Hopefully this isn't an everyday thing. The place smelled like a port-a-john. Service was good - nice & friendly but I just couldn't get over the smell. Sooooooo don't judge me but my first time ever in a Chick-fil-a restaurant. We hopped off Route 81 to get gas during our trip from CLT to Harrisburg and needed a quick stop at a place that is known for great chicken and customer service. This place operated by Jay Hawkins restaurant #03418 offered a delicious, moist, and flavorful spicy chicken sandwich, but more incredible were the staff! We happened upon this chic fil a at 8.. we were on the road. Drive in was mobbed and inside wasn't much better. We happened to be behind someone ordering 180 worth of food which meant our food was going to take forever. Not a huge issue.. but they ran out of lemonade half way thru their order so that ensued chaos. Just ugh. They only had one person on register so that also did not help the process. The manager was there but only paced back and forth to look busy. She definitely wasn't helping the employees with the rush. So no lemonade and no ice cream. They also only were taking credit card on this register. My child had chicken nuggets and was refusing to eat them. After feeding him everything else we tried them and they indeed were gross, like a burnt flavor to them. I went to get a refill on my beverage, no one in line, was pleasantly greeted by the cashier who rolled their eyes to get me another fill.. I did say please and thank you. she did say my pleasure. I expected more from chic fil a. I'm thankful this isn't my typical store because honestly I would never return. read more

Worst ever Chick-fil-A experience ever. I would have given them a pass if they had credited me for the cold fries and sandwich as agreed, but a review two weeks later they charged me the full amount with no credit. The good: chicken soup and lemonade. Can't go wrong. This I agreed to pay for. The bad: cold fries and high school attitude. The ugly: wasting 30 minutes waiting in the drive thru for them to "cook" fresh fries that they never did. They said since it was near closing time, they don't actually cook any fries. There was no warning when I placed the order that the fries would sit under a heat lamp and not be fresh. When I drove back up to the drive thru, they took the fries as if they were going to dispose of them and cook me a new batch. Nothing was said until I tried one. Same ole cold fries. They did prepare a new sandwich since the old one was cold by now. After I complained and wanted a refund, the lady huffed and puffed and talked to the manager. She said she would refund the sandwich and fries. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Had I known they would be the worst ever, I would not have stopped. At a minimum, I would not have wasted the 30 mins in the drive thru thinking they were helping me only to ignore me and close. We did go to the Chick-fil-A in Lexington, VA in the morning. That experience was more like normal. If you ever want to go to a Chick-Fil-A within 30 mins of closing time, DO NOT GO to THIS ONE!!! read more

Always a consistent meal, fast and delicious even though I always get the base Cobb salad. I'm not sure how they do it but it's like a "well oiled machine" and more businesses should run this way. I have to give a shout out to Charlie K..he is amazing..his helpfulness and smile are always so refreshing. Of course there is a Mr. Rogers in the dining room that really takes great pride in being present and on top of things!!! The cash cow ... oops the cash chik'in that is the CHICK-FIL-A experience held true once again at this busy (Aren't they all?) fast food chicken seller just off of I-81. To imagine that some in our traveling party wanted to eat gas station food ... SHEETZ ... not I. But as we drove past this location all we could see was a line of cars ... thankfully when we arrived there were a few parking spaces so in we went and what did our eyes discover? A perfectly clean and sparking fast food restaurant with some very pleasant people working behind the counters. Now, I will admit that the interior design of this location ran counter to all of the other Chick-Fil-A's I have visited (No, I am not a regular for a variety of reasons ...),which led to some confusion while searching for straws and napkins. But the service was fast, the food fresh tasing and hot. And, the van full of folks was happy. So, if you are in Staunton and a fan of Chick-Fil-A ... stop by you won't be disappointed but then again you could blink your eyes and this could be a Chick-Fil-A in Pittsburgh, PA. Give me local rather than formula food any time but still for doing it right, caring about the customers and keeping their place clean ... four stars. read more

This has to be a really new Chick-Fil-A! The concrete is fresh, the roads are shiny black, and the inside is almost picture perfect. They even have automatic trashcans with sensors built in so you don't have to hold open the trash door as you slide the stuff off your tray into the trash #SoFancy! Really, one of the only things that wasn't fantastic about my experience was the bathroom. There seems to be some sort of plumbing issue below the mens urinal. The floor was very wet, and I'm fairly certain it was from water. But yeah, customer service was wonderful as always. I downloaded the Chick-Fil-A app and got a free 8 piece grilled chicken nuggets #Score. The grilled chicken sandwich I got was top notch. I mean... honestly, the thing could have been put up on a plate for a menu picture. How many times can you say that what you got to eat looked almost EXACTLY like the menu picture. The condiment stations are HIGHLY manicured. Coffee creamers are stacked tidily in rows on top of rows. Everything is full and bright and easy to find. The only other small thing is... the Heinz ketchup packets tasted a little off to me. It was the fancy ones that look like little bottles and you can open on one side or tear off the top on the other. You know how you KNOW the taste of Heinz ketchup. Well, something tasted just a tad bit off to the point where I decided not to eat it further. Not sure how they would have spoiled, but somethin' ain't right. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Chick-fil-a stands above the pack on quality of food, customer service, and healthy options. It is my road trip food of choice. read more

First Chick fil a I went to where the drive thru had no line(should of been a red flag) Ordered and sat at the window for over 20 minutes waiting for two chicken sandwiches. Was told they were waiting on sandwich chicken. I'm not sure, but I don't think it takes 20 minutes to fry chicken. No apologies, and one employee came up and rudely asked " What are you waiting for?" I politely said what most people wait for at a drive through, their order. Finally got someone's attention and asked to cancel the order. She came over took my card and refunded it, without an apology, like this happens regularly. read more

The service is always outstanding @ the Harrisonburg location and the food is delicious. Finding a parking space can be challenging and the drive up is so busy it often winds up on the main road but it's worth the wait. I don't frequent the Staunton location. read more

This location is filthy. Stopped at 0900 for breakfast. Several people were on staff and there were only two customers besides us. Almost all the the tables were dirty and the bathroom was filthy. Not sure why no one on staff was cleaning the lobby or restrooms. read more

first off it took 4 minutes to order because the lady on the speaker in the drive thru would not stop talking and kept asking questions. second, i asked if they could make a half chocolate, half vanilla shake and they said yes. then we get up to the window and they have this huge explanation. and then said not we can't make it and didn't get an apology or anything. third, i asked for cfa sauce and ketchup, we got PLENTY of ketchup in the bag and no cfa sauce. very annoyed and now will not be eating my cfa till i get to another location to pick up sauce. read more

Chick-fil-A in Staunton messed up my order, they made a mistake and I understand that but they only offered to replace the missing item only. No compensation for my time, my gas or wear and tear on MY vehicle to fix their screw up. I've always loved the traditional sandwiches at Chick-Fil-A and never order anything else. This brand new restaurant didn't disappoint. I only have one complaint. I'm a part time school bus driver and I mostly take kids to extra-cirricular activities after school. I was transporting such a group yesterday evening and at the coach's request, we stopped here for dinner. It's a common thing for fast food joints to feed bus drivers and coaches for free when they bring a bus load of kids into the restaurant. I reckon they make their money on all the kids, and they figure that the driver and coaches make the decison on where to stop. As always, I politely asked the girl at the register if they fed drivers for free. She consulted her computer screen for a moment and told me they did not, so I ordered what I wanted and paid for it. Not comping drivers and coaches is absolutely the perogative of the owner/franchisee, I totally get that. But hey, Mr./Ms. Owner, virtually every other fast food place DOES comp us. Keep that in mind next time you see two buses full of hungry football players drive past your place and stop at Wendy's. read more
