Wow, guess a history of 2 stars has done nothing to encourage improvement. My daughter usually gets the kids build your own tacos. It comes with two tortillas. I love Chipotle when they get it right. The only way this place gets it right is if you order in store and guide them on making the meal. If you order carry out online, it is slopped together by someone that doesn't not give a crap about presentation. It is almost always short on items. Many times a "double" protein order looks barely like any thing extra was added. Then they dump the bowl sideways shoving in the bag and it all slops to one side. Orders are often cold and they ignore the time requested. It should be sitting 15 min before pickup time. read more

This is a pretty good location now that they are coming back from COVID issues. They used to have very random days where they were entirely closed, the hours do fluctuate a bit but they are a bit more reliable again. I generally recommend using the app to preorder, but at this moment I would go in person to make sure your choice of ingredients are all available at that time. Maybe I'm just unlucky but I always seem to order when they have no hard taco shells or fajitas ready. This is the 3rd time I've come here and the store is constantly out of veggies or steak. I got there at 8pm and they had so little food you would have thought it was closing time (10pm). It's like this even earlier in the day as well. While the staff was nice, the place looked a mess. One of the staff members was cleaning the grill like they were closing, there was papers all over the floor behind the counter and empty metal containers stacked 8-10 deep, from what I'm assuming was the cooked food from earlier. Usually they're somewhat decent but lately the food is never consistent, sometimes the staff is super friendly and other times they seem like you're inconveniencing them by being there. Today we placed a mobile order and got two burritos bowls for lunch, both of them were filled with little black bugs. At first we thought it was just pepper or something but pepper doesn't crawl. I ordered online 1/05/23 for pickup at 5:40. the order was for two bowls one chicken and one steak. I needed to wait an extra minutes because it was not ready at that time. When I got home with the order my wife said that something was missing and could not eat it all. Probably one of the worst chipotles I've been to. Did an online mobile order that was supposed to be picked up at 8:30 PM. Arrived at 8:30, the food was not ready. Waited around in my car for an additional 10 minutes and then walked in and had to wait a few more minutes until I got my food. Returned to the store to get my money back and was told I had to call 1-800-Chipotle because it was a mobile app order, WTF. I have tried this Chipotle twice, for takeout. The first time was because I love Mexican food and Chipotle is the closest thing you can get to a decent burrito. I was particularly happy when a Chipotle was built in Shrewsbury, close to home, instead of driving to York, for a burrito. When I went there, I got the carnitas burrito, with rice and beans and green peppers and onions (half and half) hot salsa, and guacamole, double-wrapped, since Chipotle's burritos are famous for falling apart. I also ordered a side of the chips and guacamole. When I got home, and began to eat the burrito, I was surprised to find the tortilla shells were stale and hard. The burrito was not packed with meat and fillings like I'm used to getting from other Chipotles. The hot salsa was overbearing and I like it hot. I was completely dissatisfied. I decided to give this location another chance figuring that maybe they were working out the glitches, just opening the new location. This time I opted for the chicken burrito with the same fillings and side orders. Again, when I got home, it was the same results. The burrito was skimpy and the tortillas were stale. The staff at this location could definitely use some training in customer service and food preparation; emphasis on consistency and company standards. I will not give this Chipotle a third chance to take my money for an unsatisfactory meal and unpleasant experience. read more

I love Chipotle! This is the first Chipotle I have been too that is so backwards. First, this location recently opened and when I went the service was quick but my burrito did not look like other Chipotles I have been to. One bite and the entire burrito fell apart at the bottom. When I asked staff to please wrap me up a new burrito it was handed to me to do myself. My son ordered a kids quesadilla and it was a burrito with melted cheese, folded in half. Now this was a kids quesadilla! How can a child eat it without being cut into portions. Lastly the maximum occupancy is 50! So it's very small and feels crowded to the point people on line are basically beside you the entire time you are eating. Love Chipotle but not this one. read more

My first Chipotle experience was at this new location. I ordered through the website which seemed like a good idea though when I arrived, there was no indication I could simply bypass the long line to pick up my order. I ended up waiting 15 or so minutes before it was made known to me. Maybe it's just me or the fact I'm not a huge Mexican food fan, but I didn't really get all the fuss about Chipotle. The chicken burrito was very good and quite filling but overall, the menu seems boring to me. Am I missing something or does it basically consist of three items- burritos, "bowls" and tacos all of which use the same ingredients? The staff was on the slow side but I can give them a newbie pass on that one. I was very glad to be getting carry-out as the spartan dinning room looked most uncomfortable. It had a very rigid, industrial feel. There are a few communal bench style tables in the center of the small room encircled by the long ordering line on one side and shear wooden panels on the other. The Sun blazed through the huge western window wall with little shielding. It looked most uninviting even by fast food standards. The very space said: "Get in, eat, and get out as soon as possible." Something is wrong when you pity the diners you see as you stand in line over them. Everyone seated just looked uncomfortable like they wanted to get it over with. It's really an awful seating arrangement. You could not pay me to eat in there. Lastly, I was annoyed at posters boasting their new anti-GMO policy. They've given into the popular fear mongering. Though I understand they have to look out for their bottom-line, this is an anti-science position which only serves to promote uncritical thinking based on unsubstantiated perceptions and demonization of completely SAFE and necessary technologies. Stupidity wins here. I'm definitely not comfortable supporting this ill-informed ideology with my patronage. I typically don't give a second thought to a company's public stance or value-based judgment on a thing but I do draw the line at willful and proud support of stupidity. If a company says "we won't serve pork anymore because we don't like how pigs are raised" that's a value judgment I can respect, if not agree with. If they reject all GMOs they simply have not done their homework and are making a bad decision in the name of marketing. That's just sad. Ok at a friends request I tried again just to see if perhaps I was too hasty in my earlier review. Well, service wasn't bad at 11:30 on a Thursday morning but I still wasn't impressed with the meal. Three steak tacos were not filling and the meat was tough while the fillings were scanty at best. With a soda the bill was over $9! This was my first experience at Chipotle, both as a customer AND a prospective employee. Both of these experiences were absolutely dreadful. My customer experience was simple, I got a burrito and it was poorly made and had two ingredients on it that I didn't even ask for. When I told them that they must've put it on by mistake without me noticing, the lady just rolled her eyes and told me that they couldn't make me another one without me having to pay for it. I wasn't going to pay for another burrito, and they wouldn't give me my money back for the burrito that I bought that I couldn't even eat. Not one of the employees were helpful or cared and I was basically told that it wasn't their issue. This customer experience happened in the middle of my prospective employee time frame. I applied to work at this Chipotle on June 8th, and got a request for an interview on June 9th. I was pleased at how fast they got back to me - this was before I learned that they basically just automatically give an interview to everyone that applies. My first interview was June 11th and it went well, it was an individual interview and the man that was interviewing me was extremely nice and accommodating. I know this will sound braggy but, I am overqualified for a job at a fast food joint. They told me they were looking for someone like me and that they would get back to me by the end of that day or the next day. My customer experience happened 3 days after the interview. I still had not heard back from them and was going to give them another day before I called to ask about the status of my interview/application. I had never actually eaten at Chipotle before so I figured if I wanted to work there, I needed to try it out. Even after my awful experience as a customer, I still wanted the job. I am a college student and am in need of a job at home to earn money for my college tuition. So, the next day I called and asked about my interview and they told me they hadn't yet taken a look at it and would get back to me by the end of the day. They never got back to me. This happened THREE more times - me calling to ask if I was ever going to hear back from them and them telling me they would get back to me by the end of the day. On June 17th, I got an email requesting another interview from me scheduled for June 19th. This interview also went well. It was a group interview and I was confident that I had met all of Chipotle's qualifications for employment. At the end of this interview, I was told I would hear from them within 2 days time. After 4 days of hearing nothing, I called them and asked about my interview, they told me they would get back to me by the end of the day and AGAIN, they didn't. So today, I call again to see what is going on, and simply ask the manager they connected me with if they have an answer for me as I was told I would be contacted at the latest 2 days and it had been 5. This woman was the same manager that I had talked to a few times before. She proceeded to tell me to call back in 20 minutes because they were busy, I told them that wasn't a problem at all, and 45 minutes later (I thought I'd give them even more time than they asked) I called back and asked to talk to the same manager. The manager told me that they had yet to look at my application and would contact me soon. After hearing this same sentence over 6 times now, I asked her why I was never being contacted in the time frame constantly given to me. She proceeded to tell me that she checked over my application and that the positions available had been filled. So first, she doesn't answer the question, nor apologize for Chipotle's lack of ability to run a proper employment search. Second, she flat out lies to me saying she checked over my application when she had just told me they hadn't gotten the chance to look at it. I asked this manager when those 5 positions were filled and she told me TWO DAYS before my second interview. Why would I have even gotten a second interview if all the available positions had been filled prior to it? I asked her this, and she had no response- silence before stating to me just the sentence, "that is not my job". The HIRING MANAGER doesn't think that hiring people and contacting prospective employees and keeping a hiring schedule are her jobs. I proceeded to tell her that more than one person, including myself, have had this SAME problem with the application process here - that they do not keep up with what they say they are going to do and they ignore the people that call them to ask about their employment status, after already being ignored time and time again. She then hung up on me. How can Chipotle properly run a business this way when they treat both their prospective employees AND customers the same way - with utter disrespect? This was my first and last time as a Chipotle customer and as a prospective employee. I will never step into a Chipotle again. read more
