Everything is fresh, wholesome, and intentionally made. You can tell they care about the food they're serving and the people they're serving it to. For the longest time, I couldn't stop ordering the turkey pesto sandwich because it was that good. Once I finally started trying other menu items, I realized it wasn't just one great sandwich. Everything I've had has been delicious. The coffee and tea are exceptional as well. Manteca is so lucky to have a place like Bean & Leaf. This morning, my husband and I visited, and we were somewhat disappointed with the quality of our orders. He ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk, while I ordered an oat milk latte with an extra shot of espresso at a temperature of 200 degrees. He also selected a ham, cheese, and egg croissant, and I opted for a bacon and cheese croissant. Regrettably, the items did not meet our expectations. The beverages lacked the desired strength; although the temperature was correct, I was informed after placing our order that they were out of oat milk and had to substitute it with almond milk. Given that we had already paid approximately $30, this was quite disappointing. Despite these concerns, we did not request a discount or refund, and we accepted the substitution that was communicated to us approximately 10 to 15 minutes after placing our order. On a positive note, the staff were very courteous, and the establishment was clean. However, I suspect that the items we ordered may not represent the best offerings on their menu. While the service was commendable, there was a notable wait involved. It would have been preferable to have been informed of the oat milk shortage prior to payment, as we might have chosen to leave at that point. Unfortunately, our dissatisfaction led us to seek alternative options, and we subsequently drove to Stockton to visit Peet's Coffee, where we consistently find lattes prepared to our liking. While we may not return to this location, I do not wish to portray it negatively. It is clear that the establishment has potential, yet our experience did not align with our expectations.

SCENE: Located at the corner of W. 11th Street and East Street, Isabel's Cafe now occupies the old Sandwich Spot location. RECOMMENDATION(S): Awesome food! Highly recommended. The only negative I had was, unlike Sandwich Spot where you could watch your sandwich being made, Isabel's doesn't have that option. Everything is prepared in the back, away from the customers.

Love this cafe! The whole atmosphere is awesome, it looks like one of those little coffee shops you see on tv or in a magazine. Employees are always friendly, it's always really clean and busy! It's a good thing, trust me! It's worth the wait, the sweets are so good! The cinnamon rolls are HUGE AND DELICIOUS. I've told everyone I know to try them. My family loves scones and every time I stop by, there's always a variety to choose from. The cherry chocolate chip and strawberry scones are my fave. Haven't tried their food yet but I'm going to. Coffee...it was good. I had a vanilla latte and I liked that it wasn't really sweet like they are at Starbucks. My family is a big fan and i hope they're around for awhile. The veggie bagel was easily the best I've had. They used a sauce I couldn't quite identify, but it made the whole thing stand out. I ate around 10:30 a.m., and it kept me full until about 8 p.m., which almost never happens for me. I also ordered an iced caramel macchiato. It tasted like a traditional macchiato, not overly sweet or artificial like what you might get at Starbucks. The space itself is very cute, with thoughtfully decorated seating and an open layout that feels bigger than it looks from the outside. Just opened today! When you first walk in you are dragged by the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls and coffee. Has a very nice home feel and they great you with smiles as soon as you walk in the door!
