Believe it or not, this was my very first time trying Chipotle. I was definitely not impressed. I guess I've been spoiled by Freebirds and expected something similar. There were very few choices, they were very skimpy with the lettuce in my salad and overall the flavor was just OK. I will definitely not be coming back voluntarily. I had the Barbacoa salad, hubby he the steak salad and the kids had kids meals with chicken, rice, beans/corn. Chipotle is one of my all time favorite go to spots - I love the versatility in what you can get and the portion size for the cost of the meal. Speaking in particular to this specific Chipotle location, I would say overall it is a solid 9 out of 10. There is nothing above and beyond that makes this Chipotle stand out from the others but the location is clean and it is conveniently located right off 35. The only problem that I saw is that the lunch rush can cause the line to be rather long due to Dell's Round Rock location being 5-10 min away. What I would recommend if you are looking to grab lunch here during the week - place your order online so that you don't have to wait in the line and can pick it up immediately rather than waiting in line. Subway but for burritos... This place is literally horrible! The ingredients they have are weird, not Hispanic type ingredients you would find in an authentic burrito. The proportions are wack, I was watching the guy slam a huge dab of sour cream on everyone's burrito like it was going out of style. We get to the end of the line, added some chips and salsa... it came out to like 27 dollars with a beer from the cooler. we go get some water, no ice in the machine... so we sit down I pop open my beer, it's beyond warm. I'm literally cringing out at this point. Open the bag of chips to find out they are stale. Okay so at least my burrito won't be horrible right? They couldn't even wrap it very well! Read that Chipolte is in the midst of a resuregence and saw they had a new Carne Asada option so wife and I decided to give Chiplte another chance. We ordered a carne asada burito. The carne asada was tough as shoe leather and we ended up throwing it away. I don't think Chipolte is back yet. read more

This place is horrible when i ordered my food they had no white rice and she said it would be 30 minutes smh no guacamole no corn salsa and the guy making the meat was just standing around looking out the window. I could be wrong but he could have been making guacamole or corn salsa I instead of standing around and I ordered a Mexican Coke that was warm smh I think I'll drive further to a better chipotle. That cashier named Sophia was super fast and incredibly nice. I didn't have enough money for chips but she let me have them anyways and said she would take care of it for me, it made my day. I'm not one to complain but I felt something has to be said but this has to be the worse chipotle I've ever had. They did this once a while ago like 3 months. Food was cold, avocado was brown, & chips stale. This time around we ordered again thinking maybe things had changed, absolutely not, again food cold, avocado brown with a weird taste, chips again stale, & to make it worse the chicken in my burrito was overly salty & I like salt. We were not terribly impressed. The portions sizes seemed much smaller than what we are used to getting at Chipotle. Once my burrito was wrapped up, there was too much tortilla for the fillings--layers and layers of tortilla to bite through! The tea looked way too weak, more like colored water. The last two times I have been here they run out of ingredients and refuse to get more from the back. Completely ruins everything about the food. Why pay for a bowl or burrito with literally no ingredients? With an hour and a half still before close they should have brought of more ingredients from the back instead of saying they're out. A little disappointing. The staff are friendly enough (I really don't put as much weight on customer service as other reviewers seem to - as long as you smile, that's enough for me). But the food is vastly subpar to other Chipotle locations I've been to. The white rice, which I love, was soggy. There were two pieces of steak mixed in with my sofritas. I'm not a religious vegetarian so I didn't mind just picking them out. But for someone like my mother, who absolutely cannot eat anything that has touched beef, that would be a disaster. Please be more considerate and keep your food separate. I was given way too much cheese despite asking for "a little bit" of cheese. The location itself is huge, open, and has lots of seating. I came in to try the new queso, which debuted this week. It was rather bland. While it was not watery, it definitely needs some additional spices to give it a little zest. It was $2.05 + tax for the individual side serving. In addition to the queso, I ordered a soft taco with steak for $2.75 + tax; actually I requested it with half steak/half chicken, which is not advertised on the menu. The taco was good and included a lot of toppings for $2.75. I got a regular soft drink for $1.80 + taxes. With the exception of the queso, I thought everything was good. Chipotle needs to go back to the drawing board on the queso. Tip: place your order online to avoid the long lines and wait. read more

Definitely wouldn't recommend this location, primarily because the lack of customer service. I sent in a mobile order on my lunch break, arrived 5 min after the designated time, just to wait around for my order. Finally an employee came to inform me that they were out of my protein selection, so they deliberately admitted to not making my order. Long story short, I waited and additional 20 minutes for my order just to be made the wrong way, even after specifying my alterations. I missed my lunch break even though I work right down the road and now I'm hungry and sad. read more

Placed an order on the app. Went to go pick it up and had to wait a bit. I wouldn't have minded if the food was actually fresh and they didn't shy away from putting cheese and lettuce into my bowl. Not only that but an employee was literally eating a burrito while preparing the to go order. How disgusting and very unsanitary. I also ordered a chicken quesadilla kids meal and they didn't even bother to put the chicken in the actual quesadilla. Only on the side. Plastic in my burrito. I've been to this location so many times I lost count. Today was by far the worst experience I have had at this location and or any food restaurant lately. The last thing I would expect while chewing on my S burrito is left over plastic from a bag. I've never eaten at a Chipotle before. My gf told me to go while I was in Round Rock. First off, I stood there for quite a while without any staff greeting me, taking my order or even saying a single word to me. Eventually the girl that took my order was very nice and fast. The chips were like big balls of salt. I couldn't get past 3. The salsa, red salsa, was good but no edible chips to eat with it. The burrito, i got the carnitas, was ok but definitely not worth $8. The carnitas was so peppery I couldn't taste any meat. That was my first and last time with Chipotle. read more

Ordered an incredible Monday dinner from this location. Great staff, good work ethics in this hour of pandemic. Was a very clean and hygienic venue. I would give them zero stars if I could. This is the most mismanaged and underwhelming chipotle I have ever been to. They open at 10:45. We go in at 10:50 and they don't even have white rice ready for another 30 mins??? I understand that maybe some people called out or that stuff happens but that is just unacceptable. I've been to the Chipotle on Sundance three times in the last two weeks. Visit 1: They didn't give me the chips I paid for when I ordered online. Called to complain and the manager (Tim) offered me a free meal on my next visit. Visit 2: Claimed my free meal and chips. It was good. Visit 3: It feels like I was cheated out of half a bowl. I only get 4 things in my bowl and it was a sad one this time. Chips are stale. I will need to drive the extra couple miles to get better Chipotle. Oh Chipotle, why would you do me so wrong? This is the 2nd time I've had food poisoning from this location, from the salsa. The first time, I was pretty sure it was the salsa, and stayed away for many months, but the husband kept suggesting it and eventually I gave in. Never again. Like other reviewers mentioned, this Chipotle does seem to require a bit more attentive supervision and management as most employees looked very young and some seemed to require a bit more training. For instance, the employee who made my order put a lot of (and disproportionately) extra hot salsa and couldn't wrap my burrito and ended up asking another employee for help. I love their extra hot salsa and that's typically the only salsa I put in my Chipotle order, but this time, he poured so much of it in my burrito that I actually couldn't finish eating it. However, I understand that trainees need practice and experience before getting better, so it was not a huge issue for me. Yet, I do see the need for higher level of management as the establishment not clean as it should be, even when there weren't a lot of customers that needed to be helped. Never had a bad experience at a Chipotle. Been going to them for as long as they have been in existence. They're vegetarian friendly, have tons of options, both healthy & not-so, the BEST chips and guacamole! Great tea, beer and even margaritas if you want it! And best of all, they source their meat from farms who treat their animals ethically, don't pump them full of chemicals, which would later end up in your body. Ok so I'm not one to ever write reviews about anything, but the order I received from this Chipotle location today was just unacceptable. I placed and online order of just a double chicken burrito bowl with brown rice, pinto beans, sour cream and cheese as well as a small side of guacamole. Easy enough? Well, upon opening my bowl at home I noticed there was hardly any chicken in it at all (I got double) as well as their corn being added which I didn't even order. This to me wasn't a huge deal until I took out my side of guacamole. It was black! Inedible to the point where I'd probably get sick because of how rotten it was. I would have rather them forgotten my guacamole or said it was unavailable then get what what I was given.
