We visited this location1/27/24 and were shocked in what we heard and saw. First there were at least 6 people working. I don't think a manager was on duty or either the employee using profanity the entire time we were there was the manager. The entire area was dirty. Tables had not been wiped down after other customers had left. The floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a week. There were 3 others tables with customers and we all were shocked by the profanity being loud and no one addressing it. If this wasn't bad enough, two people, one male and one female went to use the restrooms at different times during our visit and when they came out, at different times, they reported to the cashier there was no toilet paper. The cashier told both they "were out". No signs or cones were out to let customers know and bathrooms were not closed. The cashier told both they could just go next door and "use that restaurant's bathroom.". Both customers were appalled by the lack of concern and no attempt to go get the needed supplies. What a shame because Chipotle is one of my favorites. I will now drive an extra 20 mins to Waynesboro. I suggest others do that as well. read more

Poor customer service. Go To AUGUSTA KITCHEN just 3 miles down the road. It's not Mexican fare, but it's healthy options for bowls or plates. You can call in or dine in. FRIENDLY STAFF. It's worth the drive and delish, too. You won't be disappointed. read more

Manager is hostile and threatening- she is not a good leader- place is a mess - she hides in the back while her employees are failing out front- the store opens at 10:45 and and 11:20 they still don't have their stations stocked and prepped and ready to serve. An 11AM PICK UP order not ready/ or 1/4 ready not properly prepared and getting cold waiting for rest at 11:20 is unacceptable - a customer has a right to ask for it all to be remade not be called horrific names and told to die - manager mask below her nose at all times- preparing employee wiping her nose with her gloves hand many times and then continuing to prepare food without changing gloves. One burrito was prepared with only rice and meat, wrapped and wrapped in tin foil- I inquired what about the rest ingredients that were on the order. Three employees went and blankly looked at the order screen and one of them looked at me and said oh we're going to unwrap it all and add that later. This manager even said my 87 year old father could starve for all she cared- to get out of her line and wait- i asked where to wait- she said in hell for all she cared- I asked is there a designated place to park and wait for order - she said - "what the HELL KAREN.... are we McDonalds? " Well- McDonalds has customer service down to a science- maybe this manager should study them. Swearing and calling names? I asked for a refund and she said no ( again, I got no food) she then instructed her employees to throw away my cold -partially prepared order - which they did dramatically - Basic customer service for A restaurant, Prep stations and food should be Ready to go prior to opening. Even if night crew does part of that prep..... When customers arrive at opening they are not expected to wait 40 minutes for food- especially "fast food"!!!!!!! Bottom line- no food- $40+ charge, bad hostile service & no refund - this manager is not representing the name of the company (CHIPOTLE) or the owners with professionalism. I had to call cooperate to get my refund as she would not process- she also refused to give her name- seems like if she was going to stage a horrific show like that she would want to take credit when customer reported her- what does she have to hide- isn't she proud of how she treated a customer? .... It's not going to be hard for corporate or the owners to figure out who she was . She is not a leader - and she and those employees are going to fail at their jobs... word is already out in Staunton that this place is a hot mess. if could give zero stars I would- read reviews here, on Google and on Facebook- they are all bad- this manager is a running this business in a way that the investors and owners should be addressing immediately . read more

Don't waste your time until they get new management. We ordered through GrubHub. I got a steak burrito and they forgot the steak. My wife got a guac bowl and they forgot the guac. We ordered a large bag of chips and queso and received roughly 20 chips (for 7 bucks). The two kids meal where the kids get to pick three components, each came missing one. Literally, every part of the order was wrong. I've been to a few Chipotle's in other areas and have always had good experiences. This place needs new management, workers need to be trained, and they need to learn how to read their orders better. I'd give negative stars if I could. It's almost impressive how wrong they got the order. I honestly think it probably takes more effort to get the order as wrong as they did, than to get even a part of it right. Well done. I ordered two hours in advance because I knew they'd be busy because of the novelty of being new in town. My food was not only not ready when I came to pick it up, they had no idea that I had ordered and told me I must have ordered under another name. Ten minutes later they figured it out after I spelled my name for them. Fifteen minutes after that we got our food which was packaged so haphazardly that it all spilled out in the bag. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Ive worked in food service for over a decade and this is hands down the worst food establishment in the state. I've stopped here on my way home from work on multiple occasions. Every single time I stop it has been worse than the last and today I had to write this. The employees will see you standing there waiting to order and flat out ignore you until they're ready to deal with you. Mind you they're not doing anything productive while you wait to order your food mostly in the back or on their phone. They're always out of some ingredient. Half the time the food is cold. Today the rice was undercooked and crunchy, steak was cold, and queso was cold as well. The bottom of the bowl was even cold when handed to me. I took it back in and explained and the reaction I got was a dull "oh really" and then went to tell the line cooks. I'll go out of my way to never go to a chipotle again and find a QDOBA. read more

I tried to order a quesadilla they did not know how. They had no salsa no fajita veggies, not guacamole, the rice was crunchy. My server had no idea what she was doing. It looked like the drive thru had more options then the walk in. It was the worst experience I have ever had. I will never go back. Too bad Jersey Mikes wasn't open. OMG. 45 minutes to make 2 burritos? Really. After waiting 8 mins for someone to come to the drive thru window, I'm told my order I placed 45 mins ago is not ready. To update my previous review. I ate there today and they were quick, well-organized, and my meal was made perfectly.

I gave feedback of my disappointment and such online to the Chipotle group, and while they did not refund any charge, they added a BOGO entree reward. I love Chipotle just about anywhere else I've lived or visited. I want to be patient. I do. But I ordered AGAIN via the app. I ordered early in the day for a 4:30 pm pickup thinking I'd hit them in the sweet spot that wasn't so busy, and my food order would be correct. There was no one in the Chipotlane when I arrived just about 10 minutes early. The young man came to the window, the order was not ready (no big deal), and I explained I had a 4:30 pickup. I also said I was willing to wait to ensure my order was correct. He left. 10 minutes later, he came back and asked me my name again. He couldn't find my order. By now the Chipotlane is seeing some back up behind me. I showed him the order on my phone along with the pickup time. 10 more minutes waiting, asked me my name again, and left. After about 5 minutes, he brought the food to the window, but said they were out of sour cream. Ok, no big deal. I pulled out of the drive-thru lane and checked the order. It wasn't correct. Again. Expecting to see my order correct, this time I got steak, a normal rice portion, and tomato salsa. That's it. No cheese, no fajita veggies, no extra rice. This doesn't seem hard to me. I waited for 25 min. They had time to slow down and get it right. I even said I could pull off and wait to make sure that happened. This is beyond disappointing. This town needed some new restaurants, and Chipotle could be very successful here, but not if you have to go inside just to ensure your order is correct. I hope they work it out. I will order again on the BOGO reward on the last day it expires so it's not wasted, but I'm going to park and go inside, I guess. I'm not angry. Just disappointed. Again. read more

as a delivery driver for Grubhub, this restaurant is horrible. Doors are locked during business hours. Orders are 2-3 hours behind. on And on. I refuse to go there as do many of the delivery drivers. read more

I think they're trying to go out of business in the first 6 months. It is hard to imagine that a business that is run so well almost everywhere else can be so terrible at this location. I understand the staff are new and they need training. It is as if they are moving in slow motion with zero sense of urgency. The portions are consistently inconsistent. This has been my experience every time I've been here. And they have been out of a key ingredient at major meal times EVERY TIME I've been to this location. They have been out of chips, sour cream, guacamole, and one day they were out of the burrito. That's like McDonalds being out of French fries. I came in one time and they were only taking online orders. The first week they opened I waited inside with about 20 people in front of me and it took 60 minutes to get through the line...on a Friday at 7pm! One time the drive through was closed. They are so poorly managed I don't think they'll make it a year. It's a true disappointment from a business that is pretty well run at just about every other location I've ever been to across the country. read more

Worst ever. It will be a very long time before I go back there again so they will have time to get it together. Soft tortilla cold and hard. Chicken cold and SPARSE. (VERY LITTLE) Pinto beans I asked for extra and on one taco there were actually 2 beans, the others not much more and they were cold too. Very little fresh salsa but acceptable and red sauce was triple which ruined the already ruins. I pitched the entire order in the trash and chalked it up as a donation because I don't eat cold food or mess like that. Decided to go to El Puerto which is making up for that mess I waited to get. You all should be ashamed and if what I got today and the complaints I'm hearing and now reading on line, sad to say we won't have our Chipotle long here in Staunton,. I love Chipotle and have NEVER had a complaint as we eat in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville all the time and they as well as when in DC are consistent and portions and temperatures and quality is all the same. We were really excited about this chipotle opening and we're quickly disappointed. The first time we went was fine. The second time we came and they only accepted mobile orders even though the inside was open. So I placed an order which was going to take about an hour and then came back though the drive though to pick it up. Then the food wasn't all that great. But today the 3rd time was our last straw. I placed a mobile order (knowing since I had to do that last time) to be picked up at 12. When we showed up we noticed there was a long line though the drive though so I was just going to go inside and pick it up since they were supposed to be open. Well turns out they had the doors locked Bc why would they care about their customers. So we got in line and waited 20 mins without moving. Fed up and now having to leave to get other food and make sure I can get to work on time. After leaving and getting food somewhere else, we drove by and the line still hadn't moved. I called customer support to get a refund and he said it's up to the restaurant and I'll be emailed with a "resolution". We will NEVER be coming to this location ever again. If you don't have enough people to run a business then MAYBE you shouldn't be open. I know mind blowing information. read more
