Third time visit. 1st thing gonna say, nice people, nice place. 1st impression of the food is pricy when you look at the manu, for a noodle soup $15 is kinda crazy, especially you know what you can get from other restaurants for a order of 15, and don't even mention it's really small amount, if I want to spend $30 on the food to feed myself, I will expect more. sushi here was pretty good. Ordered spring rolls, taste not bad. But one awkward thing is the source is the same as you can get from Macdonalds. I mean even it is the same source, but don't you think it will at least feel better to serve it in a little bowl? It's almost like I'm dinning in a high end Italian restaurant, but the food I got is a pizza in a paper box like dominos. Overall 3 stars, no issues for one time visit, decent place. When this restaurant opened it was one of my favorite ramen places. Since the name change the quality has started to dwindle gradually, but to today I order some ramen and they gave me a tablespoon of broth. I get some ppl don't like broth, but I think that the least you could do is make it an option or talk to the customer. I probably won't be ordering from there anytime soon. read more

My wife and I pass this place all the time near the mall and always wondered about it. We finally went in because my wife was in the mood for onigiri and we saw they had it. It came and it was so good we wanted more. We also got red bean dim sum which was also delicious along with the ramen. The prices we very reasonable and staff friendly. Only thing holding it back from 5 stars is it seemed like they brought the food out whenever they wanted not all at the same time. They brought my wife's ramen out like 5 minutes before mine. I usually order through DoorDash from here. Sometimes I get ramen, other times I may get sushi or some appetizers. Most of the time everything tastes pretty good. Today I decided to treat myself to some more expensive sushi rolls. I got the soft shell crab roll. I asked for no cucumbers and still got them. The crab tasted rotten and left a nasty taste in my mouth. I ended up throwing the whole roll away. It was a $16 roll that I wasted my money on. I also had another roll that had california roll inside and eel on top. It didn't taste great but wasn't awful. My stomach has been feeling awful since I ate their sushi. read more

This restaurant is a little on the pricer side (at the mall) but the food was really good. Our party had the inferno ramen, the Shanghai rice noodles (similar to mei fun), house fried rice (similar to yong chow) and the Singapore Lo mein. All of these were very delicious and lived up to their names. The inferno was very full of flavor and quite spicy. The rice noodles were also spicy but built up over time. The location meun was a little larger noodle but was very tasty and cooked we'll. Even the rice was good but out of all of the dishes it was just ok. I will have yo try another rice dish sometime to see the differances. I did find the noodles and rice were exceptionally better after a couple of hours (took some with me to work for dinner). Oh, as you can surmise, you get a lot of food. I feel that this restaurant is definitely worth putting up with the traffic and parking for return visits. read more

They were but pricey for what you get $14 a bowl and there was not much meat( 3 pieces pork belly ) or noodle . We all know noodles are cheap atleast load up some more noodle . Very disappointed of this place. We are returning customers and had a take out order on Monday. The total was $33.30, but my credit card was charged $39.96 the next day, which means THEY ADDED 20% TIPS ON OUR BILL WITHOUT PERMISSION. We did not tip because we went to there to pick up and they always call my husband a girl name. I guess they attached the wrong phone number, but they don't try to fix it. This's definitely a SCAM, and I don't believe we are the only victims. Do yourself a favor. If you go there recently, check your card statement to make sure they didn't charge extra money. I was disappointed to find that they have changed their menu to be heavy on Japanese food. They also removed the sweet potato fries, which was immensely sad. Salt and pepper aren't available on the tables anymore to mix into the classic Taiwanese pepper salt seasoning for fried foods. When we asked for salt and pepper, we got paper packets instead. The shift in focus away from Taiwanese food is to the detriment of the overall quality of the food. Popcorn chicken, which previously was very acceptable, is now tasteless. Spicy wontons were curiously soggy and seemed like an attempted compromise between Taiwanese style wontons and Szechuan style wontons and ended up tasting like nothing at all. The only items that tasted acceptable were those that were likely entirely store-bought/frozen - the char siu pork buns and the green onion pancakes. Anything that relied upon the chef was seasoned incorrectly. I am disappointed that they changed the menu to suit the faux Japanese preferences of the non-Asian population. If you had leaned harder into carrying out Taiwanese food properly, the word-by-mouth among the Taiwanese and Chinese students and families would have led this to be a great local establishment known for authentic Taiwanese food. read more

Food: Was not all that tasty; what I went there for (dim sum), they kept making excuses about how long it would take to make it. Apparently, they had a dim sum period and I missed it, even though it's on the menu it never made it to my plate. My main problem with my food was it wasn't hot and spicy as advertised. The manager came around asked how everything was and I told her I wanted my food to be hot and spicy as advertised in the menu, and she started making excuses as to why they don't make it very hot and that I could use the chili pepper condiments that they had to help it get hotter?!! I explained what's the point of advertising something hot, if you're not going to make it hot? Furthermore, I came out to eat, some professional is supposed be making this meal blending it properly to give it the proper heat and flavor desired. Typically, when I think of Chinese food at the mall, the food court or a mall chain like PF Chang comes to mind. So...I wasn't sure what to make of this new restaurant chain. We checked it out and the food was pretty good. We kept it simple with scallion pancakes and the veggie dumplings. The scallion pancakes had a different texture than I am used to - they were good. Wasn't that great. Whoever was cooking in the back made a completely different ramen than what was asked for by my bf. My ramen was so bland I did bother to finish it. The dumplings were fine but tasted like the kind you just steam from the freezer section of the Asian market in newark. The service was very friendly but I didn't know who was my actual waiter/waitress. I will give this place another shot later and I'll go for the buns that everyone praises maybe some tea or boba. This spot is the real deal. Pork bond sweet, fluffy and flavorful. Pork fried rice had generous portions of pork and the rice was fried to perfection. Not greasy at all.
