Literally the first review I have ever left for an establishment in my life. Just ate lunch here and asked if I could buy an extra salsa to take home with me on my way out. The extremely nice girl behind the counter said no need to pay and offered the salsa for free. I profusely thanked her and turned to leave when what I guess was a manager asked me if I wanted anything else for free, such as a tomato or some cheese. He was clearly mocking me although I did not request the salsa for free in the first place. No need for it and I cannot for the life of me figure out what I did to deserve it. read more

WTF are these kids doing in here? I mean, really?! Are they competing to see who's the first to get fired? Are they using reverse psychology on the customers to get us to never come back? Are they coming a new season of Punk'd? What the hell is going on?! I don't think a slower, lazier, ratchet-er Chipotle exists in America. There were FOUR people ahead of me last time I was here, and it still took 20 minutes for me to order and pay...and that's with SIX people working behind the counter. Now, the kids working here are loud, lazy and ratchet as hell, but I will admit that they're pretty nice. I've never received attitude from them. The inside is always dirty, there's always more kids loitering, the hot sauces are always missing and you have to use a "secret code" to get into the bathroom. Oh yeah, and there is always a security guard inside watching people like a hawk. Sometimes the rice is hard and sometimes the meat is undercooked. I never thought I would be giving Chipotle one star. I found the restaurant (especially the counter where they prepare the food) in need of cleaning, the staff had something else on their mind other than customer service, the chicken was severely burnt and the steak was way to spicy (note not the salsa, but the actual meat). I dont mind spicy food, however, I should not have to take several breaks when eating my burrito just because it was unbelievably spicy. Lips on fire spicy. Eventually I could not taste anything other than a burning spice sensation in my mouth and my burrito wasnt enjoyable. When I complained I was told first by the cashier then by the manager that this is the way the steak burrito is supposed to taste. I wasnt offered a new burrito nor my money back. I wont be visiting this Chipotle again unless they hire a new manager and staff. read more

Reading the other reviews on here and I completely agree. Used the online ordering service, and when I got there, the flustered girl at the cash register told me, "your order is being started on now"...silly me for thinking the online system was for getting your food ahead of time. I will give the cashier kudos though she asked me if I wanted a drink of water while I waited...so cute. So the assembly line starts making my order... then that's where the fun begins...(blatant sarcasm). Flustered cashier then gives me the news that they are out of fajita veggies, she asks me if I would like to cancel my order, I decline, I can live without the veggies today. So then flustered cashier informs me that they are currently out of cheese, and it would take five minutes to shred some more...WTH!?? Green peppers and red onions I can do without, but damn if I'm going to give up my cheese!!! I'm in a catch 22 now, and I'm forced to wait..... The line is building up now and I'm resisting the urge to scream "Run!!! They have no ingredients!" After fifteen minutes, the cheese is finally shredded, and the mass of black beans have soaked through my recycled "to go" bowl. Me and the other cheese waiters just looked at each other confused. The store was out of utensils, out of napkins and the lids were two seconds to being gone. It's amazing how a staff of ten plus people can fail to be on top of the ingredient. I mean its not like they have an elaborate menu, every thing can be made from those ingredients on the station. Needless to say, I will making the hike to Union Station's Chipotle from now on. I will admit I had was slightly apprehensive when I made my lunch hour trek to this Chipotle, but I figured that Chipotle is Chipotle. I am happy to report to "Heidi" (see review below) that this Chipotle has gotten their s#*t together. First off, despite it being lunch hour during the week, the decent sized line in front of me lasted no more than 5 minutes, an acceptable Chipotle wait time. The staffer greeted me pleasantly, and then proceeded to give me TWO, yes I repeat TWO, scoops of rice without even a request for extra. Furthermore, what really impressed me was when SHE asked ME if I wanted fajitas in my chicken burrito. I have been to Chipotles across the country for a combined 200+ visits and I always have to specifically request the fajitas as they usually jump straight from the beans to my chicken. What a pleasant surprise to not have to interrupt a speedy burrito maker and demand fajitas. On a similar note, the salsa staffer asked if I wanted lettuce in my burrito, which I have also never encountered in my veteran Chipotle experience. The overall order - pay time was only about 3 minutes, which is only slightly longer than a typical Chipotle burrito obtaining process, and I would attribute most of that extra time to polite questions and greetings from the staff. To top it off, the burrito tasted its usual Chipotle greatness. The meat was well cooked and marinated, and the extra rice made this burrito even more filling than usual. You may be wondering why I am not giving this Chipotle a 5 star review. That's because the building (or room) is smaller than a Chipotle burrito, and I would never want to eat inside that place. read more

i made a order online and i selected a large bag of chips and 3 tortillas on the side with my two entrees... when my food arrived, it was really cold and they didn't give me my chips nor the tortillas!!! like seriously wtf, lame chipotle and i don't recommend this place in this area, garbage service, y'all can make burritos but can't give me my tortillas?? crazy af smh read more

UGHHHHHH.. i work in MD, and normally hit up chipotle during LUNCH RUSH HOUR where the lines are at least 20 deep and never wait more than 5 minutes for my food.. this chipotle is GOD AWFUL. the lines are super slow, even when there's less than 5 people in front of me it still takes me at least 15 minutes to order and pay. Don't go after school hours, the kids take over the place and eat bags of chips on the tables.. then when the security guard ask for them to get something they get up and get chips and dip for the entire table of 6. In addition, the customers/children cut you, are disrespectful and loud.... super sad panda. still taste like chipotle though. read more

I have been consistenly disappointed in this place, although I guess I shouldn't be. The service has been consistenly bad, they do not follow instructions on orders that are submitted online, and their meats seem to be consistently undercooked. This is a poorly run establishment that slides by on its name, I was hoping that maybe the opening of District Taco would cause them to work to improve their product, but I seem to be very wrong. Ordered two bowls one burrito via phone app, WHEN I GOT HOME, ALL THREE ORDERS WERE WRONG! I live 15 minutes from this place. Cashier told me that they don't have cup for water & I can't use soda cup for water. I go to Chipotle a lot where I live (Fairfax, VA). This Chipotle just opened by my work and I was excited to try it out. I have a pretty good idea of how the burritos should be made and this location skimped on the main ingredients. I only got a half scoop of rice, a half scoop of beans, and a half scoop of meat. The next lady gave me lettuce even though I didn't ask for it. She had it wrapped up before I could even say anything. This was, by far, the smallest burrito I have ever gotten at Chipotle. I asked the cashier why they were skimping on the ingredients. He told me it was due to it being located in SE DC. What does that even mean? When I sat down to eat my puny burrito I found that some of the ingredients were ice cold. This was the worst burrito I have ever gotten at Chipotle. If I could I would give it 0 stars. If I want a burrito at work I'll be eating at chicken tortilla from now on. read more

chipotle cravinggsss!!! went during lunchtime on a monday. line wasn't too long - fewer than 10 ppl. as other reviewers note - well rant - this place's service is a bit slow. irritating? probably. but whatever. at least the portions are generous! i love chipotle & the burrito bowls here are just as awesome as the other locations. what actually gets me about this spot is just the vibe. its LESS welcoming, bright, & spacious than other chipotles. i'd totally return for a to-go order, but would never want to actually eat here. I made the poor assumption that since this is Chipotle it should automatically be good...I was very wrong. Everything on my veggie bowl was bland. It seems as if the didn't use seasonings on anything! The cilantro lime rice tasted like plane old rice. Even the guacamole lacked luster and that's a first for me. It's a Chipotle, most everyone knows what to expect from the food. The service is what makes a store stand out, and this one has it. Overall, it's one of the smaller stores in the area, being on Barrack's Row, so sometimes the line can be long and there won't be anywhere to sit. But it's nice to have it in the neighborhood whether you eat in or just carry it over to the park or your house. read more

Store associates are a mix of some polite while others don't give a care in the world. My experience last night included a frustrated worker that walked away mid food line, came back after a minute on her phone, walked away for another minute and came back, half heartedly wiped the table, clocked out and sat down. All while the line is 15 people deep waiting for the orders to be processed... At her abandoned station. When we started asking if anyone worked there, the cashier and someone that looked like a manager just shrugged. One worker even made her own burrito while ignoring everyone. This place is always packed! But the line typically moves pretty well. The service is not great but they pack on the food, not really controlling portion which is fine by me. Its a tiny spot, and certainly not as fast as some of the bigger chipotles that are used to the huge volume, but their customer service really gets it right. My first time here, they were out of crispy tacos shells, so I just didnt get anything and was definitely bummed. My second time, they had two crispy shells, so I did 2 crispy and 1 soft taco. I joked about the previous visit and said that I was moving up, next time there would be 3! The man taking the orders was super nice and mentioned immediately to another employee (who I later found out was the manager). I wasn't upset at all - just joking and laughing - and I came to find out they gave me my meal for free! All of the staff I encountered were great. When this location originally opened the staff and service was amazing. In the last few weeks I've been to this Chipotle the staff has been everything but professional. While carrying on unnecessary conversations at check out, to the non communication you get from those behind the glass preparing your meal. Then when it's completed I've had the cashier just push the bowl across the counter at me as if I'm bothering them by coming in. I hope this doesn't continue I live and work in this area and would like to be able to eat too. read more
