Honestly can't say anything else other than yum. The service is a bit bare but they definitely the job done and the food makes up for it. It's hard to beat the flavor at Cho Dang. I love their Korean short rib and soft tofu soup! The insane looks like you're really stepping into a comfy food spot in Korea.

We came right before the dinner rush hour (4pm) and there was plenty of seating. It's one of our favorite Korean places when we're in the area and the food doesn't disappoint. We ordered the dinner combos and my absolute favorite were the spicy crabs. Slightly pricey but worth it once a while! Overall a family friendly shop with neat Korean decor.

Need to bring this to Chicago! One of my favorite places to get soondubu in the country! The spice level was just right and hits the spot every time I come here. I'm seriously considering moving to Dallas because of this restaurant LOL Definitely recommend getting the seafood soondubu! I also tried the bibimmyeon and it tastes so authentic! Can't wait for the next time I'm back~

Took my childhood buddy here to experience Korean food-- the side dishes were great and we split the bibimbap and spicy pork bulgogi. We left satisfied and need to try the stews here next time. Till next time Dallas. Cheers!

Excellent food and variety! I have been here numerous times and its hands down the best Korean tofu soup. The tofu is made in house and you can taste the quality of the dishes especially the banchan. I ordered the seafood beef tofu soup and grilled pork combo. The pork was so flavorful, a little charred on a bed of onions. I was just happy with that until I had the soup! It wasn't fishy and I appreciate that you can pick your spice level. Definitely go for medium for the most flavorful spice level. Mild spice becomes bland. Also the beef dumplings were fresh. You can tell everything is made in house. Customer service isn't great, you have to ask the servers if you want something but I think its part of the korean culture.

Service was fine. Food was good but nothing special. I thought the kalbi portion could havw been more. Tofu stew was hot and flavorful. The rice was cooked well. Spicy cold noodles were not spicy at all. Got busy after we came on new years - good vibes!

Cho Dang is our favorite Korean restaurant in DFW and that's saying a lot. We've been coming here for years ever since they opened and they have been consistently good every time we've been. They are known for their soondubu or tofu soup and highly recommend getting that. Spice level is adjustable and they can do no spice which is great for kids. Each meal comes with banchan and a fried yellow croaker which has tons of salty flavor if you can navigate through the bones. The LA galbi is really good as well. Meat is tender and has a great grilled flavor. Seafood pancake is also great and it's of the thicker variety and comes on a hot plate. The service is always super efficient. It gets busy but the ajummas have a great system to get you your food asap. Does get pretty busy at peak times but wait times are never too long because of the efficiency.

I've been to Cho Dang in LA so I was surprised and excited to find one in Dallas. I ordered the dumpling tofu soup (medium spicy level) and it was delicious (very flavorful)! I just wish it came with a few more dumplings since there were only three, but overall I really enjoyed it. They also serve fried fish for each person and the rice comes in a stone pot, which is always a huge plus. My mom ordered the Korean cold noodles and requested hot sauce, and it made the dish even better. I definitely recommend asking for it. The staff were so friendly about it too which I really appreciated. Great food and great service, I will be back!

This is hands-down my favorite spot for Korean food. The quality is always on point, and the variety of banchan (side dishes) they serve is not only delicious but also refillable--major bonus! I always go for their Soondubu Jjigae, Bibim Naengmyeon, or Bibimbap--you really can't go wrong with any of them. They also offer some great combo deals, so you can enjoy two dishes without breaking the bank. I even introduced my dad to this place, and now every time he visits, he insists on ordering half the menu for the family to share. It's become our go-to spot for a hearty, comforting Korean meal. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Korean flavors and a warm, welcoming vibe!

2 friends and I came on a Friday afternoon, and I was worried it would be packed with a long wait time based on other reviews, but from our experience, this is a good time to come! The restaurant had plenty of space, but service was still super fast and efficient anyway, which I loved. What I love about Chodang is that the food is stellar and such good PORTIONS. Knowing this, I still opted to order a Combo Special because the thought of having leftovers for the next day sounded great to me. I ordered the Kimchi Tofu Soup with Beef Bulgogi, and it was delicious. I usually order my soups at the Spicy level, which I would say has a kick and flavor but never leaves me panting for air or water. As someone who likes spice, I wouldn't say it's very spicy, but definitely flavorful. Beef Bulgogi is one of my favorite dishes, and this place's version does not disappoint. The meat is tender and has a good balance of sweet and salty. My friends also ordered Combo Specials with a Tofu soup and the Korean bbq ribs, and Spicy Pork Bulgogi. One of these friends opted for the medium spice level, which I would say is a safe choice for everyone, especially if you're worried about something being too spicy. All soups come with Korean side dishes, a whole grilled yellow croaker fish (delicious but lots of bones), and a hot stone bowl of rice. Nothing missed!

I enjoyed the service and bonchons at Cho Dang Village, but the food was alright. Get the Combo Special as you get a good portion of protein and a delicious soup. The Spicy Pork was good, the Galbi was OK, and the Octopus Noodles didn't have nearly enough octopus. The Seafood Pancake was nice and fluffy, though.

It's been quite a while since our last visit, but everything was just as good as we remembered. The fish egg soup is incredibly authentic and flavorful. The BBQ beef and pork are both delicious--tender, well-marinated, and perfectly grilled. A truly satisfying return visit!

It was the epitome of small but mighty, serving up classic high quality Korean dishes in what felt like a pocha style establishment with excellent service. Now that word has gotten out, there are numerous visitors from all over and they've made some slight adjustments that have taken it a notch down for me and others. This includes the hiking of prices (#1) and the introduction of non-Korean staff to appease many non-Korean patrons. The latter has had more mishaps than the previous wait staff, but the mistakes are quickly remedied with swift adjustments. They even updated their awning with a much bolder "금수저" (golden spoon) awning. Food wise, it also feels like there has been a change as well. The soondubu went up a solid $3 and the mandoo fillings have been skimpy as of late. I also feel the banchan has been more limited than the past with only a handful of dishes than the variety from before. I also wish they kept their old late night hours before as well, but that's only reserved for Friday and Saturday. I still think Gold Spoon is worth a visit, but I do long for the version from before and hope they can revert back to how they earned their accoladed in the first place. ___________ (#1) Foodflation back at it again
