If you know me, you'll know i don't really like hot pot / shabu style restaurants. I'd rank this place more like a 3.75 out of 5 stars. my wife wanted to check this place out. it brand new and located in the new asian plaza in Carrollton. There are plenty of seats inside, but i can see how it can get busy. Inside, its very modern, and they have a separate area for the bar. We got brisket and one miso and one bulgogi soup base. It also comes with veggies. the soup base was great, and the brisket was already cooked so it doesn't require too long to sit in the broth. this place is all individual hot pot, unlike other shabu/hot pots places where everyone shares 1 pot. The service is very good, and if you're running low on the broth, they will come around to give some more. The best thing about this place, is that you have the option to add porridge or risotto to the end of your meal. Once you finish, they will come by and cook it in your pot. Whatever soup base you get, the rice/risotto will have that flavor. it was a very nice way to end the meal.

They're still in their soft opening phase, so their menu is limited. Our waiter explained us the menu & told us that once everything settled, the chef will add some more protein options to their shabu shabu as well as more main entree. The space is very modern, spacious, & clean. Their shabu shabu is different from what we associated with hot pot. The meats are already precooked & you just dip it into the soup to warm it up. Each person gets to choose a broth, protein, & it comes with a veggie bowl. The cost is dependent on what broth & protein you get. You can also get sides & extra veggies. They do gives you a lot of vegetables in their veggie bowl, but if you want more a specific vegetable you can for extra cost. I got the classic savory & chicken thigh. My boyfriend got the spicy broth & brisket. The chicken thigh was a little dry & the brisket was good. The savory broth wasn't as flavorful, but it did have a clean taste. I did like the spicy broth. It wasn't too spicy & it added a little flavor to the meats & veggies. Overall, the portions are good & filling. I'll definitely be back once they add more items to their menu.

If you're looking for a premium shabu experience, Gang Ho Yeon Pa Shabu in Carrollton is absolutely worth visiting. The restaurant is impeccably clean, and you can tell they take great pride in both the dining environment and the quality of their ingredients. Braised brisket was pre cooked to keep the shabu broth clear which is very smart. The meats and vegetables were incredibly fresh, and everything tasted high quality. I also loved the modern, high-tech setup at each table--it made cooking easy, fun, and efficient. The attention to detail really elevates the entire experience. The special cilantro dipping sauce was unique and fresh. The decor is another standout. Instead of feeling like a typical hot pot restaurant, it has a bright, modern, almost spa-like atmosphere that feels relaxing and upscale. Between the beautiful design, spotless dining area, excellent ingredients, and innovative equipment, this is one of the best shabu restaurants I've been to in the area. I'll definitely be back!

Great lunch experience, service and restaurant... love the music. I have some recommendations from my waitress name Bonnie... very friendly lady

I'm a big fan of hot pot and I love seeing a new place pop up to try. I loved the personal sizing instead of a group pot and the veggies were a good size that filled me up without feeling grossly full. I also added on tofu, soft noodles, and extra broccoli later on. For the price it was very excellent, the chicken was unavailable at the time so I look forward to returning in order to try a new broth with chicken. The service was polite and they checked in regularly to explain or just for a friendly check in.

Shabu shabu, LA galbi, peach highball

The ambiance was really cute and aesthetic, making it a great spot for a meal. We ordered the shabu shabu, LA galbi, and peach highball, and everything was delicious. The flavors were clean and well-balanced, nothing was too sweet or too salty, just the perfect amount. The staff was also very welcoming and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Overall, we enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience! The staff was so friendly and accommodating! We were new to hot pot so the staff made suggestions and recommendations for us. We were not disappointed! The Shabu Sahbu and Galbi were delicious! We also tried some highballs and fried chicken! We ended with a the meal with a scoop of ice cream. Such a beautiful and clean restaurant! We will definitely be back and we highly recommend trying it yourself!

My favorite franchise restaurant from Korea just opened in Carrollton, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely amazing, and the service was top-notch. Definitely looking forward to coming back again soon!

The shabu shabu came with a generous variety of vegetables and brisket that left us stuffed.

The noodles had great texture, the broth was rich without being overly salty, and the side dishes were fresh and plentiful. Service was straightforward and efficient--not overly chatty, but they got the job done and kept things moving smoothly. You won't feel ignored, but you also won't be on a first-name basis with your server by the end of the night. Ambiance is simple and casual. It's not trying to be fancy--it's more of a laid-back, everyday kind of place where the focus is clearly on the food. If you're looking for a trendy vibe, this isn't it. But if you just want solid Korean comfort food, it delivers. Overall: great for when you're craving noodles and want an honest, satisfying meal without the frills.

Incredibly high quality cuts of beef, slow simmered potatoes, chewy/fresh rice cakes, and fresh delicious vegetables and green onions. The brown gravy/sauce was delicious. The small plates of banchan were both intentional and flavorful. Very good pickling on them. Service was very friendly and the ambiance was peaceful. Even though it was busy, people ate in silence and enjoyed their food. They keep it ice box cold, so definitely bring a layer if you get chilly! It was under $90 for the Galbi Jjim, which is actually a smoking deal. I can't wait to go back.

We also ordered sollangtang and both spicy and non spicy cold noodles. Boy there is something for everyone on the menu. There is even combinations which we will have to try next time. A bit of a wait for the food but totally worth it. We love that the utensils are in a box on the table and pitcher of water and cups are brought to the table. The food is amazing. Just beware, the hot stone items (bibimbap, sollontang) stay piping hot for a LONG time :) be ready to have a big block of time to have a meal here.

The place was pretty packed, and by the time we were seated, a line was already starting to form. It's very dim inside and feels a little cramped, but honestly, none of that bothered us because... the food was absolutely delicious! When even simple, basic French fries are done right, I'm already happy. Then came the tteokbokki with ramen--and even my "no likey tteokbokki" friend loved it. Okayyy... now we're even happier and getting more excited for the rest of the food! It was basically nonstop eating, talking, and praising everything that came to the table. Next came the cheese balls. The crispy outside reminded me so much of Indonesian fried sweet potato balls, but these were filled with creamy cream cheese. Soooo yummy! And finally... the star of the show: THE CHICKEN. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and even the breast meat wasn't dry. Every bite was delicious. We walked out full, happy, and already talking about coming back more often. Truly a finger-licking little piece of heaven Three years was definitely too long to wait for another visit!

Crab - I do not care too much for this. My wife enjoy this quite a bit. I do not like the mushy. I ate it to try it and good with the rice rolls 4. Coleslaw - I loved this and worth the $4 dollars 5. Gizzards - fried and comes with lettuce, I would get this again. Overall this place is awesome and would come here again.
