She told me my total while they were still making my items, then walked away... as I stood at the register she can rolling past at the trash and stood in the back area (within my eyesight) and carried in a conversation with another out of sight employee. Another employee, seeing me standing at the register, looked back and tried to catch Shay's attention twice - with no success. Jeez, do I wish this place was better. I've been a Chipotle fan for years and consistently eat at this location 1-2 times a month. While I've never had an issue with the staff, I have had several issues with consistency. This applies both to the ingredients and how your order is made. I've had guacamole (easily the best thing about Chipotle) that's been incredibly fresh and I've had it be served to me a brown mushy mess that resembles something my 1 year old produced. I've had chips that were perfectly salty and crunchy and chips that were chewy and stale. I've had my protein piled high and I've had times were I've been lucky to get half a spoonful. Point is, I've had orders that were fantastically delicious and orders that were hugely disappointing. More often than not though it's been of a "yea, that was just an okay Chipotle experience." You just don't really know what kind of Chipotle experience you're going to get when you walk through the door and this has never been an issue when I have visited other locations. read more

Authentic Mexican Food? Why, because they say so? Go three miles west to Trevose to Peppi's Mexican Grille and you'll find authentic Mexican food. My biggest problem with Chipolte is the business model. Why does it take 15 people to make my taco? It's the most frustrating experience to have to order just a taco shell from one person, pick meat from another, rice or beans from the next, vegetables from the next and so on. I can't keep track of who is doing what to my order or if they are even listening to me. Subway has been making hoagies with one person for their entire existence and has been successful, Chipolte should take a hint. Not to mention the quantity of the food that goes into my tacos is always inconsistent. The ratio of meat to rice and other toppings is completely imbalanced. I want a carnitas taco, not a sour cream and lettuce taco. Finally the menu selection is so limited and they really don't offer anything that really has a WOW factor to make you deal with all the chaos. I have never been to a Chipotle before, I'm not inclined to run back either. It was impressive for a fast food establishment to see them cooking "real chicken" and vegetables in front of me...but the staff was not at all helpful in letting me know how this ordering process went. Like I said, this was my first Chipotle experience and I made that clear to the woman who began my order. I get it there is a big sign over my head explaining things, but a friendly oh welcome and this is how it works would have been nice. I ended up with a chicken bowl, of which I'm pretty sure I missed half of what I could have had in it because I was confused. Is there an extra charge for rice, sour cream, guac, salsas? I mean I saw what looked like corn salsa, could I have had that too? I was confused and I'm not one to ask questions. I'm going to let you in on a little secret: if you work nearby and want to grab a quick lunch without waiting in a super long line, order ahead online. The dude filling the pick-up orders has his own little table and he puts a little more love into making your tacos than the other line folk. Plus, when you walk in, you can just stroll right up to the register and he has his own register right there to the left. Bing, bango, lunch time at my desk because I'm a literal corporate slave. Yes I'm giving 4 stars to a Chipotle. This location is new, clean and the management and employees have their ish together. The lines (which can get long) move very quickly. They give excellent portions and even though they see lots of people on a daily basis, they remember your face and name when you come in. It's close to my office and it's a solid meal for a good price. My only real complaint is their large wooden structure with speakers. It seems out of place for the space. They also tend to have the music louder than a lunch place should but that's just me being nitpicky. I'm not a fan of the stools either at the communal tables in the winter. You're forced to sit on your jacket which is just uncomfortable. Other than those very minor comments, a good lunch choice in Trevose. read more

I am a huge fan of Chipotle. Seriously, over the past eleven years (which is when I first discovered the chain) I've been to a Chipotle at least once a week. So, it truly pains me to have to give one a poor review. As far as taste goes, this Chipotle is actually one of the better ones I've been to. The three times I've been, the salsa was fresh, rice was fluffy, and the meat was nicely seasoned. HOWEVER, two of the three times I've been, my stomach has gotten really upset. My order at Chipotle is always the same, save alternating my meat choice--I get white rice, pinto beans, carnitas or barbacoa, all four salsas, and lettuce. My stomach has been digesting this stuff since 2003. This is the only Chipotle that has made me sick. And as I said, it happened twice. Yeah, I love Chipotle so much that I went back after it messed me up the first time. I didn't want to admit my beloved bowl did me wrong. On top of the stomach cramps that had me down for quite some time, the service leaves something to be desired. I naturally say please and thank you to everyone that helps me. I've never heard anyone say it back, but that's probably because they didn't hear me--they're too busy talking to their work buddies. I don't mind people having conversations at work, but it shouldn't be so extensive that the customer feels that they're interfering if they ask for a cup of extra salsa. If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would. I want to start off with the food is obviously great, but staff and restaurant are extremely disgusting, rude, unfriendly, and dirty.. Every time I go in here they put only 5 pieces of chicken into my bowl and when I ask for more they charge it as a double.. they are way over priced and stingy.. This is one of the most poorly managed chipotle by far. The staff is the worst and it's clear they don't want to be there. They are extremely rude for no reason. Clearly there is no pride in the workplace and the management must really be bad since the turnover at this location is so high. It's a brand new staff every time I am in here. Been here many times over the years, and is actually better then other chipotles in the area. 3 stars today. 8,9,10 bucks has always been a bit much for the amount of food you get. But it seems like the portion is shrinking and the price goes up. That said, the food is good and seems to be of quality. I'm sure I'll come again and give a 4 star. Let me start this off my saying that I would eat at this chipotle twice a week. Not anymore! First the lines are ridiculous!! It was never like this and now every time I show up there is a 10-15 wait and the line is out the door! Meanwhile you have 10 employees back there and only 3 making food. Okay so I went as I always do this past Friday, the line again trough the door. I needed my burrito so I waited as usual. I get up to the line and order my food. I order white rice with my burrito and I'm told they were out. I looked at the lady like how are you out of rice?? This is a Mexican restaurant with the line out the door. So anyway I had to have brown rice, no biggie. I continue my order and toward at the end, the employee, Kate or Katie, puts a hole in my burrito. She says holding it up, is this ok? I looked at her like she had 3 heads and asked her if she would eat that. I asked her if she could rewrap it. She did but not how i asked. All she did was complain about how hot it was and double wrapped the burrito. Also $2.00 charge for guac and I barely got any. It was terrible! It was so thick and I could not eat it. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla, I not even kidding when I say it was raw. The cheese wasn't melted! We had our order to go, so I didn't notice until we got home. I will not be returning! I am a connoisseur of Chipotle. I've been a member of every customer appreciation group, even got my MBA there (Master Burrito Ambassador). Many Chipotles are crammed into small spots in busy shopping centers, where parking and customer flow are very tight. This is not one of those Chipotles. It is surrounded by open space and has ample parking. Why then is it literally the worst-designed Chipotle I have ever had the misfortune to enter? The line for ordering goes right through where people are sitting to eat. There is no bench seating (to my kids dismay). This may be a three-star Chipotle location, but compared to the Red Robins, McDonalds, and Cracker Barrel abominations in the vicinity let's bump it up a star, shall wee? The food is consistently good for a Chipotle, and they have all the ingredients available, no need to worry about a dearth of sofritas, etc. I have found the ingredients fresh, no wilted lettuce or brown avocado, and as usual you can see them cooking up the chicken on the grill. The staff is friendly, especially the day manager, and there is a positive energy to the place. A few caveats are in order, this space is loud. Think communal dining in an upscale cafeteria in terms of decibels! There tends to be a line around lunch, but that's a good sign, and the orders move fast. I don't like that not only the kitchen is exposed, but rather some of the storage space is in view. I don't care to see boxes upon boxes of cartons, cups, and other assorted detritus. Finally, there is an outdoor seating area, but considering the view is of a parking lot and a wall blocking the adjacent McDonalds, I'd as much rather eat inside and people watch. read more

I've been to pretty much every Mexican fast food place in my surrounding area and I've been to about two dozen or so authentic Mexican places in Jersey, Philly, and NY. There's only two Chipotles that are remotely close to me and both are in areas that I rarely go to. So this was my first time having Chipotle. I've been hearing a few close friends talk about it and crave for it for a couple years now. So coincidentally, I started craving it too. When I pulled up, I could clearly see that the line was almost out the door. I said to myself, f' that! And was about to leave. But then my inner fat boy told me that maybe the line's that long because the food's so good... Boy was I wrong. Smh... Part of the reason the line was long is because the layout is horrible. You place your order in the right corner of the restaurant, so naturally, the line is gonna back up in the direction of the entrance. The tables are huge and bulky, so they take up room that eliminated any chance of them putting a maze for the line. Sadly, from what I read in a lot of other reviews, this is a major problem. As for the line is always to/ out the door. Aside from that, the place felt like a military dining hall. Four really long tables with slide up chairs/ stools on both sides. They definitely could have went with smaller tables that not only would that have been more comfortable, but it probably would have made more space available as well. They did have outdoor dining, and the space seemed pretty large. But they didn't have that many tables out there. As for the food, other than a couple of burger places that I've been to, I can't remember the last time that I went to a resturant that had such a limited menu. The thing that pissed me off most is that they don't have nachos or quesadillas. Most people say this place is hit or miss for the portions, depending on who's making your food. But luckily, my portions were pretty large... Everything was super fresh. I had 2 chicken hard tacos, 1 steak taco, and a beef burrito that had some serious weight to it. The taste was good, but it could have been a lot better if they offered more toppings. Seems like they only had half the amount of toppings that Qdoba and Moe's have... And to add to that, they don't have any signatures sauces or dishes. Qdoba has a 4 cheese sauce and a chipotle bbq sauce that are to die for. And I believe Moe's has even more. Anyways, by the time I finished eating, the line had extended from the door to across the front of the restaurant. That kind of ruined my dinning experience because I felt like my personal space was being invaded. The line was seriously 2 feet away from me and I felt like everybody was all up in my plate. I'm not biased at all and I was super excited to try Chipotle. I'll give them the benifit of the doubt this this particular was just bad and I'm willing to try another location. So until that happens, I love Qdoba and when I need to switch it up, I'm perfectly happy with going to greasy as Taco Bell and getting "horse meat" Mexican food. read more

I have been to this chipotle location a few times, and agree with the other reviews. When compared to other chipotles the portions at this one is smaller. I always order the burrito bowl thou the food taste the same as other chipotles the portion is about a fourth less. The lines here always seems long. Normally at other chipotles the line thou long moves pretty fast, here it moves slow which is torture because you smell the food and just want to eat it. I try not to come here anymore so I don't recommend it, but sometimes it is hard to rid yourself of chipotle craving and there is no other option in the area. read more

Ok so I totally understand that with Covid they have gone digital only to protect there employees however nine times out of ten the order is wrong not to mention the time promised for the order to be ready never happens. If I hadn't checked my order and just left I would have had no dressing for my salad. I'm a big fan of Chipotle's food. And the food here (taste wise) is pretty up to Chipotle standards. However, the service at this particular chain is horrendous. The lines are ALWAYS wrapped around the restaurant, no matter what time of day. I attribute this to the employees being more concerned with socializing with one another than doing their job. The last time I was there, the guy who was putting the salsa on my tacos was looking backwards at someone else, talking -- getting salsa EVERYWHERE. Then, the lady behind me in line was getting a burrito and while the girl was rolling it up, tore the tortilla down the middle... She proceeded to ask the lady if that was ok and looked annoyed when the lady responded with "could you rewrap it?" In an effort to save time waiting at the restaurant, we have tried online ordering but the experience is just as bad. You stand at the register like a goon for 10 minutes before you are acknowledged and of course the order is never ready when promised (not even started). I'm also fairly certain they only read half of the order ticket because my order has never been correct, and we have done online ordering at least 3 times. You have your food and it's time to check out and the person at the register acts like you're an inconvenience to them because they have to turn away from their conversation to ring you out.. Again, the last time I was there the guy was talking to someone else the whole time and didn't even tell me how much my order was... This is a hard one. I was always interested in trying this place, but balked at the long lines. I would drive by and see tons of people waiting to order their food. One day a little after normal lunchtime, I had some extra time and the line wasn't running out the door. I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how fast the line moved. Getting up to the head of the line for a first-timer was a little intimidating because there seems to be a correct way to order and if you don't know exactly what you want when you get to the head of the line, both the employees and the customers behind you get annoyed. The food was pretty good. Nothing to jump up and down about, but OK. A bit pricey for what you get, I think. I absolutely did not like the way the seating was set up. Long benches and no place really to sit by yourself or with someone else without being elbow-to-elbow with some stranger while eating your lunch. I am not anti-social, but I prefer a little more personal space. Also the whole vibe of the place was very hectic. Not really conducive to a relaxing lunch, which is important to me since I already have a stressful enough day. read more

It is usually pretty crowded here during prime meal times but the line moves quickly and I really do like my barbacoa burrito with a mix of black and pinto beans and cilantro rice topped with plenty of corn salsa, cheese, extra grilled veggies, and just a dollop of sour cream. They don't skimp on ingredients here, which is much appreciated, and the staff are friendly. Plus, they actually get my online order right, which makes life much easier for me! I definitely like it more than On the Border. The food itself is about the same as that at any other Chipotle but then again, Chipotle is the best burrito chain, which means that it's pretty damn good. So, we've been going to this Chipotle for a really long time. In my opinion, this is an excellent Chipotle. The service is on point, they're very fast, food is good, and the staff is always pleasant. Also, they never seem to be short staffed, which I've experienced at other locations, such as the ones in Oxford Valley and Wayne. It's conveniently located off of Route 1 by the turnpike entrance, so it's a great stop to make if you're hungry. Overall, this is probably the best Chipotle in the area and I highly recommend it. read more
