Let's start with the good. The people that work there are very nice and helpful. Always have a smile and treat the customers well. My big beef is with the food. I love Chipotle, especially after a busy day. The unfortunate thing is that the consistency is off. I can't tell you how many time I have received stale tasteless chips. Communion wafers taste better than those chips. This is also the last time I buy Guac. It tasted like an avocado smashed up. No salt. No flavor. Not a good thing. This Chipotle location is pretty good. Sure, it's fast food but you have to admit their food is tasty. I usually order a chicken burrito with guac and cheese. The rice in the burrito is cilantro-lime rice and has a great flavor. I can also recommend the sofritas burrito and the quesadilla with steak (the latter is not on the menu). The salsas are very good, with the medium being a little too weak and the hot salsa being a bit too spicy (but I usually order it anyway). The service has always been good here in my experience and the place is clean. read more

We just had our son pick up our meal. Third time in a row it was wrong. Besides forgetting the bag of chips my meal was not even close. I ordered a double steak burrito bowl with cauliflower rice, black beans, fajita veggies, corn and fresh salsa, and sour cream. I got a single order of meat in lettuce with a dab of sour cream. The label on the dish was right but it ended there. So disappointed. This is the third time I can remember that our order was not right. Usually not this bad though. I visited this chipotle on 4/11/22 at about 9pm. The food bar was disgusting and I should have just walked out after seeing the brown lettuce. Chipotle is my favorite fast food and this location does not disappoint. Great place to stop for a bite on the way to or from Tahoe since there is a Safeway gas in this center. I see a lot of folks complaining about portion sizes, but this has never been an issue for me (I usually get a salad and the meat is consistent with other Chipotle locations). read more

Shawn the manager and the extremely friendly staff were amazing as they accommodated me and my handicapped friend to make todays lunch very memorable. I placed a to go order at 8:40 and paid online, they are supposed to be open until 10 got there and staff were cleaning up inside with and closed sign on the door i knocked and they pretended they couldn't see or hear me until finally the manager i'm guessing came out and said they were closed and told me i'd have to request a refund. I went to this Chipotle last night for the first time and ordered food to go. First, we were rushed through the line, even though we were the only customers in line. After telling the person what I wanted (black beans, bla, bla, bla) he couldn't remember and had to re-ask. Not that big a deal but... Maybe it was because it was so difficult to hear the employees' questions/comments over the noise. As far as the food: my burrito had all the ingredients 'lumped.' In other words, one bite was all salsa, another all rice. It was also so DRY. We ordered chips but alas, no chips! They had no chips at 7:00pm on a Friday night. How is is possible for a Mexican themed fast food place to be out of chips? Poor planning? I also ordered a salad but they forgot to put the dressing in the bag. Not impressed. I should note that the cashier was very friendly. However, based on the food and ordering chaos, I never plan to return. read more

Let's get this part out of the way. The food is very good. You get what you pay for. If you want quality it isn't going to be cheap. We're okay with that. Chipotle Grill typically staffs friendly 20-something year old "kids". They are obviously well trained and efficient, which reflects training protocol that is very good. Kudos to the brass for this. A couple of things are a bit irritating about Chipotle in recent visits. First, we DO NOT want the people who are creating our food with excessive tattoos and nose piercings, no matter how nice they are! It's effing gross okay. Nuff said. Lastly, I found out that adding one too many items to my quesadilla DOUBLES the cost of it. Yes, you heard it correct, adding a few bell peppers doubles the price and it automatically gets kicked up to the price of a huge burrito! We're okay with paying something additional, that's reasonable, but this pricing policy is ABSURD! Fix it! Should be 5 star, but 3 is all they get from us. read more

They always give me half a spoon of each thing I ask for. So then I'll tell them, can I have some more please, and they give me even less, like a teaspoons worth. Like I'm a gerber baby. So the last time I went, I thought I had all this BS figured out. I said let me get a side of rice.. Yeah, like how are you going to jip me now hahaha. So he gives me a baby scoop, and I say go ahead and fill that up buddy. He fills it up and charges me 4.80 for it. WTF! Just wandered in to order a couple burrito bowls the other day, really craving some carnitas. Alas the carnitas was still cookin, needed about ten minutes. So Savannah, who I believe was the manager (had a real managerial attitude, gettin things done like a boss), she gave me a free soda cup for the wait which was already kind enough. However once the carnitas came out and my bowls were fixed up Savannah, being a true angel walking amongst us, comped my entire meal. I couldn't accept the kindness without leaving a nice hefty tip, as I am riddled with guilt whenever people help me like a true millennial. At any rate, this chipotle is always on point and Savannah is a badass. She's too good to just manage a single store in my opinion, somebody give this woman a promotion! I used to Love Chipotle, it was our go to place for the I-don't-feel-like-cooking night each week. On the way to Tahoe in December we stopped at this Chipotle and grabbed some burritos to go for the trip. The chicken in my burrito was almost Raw. The food is awesome like usual. However, all the teenagers that work there have all their friends hanging out. So, their to busy talking to help us. Also, there are some employees behind the counter and in the back without their uniforms on. One girl with teal tipped hair and a unicorn shirt on was talking to some employees who were actually working and proceeded to cough without covering her mouth RIGHT above the food the WORKING employees were preparing. I Came in tonight with my daughter at about 6pm, to get a burrito and a few sides. When i ordered my daughters (all she will eat here is the rice with cheese on top) so i ask for a few sides, starting with white rice. The employee begins to close the to-go container... I was like "that's not enough can I get another scoop?" SO HE ROLLS HIS EYES AT ME!! I ignore it, he adds another scoop and begins to close it again . I was like "im not done with that i need a scoop of cheese on top." HE ROLLS HIS EYES AGAIN! I didn't want to make a scene so i didn't say a thing. wow this guy and for what? because he had absolutely no patience, and was just trying to rush to the next customer?.So rude! the employees decided to throw my wallet away. i left my wallet there on a friday night. i didn't realize i didn't have it until sunday so i called no one answered. then i called monday and the girl i talked to told me the employees through my wallet away on sunday and laughed while she said it. Then said they aren't allowed to keep stuff like that and that it was safer to throw away. my WHOLE wallet?? i worked in a restaurant before and we kept debit cards that were left from years ago. then I asked her if i could speak to a manager and she said she was a shift manager and i asked for the store manager and she said there was no one higher then her. absolutely ridiculous. NEVER will be going back to this establishment again. read more

At this Chipotle we are usually pleased with service, portion & quality. Yesterday was a totally different story on all 3 levels. Ordered the buritto bowl with chorizo for the first time. Rice was usual amount, beans on the light side but OK. When he got to the Chorizo it was clear that the pan had only remnants left. He scraped the pan and came up with a spoonful of crumbs (about the size of a BB) and sprinkled them over the beans. This was maybe a little more than half the meat in a typical bowl. He then looked at the grill where there was more chorizo. I expected him to ask me to wait a moment. Instead he slid the bowl down the line. I asked if that was all the meat he was going to put in the bowl but he just walked away. I cannot say if he heard me or not. I asked the fixings person if that was all the meat they intended to put in the bowl. First response was I could get salsa on the side in a little cup. I asked again. Response 'Oh the chorizo is fresh. It hasn't been on the line more than 10 minutes'. I asked again. Response 'Oh do you want me to add some other type of meat'. All I wanted was usual amount of meat, in this case chorizo. Exasperated I gave up and just took the bowl as it was. Quality should start with the first person. He knew there was not enough for a correct portion, but he had a line of customers and correcting the error would have delayed things. Maybe a training booster will help. 2nd star is added because this Chipotle is usually good. read more

I like this location of Chipotle.. I go to several locations because I can usually order something that is in line with fairly clean eating habits. The Placerville shop is relatively new and has a large open layout which always seems to be clean and tidy. In terms of the food, you can expect the usual Chipotle choices, portions, speed, and prices of course. The employees at this particular location seem to go out of their way to be nice and friendly. I like that. I don't see quite the chaos at this location as with some of the others (I'm talking to you Rancho Cordova). Not much else to say. I like it. read more

I drive through Placerville a lot and I also happen to LOVE Chipotle so I always stop in on this one because it's right off the road. Sunday was the third time this location was closed and locked during business hours on a and I couldn't get food. I pulled up at 9pm and the doors were locked. Employees were inside cleaning and there was still food in the trays where they make the burritos. I even knocked on the door and the employees ignored me even though they could see me clearly. I even went to a different location nearby an had the same exact experience at another Chipotle. I understand that business might be slow but the hours on the door say they are open until 10 pm! We come here a lot. And usually we never have issues but today I was treated really badly by the lady who was at the front making burritos. I was already having a horrible day being sick and pregnant, we walk in and I accidentally dropped my Jamba Juice and it spills all over the floor and all over myself. :( I went to walk up to the window to ask her for a towel or something so I can clean it up, she just stares at me with this rude blank face. I asked her no joke 5 or 6 times. She didn't get a damn towel! I had to go ask someone else working there. She made me feel so stupid! I'm standing there with smoothie all over me and she didn't blink an eye, just stood there and stared at me very rudely. After another kind employee comes to give me a towel to clean myself up, I glance back over at this woman and she stares at me and rolls her eyes straight in my face!!! Thank you for making me feel even more embarrassed, as if I wasn't embarrassed enough as it is. This woman should not be in customer service at all. She was older with lighter hair and a horrible scowl on her face. It she's working we will not be coming back. I hope this helps the management. read more

This is your typical Chipotle fast food restaurant. I really didn't observe any differences from the one in Folsom, as some have said. My only complaint is that the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk, but they gladly turned it down when I asked them to. If you want the very best burrito in Placerville, though, go right across the street to Fresh Mex. read more
