Ordered from here a few times since we moved to the area. Salsas and cheese sauce are very watered down. Nacho cheese fries with shredded chicken was sitting in, what I assume, watery cheese sauce, and resembled soup. We are new to the area and have been relying on Yelp and Google reviews for restaurant suggestions. I am so glad that I gave this Mexican restaurant a try. The fact that it's beside a gas station doesn't bother me. Some of the best food experiences are in unassuming places like this. I ordered online. When I entered, the restaurant was very clean, tables spaced according to Covid regulations, and was greeted with a smile. It took less than ten minutes to get to the restaurant, but my food was being bagged when I arrived. You can't beat that. We had the Chicken Chimichanga, the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla, and Cheese Quesadilla. All three were fresh, prepared very quickly, and delicious. Actually, this is some of the best we've had. I have been coming to chips and cheese for a few years now, the food is hit or miss, sometimes decent sometimes terrible, bad enough that I haven't been back for months until today. The cashier today was dismissive and rude, then when I tried to buy a drink they refused to sell me one unless I paid in cash, I will not go back and will tell anyone to not waste your time or money here, there are better options minutes away that will let you get a drink with your food read more

I couldn't believe how bright and color and CLEAN and amazing everything looked. I mean omg it's just not what you'd expect for being next door to a gas station. Like walking into their own little world. I could try and pick around and nitpick as much as possible to the point of being so impressed that I tried to look for SOMETHING I could say I didn't like - but alas, it doesn't exist here. It's crazy. They employees are just absolutely epic. The service is faster than a frickin' NASCAR pit stop and the food is amazing. My god, what more could you possibly want? I'm a very blunt reviewer and I've got to say...not many get this from me but this is absolutely a five star restaurant. I see no need to even review anything individually as I usually do because everything so far has in fact actually been five stars. Would you believe that they actually know how to season the food properly too? Talk about a diamond in the rough, this place is incredible and a must if you're in the area. What a gem for a "hole in the wall." I think because the restaurant shares a building with a gas station, I just assumed it was a dump! Then my sister who lives in Greenville tells me it is her favorite Mexicans restaurant & she drives to this area just to eat there. The restaurant is only a few miles from my home now & we love it! Super courteous staff. From the jump was not impressed because chips were pretty stale. That is a first chance to make a good impression food wise and it did not. I ordered 3 street tacos (soft corn tortillas) with different meats. All 3 had great flavor but the amount of meat in each was a bit chincy. We went here for a quick bite to eat for dinner. The place was clean and the service was great. They had a very large menu with a lot of the usual choices.
