Not sure why there are so many low reviews for this location. I stopped in 3 times last week and all 3 visits I had great food. My kid's were happy too. The staff was friendly and the food was fresh and tasted great like every other Chipotle I have ever been to. I've found this Chipotle to be quicker to get in and out of faster than Folsom. The parking stinks, but the food is great.

This Chipotle is the best Chipotle I have ever been to. Their food quality is of the highest standards with thee most friendliest staff. I almost eat here everyday because of this. I've never had such a pleasurable experience at a chipotle before. I've actually stayed clear of this place for many years due to the stuck up attitudes I've received from these places before. Heaven forbid you had a question about anything, you'd get a rolled eye with their response. Because of the service I received today I'm definitely going back. What friendly people. I left with great quality food and decent portion sizes. The two people at the end were excellent I wish I caught their names. The girl at the register with the septum pricing left a lasting impression so did her male co worker. I hope to get the same experience next time I go in. read more

This place is great. I used their catering service for a party of 30. It was fantastic. Jeremy was amazing. He was on top of things. He called the day before the event to confirm and he called two days later to make sure everything was good. When we went to pick up the food the entire staff was friendly and knowledgable. I wasn't sure what to expect, never heard of this chain before. When I arrived all employees welcomed me and asked me if I had questions or if I wanted to sample anything. They were quick, friendly and patient since I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted. The food was great! I opted for a salad with their seasoned beef, and it was soo tender!! Food is ok but try to sit on one of their CHEAP CHAIRS, if your over 150 lbs you stand a great chance of a chair folding under your weight, these chairs seem to be the standard for all Chipotle grills. The owners cater to those skinny folks. read more

Unfortunately I have to say this location does not really live up to others in the Sac area. Every single time I go, they aren't that friendly and my bowls always seem smaller then the ones in Folsom. I really want to like it because its near my house and healthier then other fast food options but ultimately I would rather go down the street and get more authentic Mexican food even if the calorie count is higher! read more

Typically I love Chipotle burritos, but this location proves the exception to the rule. I have given this restaurant 3 tries and have been disappointed each and every time. Between the tiny portions (far less than a typical Chipotle restaurant), the fact that they ALWAYS seem to be out of something I want on my burrito, and the rude and inattentive staff I truly wish I could give this place 0 stars. I stopped in during the lunch rush today for a couple of burritos to go and while placing my order I noticed that the carnitas serving bin was almost empty. Thinking that they would simply bring more out I placed my order and proceeded to move down the counter. I then noticed the lady trying to fill my burrito with the fatty nub ends of unshredded pork that were floating at the bottom of the pan. Luckily (or so I thought) I caught it in time and changed my order to steak. THE STEAK WAS RAW! I don't mean a nice pink center like medium rare, I am talking cold and gelatinous red in the center...completely disgusting. I will not be returning to this restaurant, nor will my family and friends. read more

Third or fourth time and still the order was wrong. Sent husband out (15 minutes from home) to get takeout for dinner. Last time the carnitas had a chemical taste as though maybe someone had forgotten to rinse the soap out of the pan. Threw out and called the manager who expressed his sincere dismay and, of course, comp'd our next order. Biggest problem is that the staff are very immature and in so much of a hurry they just can't get an order right if you are standing right in front of them. It doesn't rattle me, I just go slower, but husband gets freaky and can't think straight. And, as a previous reviewer stated, the meat was cold at 4:00 PM. I love the Chipotle chain, and we were very excited when we finally got a store up here, but the aggravation is not worth it. I would NOT recommend this store. I have eaten only once before at a Chipotle's in La Canada (So Cal) and enjoyed it. This time my spouse and I tried the one in Placerville right after coming home from a vacay. We walked in on a Thurs night, and it was mid level busy, tho most customers were eating not ordering. The server with piercings and tats was really friendly and helpful as we asked him about what was in the offerings and how they were prepped. The food was more than ample, and the taste was really good. I had a bowl with the new seasoned tofu and my spouse had a burrito with pork. I think that if you want to lighten up the caloric count, try the bowls and decrease the rice serving by half. Well worth the money and we ate it at home, where it was more comfy, but the food did stay hot. read more

We eat at Chipotle quite a bit. We live out of the area, and we were coming back from Tahoe. We decided to stop at this Chipotle, and were very happy with the service! We have never had such a pleasant group of young people wait on us! We were particularly impressed with Jessica, at the register! Such a lovely personality! HORRIBLE! arrived right when the doors open to grab lunch...was surprised that the meat trays looked a little empty..continued to order my burrito bowl with carnitas and all the yummy toppings. got back to work to eat my yummy lunch and everything was cold, I only work less then 5 minutes from this place. The brown rice was hard, the meat tasted like they dumped ton of pepper all over it, tasted like it was left over from the day before and the presentation looked like that as well..just was not happy for 8.00 was really disappointed. Called talked to the manager Jackie she was very nice and wanted to make sure to let me know she will check the food up front...wanted me to try it again she would comp my next meal. That was very nice of her...but my worries is there seems be a lot of people in my office that live local and have tried this place are very unhappy! Chipotle is my source of choice for fast food.That said, I would not visit this particular location again. Our three orders were prepared promptly by good natured employees who appeared to be "supervised" by a hovering older man who was not helping but rather, watching closely. Our bags of chips were 1/4 full, the cheese on our orders was barely detectable, and servings of rice, beans, and meat were relatively parsimonious. The franchise owner in Placerville is obviously planning to make up for lackluster business (emptiest Chipotle I have ever seen-Saturday at lunch time) by shortchanging customers on quantity. A woman in front of me asked for more rice for her children's orders. I looked to see what the problem was, and even after a bit more was added, it was hardly generous. read more

Someone on here says what a great staff. I beg to differ. The two or three times I have been in I felt like I was being served by meth freaks.Very rushed and high strung! I highly recommend you travel about 20 minutes more(if heading to Sac) and stop at the one on Zinfadel exit.There you will truly see a great staff. Yesterday when I was there among many problems, instead of telling me that the carnitas were not ready, they "built" my bowl backwards.While that may not seem like a big deal....it's not what i expected nor is it how the corporate office would want their food presented. Presentation is sooo important. And I dont want salsa on the bottom of my bowl and then the meat last.IDK it just looked stupid...and they weren't even busy...why wasn't the pork ready... a sign of a mismanaged kitchen...I'll waste no more time here..just trust me, go to the Rancho Cordova location.Not as good a neighborhood,but much better! read more

Great food, great people, great place to eat. This is sort of like fast food, but not junk food. Pretty good quality stuff and a good deal I think. You get a pretty good meal for around 7 bucks and yes, it is salty but it is about the best restaurant food around. I eat there about 2 times a month and love the Barbacoa the most. This was my second time trying Chipotle and it was horrible. The service was fine, however the food was cold, and when I was ordering, the beans looked disgusting. The food looked old and overall just bad. I ordered 2 kids meals, one was 2 tacos and one was a quesadilla. We chose steak for the tacos and the steak was so spicy that my child refused to eat their food. I understand that Chipotle serves spicier foods but for a kid? My child likes spicy food but this was horrible. The chips that came with the meals were old and stale and the rice tasted nasty. Overall, the food was disgusting and despite the staff remaking our COLD food, it was still cold. The only decent thing we tried was the soda's, at least those tasted decent(Root-beer was super watered down). I love spicy food so it wasn't too hot for me, the food just had bad quality. I'll try Chipotle our again one day but definitely not at this location. read more

so im lost most chipotles give lots of rice and little meat but not here lots of meat and nothing else haha , but unfortunately the rest of the place is completely ignored . the tables in the entire place including outside are dirty , now this would not be so bad if they would supply us with wash clothes cause clearly they are too busy texting and talking ... I mean working to clean it took 10 minutes to get our food by the 4 people behind the counter .... and during the hour we were sitting of course this is after I had to clean my table and seat before I could eat I had to find a fork because too busy to refill forks .... they finally got forks out here so during this hour and ten minute visit only 2 people came out from the counter only to use the restroom . one guy assuming the manager with his large guage earings and poorly dressed skinny jeans real professional if you ask me ... he ignores it all then a young lady who found a nut from a bolt on the floor she looked real hard to find the other end just amazing focus on that she never even seen all the food everywhere . so yea wow the portion is great but the cleanliness is terrible so be sure to get your food to go or bring your own wash bucket read more

We chose Chipotle Mexican Grill to cater our wedding, and it was INCREDIBLE! We looked around at many other catering businesses for weddings and it was insanely high priced and completely out of our budget. I was talking to my sister and she is the one who suggested Chipotle, she had previously worked there, and said they can do up to 200 people orders. After not being able to find any other catering business that we liked we decided to go for Chipotle, I am so glad we did!!! It was incredibly easy, they had it all packed up to easily be picked up by the ladies helping at my wedding. It was set up buffet style, and my guests raved about the food! It was delicious, everyone loved it! Even though it was our "back up plan" this decision was the best and I will suggest them to anyone who is looking for something affordable to feed a lot of people; and I don't really know anyone who doesn't like Chipotle! Thank you Joe and the crew that helped make this delicious meal for us! We will be back! read more
