Good food, but DO NOT order ahead for pick up. It takes just as long as waiting in line. Not worth it.

Went to Chipotle on a busy Wednesday afternoon during school hours. I commend the staff for getting people in and out so quickly. We were in line almost to the bathroom and we were served with the quickness. By the time we were seated, there was a line out the door. For as many people as there were in the establishment, the mood was upbeat and people seemed to be at ease in what could have been a hectic environment. I'm a really big fan of Chipotle but somehow this one didn't taste as good as the other ones I have tried.

Back home in Cupertino, CA., Our chipotle put a lot more in the burritos than these guys do. Don't get me wrong, they were super nice and chipotle is always to die for, but I did have to ask for extra rice. Otherwise the atmosphere seemed very clean and organized. Would go back for more. This is my favorite place to eat in State College and I've never had a bad experience here. Their food is delicious! The portions are enough to last for two meals. The service here is also so friendly and that's important to me. The wait can be a little atrocious at times because all of the college students who flock to this place but I don't blame them, I'f be hitting this place up on the regular too if I lived on campus. Their guacamole is my life! I could eat cats of that stuff, the best I've ever had anywhere! read more

I figured long lines would correlate with good food, but I was sadly mistaken. The burrito was filled with subpar food, and fell apart quickly. I would recommend the nearby American/Mex restaurants, like Qdoba, California Tortilla, or even Taco Bell. read more

When you get a burrito bowl they fold the tortilla in half and then put it in... Who does that? That means you cant wrap it into a little burrito later because the tortilla is all soggy and gross. It may seem petty for me to only give them 2 stars but it completely threw off my burrito bowl. read more

Usually Chipotle is delicious but the one in state college is horrible. The ingredients are below average for this establishment. It's sad they can't even roll a proper burrito. read more

After hearing how wonderful Chipolte is, two of my employees convinced me to go there with them. The lines were ok and moved at a decent pace. The music was a little loud for me personally. I do like that they have a very earth friendly caring attitude. There were a few problems I had: 1) I asked if they had nachos and queso. The response was "We have chips, not nachos." This was given with a very snarky attitude. Ok, I know, they are chips, nachos have stuff on them. Also, the same employee gave me dirty looks when I was dissappointed that they didn't have queso. Seriously, don't be a jerk employee lady. 2) The general "hipsterness" of the place. Everyone was on their iPhone texting away, not even talking to the people around them. I pretty much despise general attitude of the clientel. Honestly, take the walk down to Qdoba. The food is better, the portions are better, and their staff is always a good time. Also, the social aspect is a little better in that everyone actually is polite. read more

The food here is amazing, like most Chipitles, but the wait time is ridiculous. The lines are super long so if you go make sure you have enough time cause there is no quick in and out. 20-30 minute times for diner. Specially during dinner time. Sometimes at lunch there is no line. read more

We ordered a catered meal from chipotle for our volleyball team. What a great experience! The amount of food was tremendous, it was cooked fresh and on time as scheduled, and they even carried it to the car for me. When I opened it at the venue, I was amazed that it came with pans and sterno, matches, serving instruments, utensils, you name it, they thought of it. The girls loved the food. My first review, so why not start out with a college student staple. I have a "Golden Chipotle Rule": if Chipotle is mentioned, you can't eat anywhere else...it just won't be as good. Despite the fact that at any time of the day there can be a line to the door, the wait is worth it. Whether you choose a burrito, taco, or burrito bowl, you won't leave hungry. Chipotle loads their items up with amazing rice (it's got to be the cilantro!), your choice of beans, meat, and then as many fresh additions as you want, from their delicious three types of salsa to their corn blend. And be sure not to miss out on Chipotle's amazing guacamole and exceptionally salty chips. All around, if you want a relatively fast meal without compromising the quality of your food, you can't go wrong with Chipotle. College student tested and approved. read more

My office placed a $950 catering order to be ready at 11:00 am on Saturday, 12/3, four days in advance of the pick-up. Not only was the order not ready on time, but the belligerent attitudes, the rudeness, and the fact that the order was 20 minutes late were very alarming. The staff all looked pissed off, hung over, and dirty. I specifically asked the student who was carrying boxes out to my car if that was everything and to double check. He assured me the order was complete. When we arrived at the destination to set up the food for 70 people who had already been waiting 20 minutes to eat, guess who called? They said there were other items that they "forgot" like the sour cream, the salsas, the lettuce... my gosh! This place, like every other place in State College, is an epic failure at customer service. Almost $1,000 order and you can't even get it right. Pathetic. No professionalism, and filthy habits. The 3-4 guys in the back weighing the rice and beans for my order did not have gloves on, were adjusting their caps, touching their faces, and then putting their grimy hands into the aluminum pans to fill them with food. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. This is what happens when you hire students who couldn't care less about the business. They just want their beer money. I would never recommend Chipotle to anyone, ever. I came to this Chipotle while on a 5 1/2 hour drive after leaving my grandmothers. I live in California and read some reviews on this Chipotle when I was looking for chipotles on my route. I noticed in the reviews that they are skimpy on the meat and corn and that the burrito is extremely small for Chipotle. They were right. My server was very friendly, and apologized after I told him there was a big hole in the tortilla and I was driving. But after then they gave me a small amount of meat, at the end of the batch there were just a few pieces of steak left and he left it there even though the amount he gave me was small. They gave me a decent amount of rice and lacked with the corn. I was surprised just how small the other reviewer meant when they said it was small. The burrito ended out being about the same amount as a 4 layer burrito at Taco Bell. Someone also commented that the mild or medium salsa was way hotter than it should be. I got the mild because I don't like spicy food all of the time and it was more like medium. It usually takes me about 10-15 minutes to eat these burritos and I'm extremely full at the end. But when I ate this locations burrito I was done in literally five minutes. I noticed that the same song was on when I was done and it was 5:27 long. I was still hungry, and I'm a really skinny guy. I'm 6' 1" and only 150 so you can see I can't eat much, but I was actually disappointed when I realized I was already done. 2 stars for the burrito compared to other locations, and 4 stars for the service, (only because I had to point out the hole). I work inside Disneyland at Ghirardelli (which is not Disney owned) but we sell sundaes from 9-35 dollars. Whenever I make a sundae I make sure they get their money's worth because if you pay 9 dollars for a sundae and get 3 dollars worth how ripped off would you feel? I felt like I only received a 3 dollar burrito instead of the 7 dollars that I spent. read more

It's chipotle.... not a Michelin star restaurant but not a typical fast food place. Pretty consistent in taste/quality overall. My only problem with this restaurant is the portion size and the people who work there. I asked if I could get dressing with my salad and the worker threw it to me in a really rude manner. if i could give this place 0 stars i would. the service EXTREMELY. slow. ive been in line for OVER 15 minutes and the store CLOSES in 10 minutes. i have moved up maybe 5 spots. over 10 people are waiting on their mobile orders that they probably placed a LONG time ago. the staff is moving with 0 sense of urgency. i have watched SO many people leave because they are frustrated. nice job losing service, chipotle. the only reason im not leaving is because im hangry. read more

This is probably the worst chipotle I've ever been to. I understand we are in a college town and most of the workers are students. However, I had the pleasure of encountering a female worker in her late 20s, early 30s and she couldn't have been more rude. I had two bowls, one for me one for a friend and she forgot to ring one up. I look in my bag, there's only one order so I go back to the register and told her the situation. She goes yea I only charged you for one someone took the other one. Shrugged at me and I asked if I had to get back online. She then proceeded to roll her eyes and say what do you want? Another worker comes over and asked what was wrong and she told her that I was holding her up? It was not my fault SHE forgot to ring up my second bowl :) do NOT bring your parents here if you don't feel like hearing them bitch about the awful service they experienced at this establishment for your whole college career. read more

This place doesn't have to make an effort due to huge student population. I have enjoyed other locations, but the food quality at this spot is poor. Salsa often almost frozen in temp. My guess is that they recycle a lot of previous day's food. Some have complained portions are smaller at this location. Count your blessings. I can't wait for Moe's to open. read more
