    a dab of tomato
    Elizabeth A.

2nd time I have ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich. No tomato both times. Also, both nights there was 3-5 employees outside smoking cigs (no problem if u need a smoke break) but the line was long, food time was long so they probably skipped the tomato part. I pay extra for the deluxe and it's frustrating not getting what you pay for. Management needs to real in their team.

Mustard sandwich, missing a slice of cheese, and not even put together properly.

One of the best McDonalds we have been too. Food seemed fresh. Service was quick. I was pleasantly surprised.

Summary: Not (always) terrible food but terribly inconsistent…read more This Five Guys location suffers the same problem as every location I've been too: really inconsistent food cooking. Case in point, last week I stopped in and grabbed a cheeseburger for myself and a hot dog for my mother. The hamburger was overcooked and thus on the dry side. My mother said the hot dog was terrible. On the up side, there was a very happy dog in the house that day. Most times it's been fine with juicy burgers and decent fries. But then there was the time a few weeks ago when I stopped in on a Sunday. When I got there I was the only person waiting on food. There was only one woman up front. As I saw while waiting for my food, there were about 4 or 5 other staff in the back making hamburger patties. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries to go. When I looked at the food at home I was really frustrated. The burger was so overcooked it was literally crunchy; I ate maybe 3 or 4 bites out of a rather pricey burger. They double fry the French fries but it had clearly been a long time before I got there that they had fried them the first time. They were chewy and stale tasting. Another pricey item going in the trash. For the prices you're paying, the food should always be cooked properly. But they don't give you a choice of doneness for the burger (which other places in this price range do) so you're at the complete mercy of the person on the grill. If the food were consistently cooked properly this place would be an easy recommendation. It is using much better ingredients than the mystery products you'd get from a fast food restaurant but that doesn't matter when they cook it into something resembling charcoal and charge a premium price for it. As it is, it's basically a game of Russian roulette whether your meal will be good.

I can't tell you how many times that medium is what I usually get when requesting medium-rare at restaurants. There's a big difference between the two in terms of internal temperature, center color, and texture. This place knows how to properly cook a medium-rare burger, and for me, that's a sign of quality and sets it apart. The sidewinder fries are fab as are the homemade potato chips and either comes with burgers. The dressing on the coleslaw needs some seasoning, but the slaw itself is fresh and crunchy. The Maryland crab soup is pretty slammin', too. I favor the back dining room, not the bar (in front). These 2 areas have different vibes. The back room feels like the way a burger joint should be. The bar is, well, more bar-ish. One of the servers, Brody, provides exceptional service--a shout out to him. This establishment's name is playful and clearly informs the customer as to what their specialty is: hamburgers. I bought one of their T-shirts, perhaps that says it all.

I've never had a bad burger here and always order the smash patties - I just enjoy them more. Two burgers and two beers were less than $50 with a tip - can't beat that in a tourist town. And I don't say this lightly -- it's the only one that competes with my own. Then the pizza showed up. Sourdough crust -- light, crisp, perfectly blistered. It felt vintage! Our waitress was great. We came for the thin crust tavern style pizza everyone raves about (heads up this is a special and was no longer going on). She was able to convince the chefs to make one for us! The price of their items for the quantity you get does not match up well. We understand local and higher quality ingredients but about 6 bucks for 30 fries is a little steep. The Tavern Style Pizza was around 25 dollars. We also got a chicken biscuit sandwich for our group and it didnt come with the side it was supposed. My rating is a 4 star based on taste and quality of the food, but the prices vs the amount of the food limiting it from a 5 star. The tavern style pizza had great taste and flavor. I see why people rave about it. I would like to go back and try their archetype pizza and detroit style. The chicken egg biscuit sandwich was also delicious! Overall, we want to go back and try other items. Know it cost a little more than your local pizza shops.
