home.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is the latest to have its grand opening in the new complex across from McCaffrey's Supermarket. Luckily the parking lot was completed on time, too, so there is plenty of parking available for it now, and hopefully when the other five kitchens are open for business at the same time. Walking in, the room is smaller than anticipated, with several high communal tables for people to eat & run. It wasn't so busy when I was there around 3:30. The assembly line concept seemed efficient, but I was causing a slowdown by asking too many questions. I'm generally not a fan of this approach to dining, so I needed instruction on some of the basics. In the end, a carne asada burrito was delivered to me at the end of the line - stuffed with brown rice, pinto beans, carne asada, queso, avocado and a few other things. It was stuffed to the gills with sour cream on the side. I took it home somewhat concerned the whole thing would explode, it was packed so tight! It was a tasty package with so many things going on that it all blended together in my mouth. Definitely a four napkin meal. I enjoyed it, although I could only finish half. As two meals the $11 tag seemed quite reasonable. I can see what people like about Chipotle. It uses fresh ingredients, is basically healthy with a little self control, and you can fit it into a lunch hour. But, if authenticity in Mexican cuisine is paramount for you, this burrito was no where near as delicious as can be found in any good Casa Mexicana elsewhere in Bucks and Montgomery Counties, or across the river in Trenton. I wish them success in Newtown.
