I don't understand why they don't answer the phone during business hours... I'd recommend to not online order from here, either, as they tend to not give nearly enough food for the price point (Especially in comparison to what you'd get ordering in-store). Not the worst Chipotle experience I've had, but definitely disappointing on multiple fronts. My order was simple--Chips and Queso--but the execution was careless. The chips were stale and borderline inedible, and the queso tasted old, clumpy, and lacked flavor. To make matters worse, the bag was packed with zero attention to detail; the cheese container was literally tossed in upside down, creating a mess before I even opened it. There were no orders being prepared when I came in either since all employees were prepping food for the line. Too bad though, when I got to the order station they started my order for two burritos but were unable to complete them since there were no beans. Either black or pinto. I was quoted 5-10 more minutes to get my burritos. I declined and walked out at 5:09. This location also has a history of making my online orders light despite paying for extra (an underweight I have complained to corporate about that) which is why I walk in when I can. read more

I felt bad for the young lady making my order, she seem to be the only one working, there were at least 5 other employees working. They were congregating on both ends of the order line for some reason. I don't believe this location gets super busy. The structure of the line up to the order station is quite short. Stop here probably once a week. The steak has become progressively over cooked and for some reason has a fish taste now. Don't know if il be back. Update: I believe I have figured out the fish taste and it's not fish at all. What I'm speculating is that they cook their steak immediately after the tofu or something similar. Then after calling I am given the excuse that there's new employees so errors are high... seriously? They got 3 bowls right and gave us someone else's bowl from a different order. There was no one in line, but there were three other online order customers waiting. We were ignored, and then surprised when a walk-in arrived and ordered. We then waited while the workers continued to serve only walk ins. The to go line got longer. All of us had order times at least 5-10 minutes before the walk-ins arrived. We were still ignored until my husband reminded them of our order, they acknowledged him, started it, then set it down as another walk-in came in. The ticket was still sitting on the counter and the girl who seemed to be in charge lazily moved it to the front and mumbled that it would be done soon. They then took care of several new walk-ins while I waited. After over 25 minutes, I asked if she could just refund my money, and she said she didn't know how. They then finally finished it. The garbage cans were all overflowing and there was garbage all over the floor. The tables were dirty and the place looked like a mess, and I'm certain would not remotely pass a health inspection. A customer asked for napkins and was given a stack of napkins and straws to load the counter themselves. Numerous customers asked about the ice, which was never filled... Leaving one star for me is honestly a hard thing to do. Chipotle is my go to spot for lunch during the week. I usually eat there 2-3 times a week. It had been a year or so since I had been to the Shakopee location. I stopped in last week with a few friends before heading to the range and it was a terrible experience to say the least. As I was in line I was asked by three different employees if they could have free RedBull and one even was a prick enough to say "where is my redbull" (I drove an event vehicle to here) I had my younger cousins behind me and they did not even bother to take their order so I had to order for them. To top it off the food itself was no where near up to par. Both carnitas and lettuce where soaking wet as well as the salad dressing had a taste that was worth taking a trip to the trash can. Management needs to get in check or something! People have figured out calling ahead is better to avoid the long wait- but only affects the people waiting in line because phone orders get priority. We waited, walked in and we're astonished at the way this store was run. Nobody was doing anything including the manager (Josh). There were employee beverages sitting in the food prep area, rice, chips, and cheese sprawled across the floor, trash all over restaurant area, absolutely disgusting and not to mention that orders were so far behind. After waiting 30 minutes PAST the time the app said our food would be ready, I had to go up and ask where our order was. It took another 10 minutes for our food to be made and when I demanded a refund/discount/free drinks, only then did someone apologize for the delay and it was the sweet trainee who was clearly new but knew to apologize. Been going to Chipotle for a long time, but this location takes 1st place for shittiest location. The interior is small and filthy and the staff is awful. I listened while multiple employees complained about customers as they walked out of the door and carried on inappropriate conversations while helping other people (they weren't busy) . My food was fine however. If you have to go here just expect the staff to either carry on talking about why they didn't like the previous customer or for them to ignore you. If management is reading this I literally just left the restaurant 10 minutes ago (its 3:24 as I type this on Nov 21st) you know who's working right now and you can hold them accountable, because if you don't address these issues the 1 star reviews will keep coming and eventually people will learn to avoid this hell hole. read more
