We love Mario's! Can't believe I have not posted a review yet when we have dined many times. The first time was memorable for sure. It was the day Hurricane Helene ripped across the upstate. Power lines were down, people were scrambling, most places did not have power. We stumbled upon Mario's. Mario himself was running around with a limited staff and one cook serving locals. Not only was the food delicious, Mario and his staff were kind and friendly even with wall to wall people trying to find normalcy in something as simple as dining out. Over time we have tried different things. My favorite is the Taco Surpremed with shredded chicken, the house guacamole is great, we love to add some of the habanero hot sauce (green one) to it for extra kick. Service was excellent the sauce that they serve for the chips you get a mild and you get a pretty good spicy. I ordered a chimichanga with steak with the volcano sauce. Unfortunately the rice and beans that came with it were cold but the chimichanga itself was temperature hot that is seriously my only complaint I like all my food hot temperature wise. I will definitely be back to try the fajitas. read more

I've been here several times and have always loved it, until today. A friend and I stopped by there. There were 2 other occupied tables in the restaurant. A young lady, Bri, sat us and took our drink order. After a while of sitting there, our drinks arrived. We ordered a large cheese/bean dip. She came. Ask with a small one. I explained that we had ordered a large one and she said that it was. My friend explained to her that the large comes in a bowl. She left with it. A few minutes later, a young man arrived and asked if we were ready to order. We explained what had just happened and he apologized, saying he would look into it. Then, she brought out the correct item. I ordered a shredded chicken taco salad and 2 beef, hard-shelled tacos so I could take home. Shortly, our food had arrived. She put the plates down and walked away quickly. When I began to mix the shredded chicken taco salad up, I saw there there was only 1 piece of chicken and it wasn't shredded and about the size of a half dollar coin. I put it to the side and summoned her back over. I showed it to her and she apologized and said she would get them to remake one. She took it away, I looked at the tacos and they didn't contain beef, rather shredded chicken. I sat that to the side. The young man came back to see if we needs anything and I showed him the Travis and explained what happened with the taco salad. He apologized and said he'd take off tacos off of the bill for the issues we had. Both the young lady and man were never rude or unpleasant. Before we left, I went to the restroom to wash my hands. There was fecal matter, smeared on the floor, from the sink to the urinal, not toilet. It was also on the urinal. After seeing this and being disgusted, I turned away and left the restroom. I immediately reported thus to the young man and he apologized and we back to wiping down the bar. We explained it to the young Kacy that served us as she was at the register and she too apologized. We asked about discounting those tacos like he said and she said they don't discount food. We won't ever be back. read more

Do yourself a favor and eat here! They treat you like family from the minute you walk in, they have amazing food and their prices can't be beat! We started coming here a while back and we are REGULARS now! Jessica knows our order and has known it from our second visit. She treat our kid like she is hers and is so sweet! We went in today for a nice dinner and was treated horribly . We are regulars and have been having issues with the waitresses being rude and not filling the tea. Bur we kept coming back because it was good food. So, today we were harassed by the waitress , saying we didn't pay for a salsa a month ago!?! Then added 8.00 to my bill for it !? and stated we couldn't leave until it was paid!?! We talked to know Mario and he didn't seem to care and his wife is the manager there and she didn't seem to care her waitress was harassing over a salsa ?! Amd to to mention I swallowed a tie from a bag that was in my salsa and almost choked , told Mario as well and didn't apologize or etc Never again !!!!!! read more

Wow! This is now my favorite restaurant for Mexican food. Four of us had dinner together and everything was absolutely amazing. The menu offered some innovative alternatives to the typical fare you see at most Mexican food establishments. Further, each of our meals tasted great. Our test -- Would you order it again? -- got a yes answer from all of us. The service was terrific too. Mario even came over to say hello and check that all was to our satisfaction. Impressive! The last thing that made us happy was that we were seated quickly. On a Friday night. Now, i recognize that may not continue to be true as people discover this place, but it was a nice treat. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of seating. Bottom line? Go here and give it a try. You will likely want to return. read more

Mario's is much bigger than it looks from the outside. This newly renovated space looks really good. Bright colors, fun decor, and mood setting music. This staff is THE FRIENDLIEST staff ever. I've been twice now and everyone is always smiling, helping their co-worker out, and going above and beyond. I ordered the choripollo. It's so much food and sooooo good. I love the grilled pineapple on top. This will be our New Mexican place for sure. read more

This was our first visit after driving past it too many times. Inside the restaurant is bright and fun, the staff is very friendly and attentive.
