spicy cold noodles with the two banchans it came with
    Cindy C.

I was craving the spicy cold noodles and it was happily satisifed with the meal at this place. The noodles were perfectly springy and had the perfect amount of spice, tart, and sweetness. I ordered the combo that came with pork which I felt was a bit too sweet for me. But mixing it with the noodles helped to bring that sweetness level down. We also ordered the clear beef broth soup that came with rice. It had a wonderful subtle flavor from the the scallions and sliced egg pieces. As someone looking for something on the lighter side, this definitely met that. One heads up is that ordering just the cold noodles /cold noodle combos will not give you all the banchans. You only get two. But if you order the soups, they will give you all of them. The banchans tasted great. Lots of delicious vegetable sides that went well with both dishes

First visit and already impressed! I tried this place for the first time with a friend, and I was blown away! The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the gamjatang, which was the special of the day, and I'm so glad I did--it was amazing! This place will definitely be on our repeat-visit list.

We came here for some Gomtang, Seolleongtang, and Sundubu. Everything was delicious! Amazing variety of banchan and soups came out bubbling hot. Each soup came with a bowl of rice. The staff was very attentive and generous with refilling our banchan. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is clean and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plenty of parking in this plaza.

When I crave comfort tasty Korean food, this is the place for it. The things I've tried here are 1. Na ju spicy gomtang 2. Na ju gomtang 3. Yuk gea jang gomtang 4. Pork cutlet (don ggasu) 5. U.S.A raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce in large Everything I had here, I enjoyed it lots! The service is really good here too. They check on you often enough to re-fill your side dishes as you eat. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is big enough to go in as a group and has a quiet vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Don't eat here

WILL NOT COME BACK. I eat out every weekend and I tried alot of places that has galbi but this place their galbi is shit! I've never in my life had bitter galbi! it's disgusting and hard to eat. The service here is also as bad. Please don't spend your hard earn money here they don't deserve a penny.

This is such a legit place and my go-to to is always the spicy noodle with beef. It's so refreshing and flavorful. We also a dish of cooked beef and it was delicious as well!

We have eaten here twice when visiting Dallas and it is definitely special. The first time we visited, they brought out white kimchi and the second time they didn't. The white kimchi really compliments the hot pot beef well. Highly recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is attentive, and the atmosphere was quiet both times we went.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Love this place. The naju gomtang is very soothing and filling. Lots of meat too. The naengmyun is flavorful and has the right amount of sweet to it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, open space with quick service, located in the hmart plaza.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I highly recommend if you're up to trying something other than bbq in the area.

Great place to get variety of Korean comfort food. What I love the most is they have variety of soy marinated seafood - crab, abalone, and shrimp. I've tried their marinated crab and abalone and both were really good. Their naengmyun was just ok. It was good but I've had better at a different naengmyun place nearby. Naju gomtang was good and broth was very flavorful. I would definitely go back. I took one star out because the service is pretty slow.

I had the spicy cold noodle and the Korean soy sauce crab. They are both great. Banchan are delicious as well. Service was great. The restaurant was a bit small, and there was a wait when we arrived, but the line moved fast. The waiters were attentive and nice despite being busy.

Super cute spot with delicious food and fast service. I came here for lunch with friends and this place was packed. We ordered the naengmyeon, spicy naengmyeon, kalbi, and the marinated Korean raw crab. It all came out so fast and everything was really delicious. Portion size was great as well as pricing for what you get. Definitely go here if you're in the area.

Medium Korean crab, banchan, beef meat soup, and rice
    Robert M.

While I eat Korean food often, including delicious home-cooking from an old college roommate's Korean mother (yum!), I had never had the opportunity to try raw marinated Korean crab until coming to 나주면옥 Naju Myeonok. Knowing I needed to be extra careful with where I chose to try this, I did my research and felt pretty confident these folks would do it right with high quality crabs. The service was very helpful, friendly, and offered guidance realizing this was new to me. Ambiance is perfectly fine if not even great. In addition to the crab, we also ordered one order of regular rice and one order of bibimbab rice which was covered with an egg. Also shared naju gomtang (beef meat soup). Now to the (Korean) crab... it was obvious the crab was very fresh. The MEDIUM was plenty for two. The LARGE we were told would serve four. So the pricing ends up being very reasonable, especially with the tasty banchan (sides) that come with the crab. I am glad I finally tried the crab and it was very tasty and unique. However, the struggle and mess required for so little benefit of (delicious) crab meat is just not my thing. It required plastic gloves, shell crackers, scissors and got crab marinade EVERYWHERE. The same reason I prefer king crab over snow crab is the reason why I'll probably never have this type of crab again. But for those who enjoy a challenge to get at your small amount of crab meat, you'll be very happy ordering this. Great new culinary experience. Thank you!

SO. FREAKING. GOOD. They have some of the best gomtang I've ever had. The broth is really flavorful even without any salt or pepper, but the best part is the really tender beef. They also give you so much protein. The sauce that comes with the gomtang is amazing, so definitely dip the beef into the sauce. Their side dishes are awesome--my favorites are the potato salad and the kimchi. My friend's naengmyeon--ALSO SO FREAKING GOOD. I've never had cold noodles before and didn't really understand how cold noodles could be so good, but damn. I've been converted. Even without mustard and vinegar, the spicy naengmyeon is incredible. I can totally see how and why this is such a refreshing dish on hot days. This is a really pretty restaurant too, and I'm surprised I've never come inside despite frequenting Carrollton K-Town religiously over the past ten years. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I might want to try their raw crab one day because it's one of the only restaurants in Dallas that offers it. This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the DFW area now.

So good!! The mild house sauce is delicious and not spicy enough to leave a tingle in your mouth,…read morebut full of flavor. The shrimp and snow crab legs were our favorites. The lobster tail was a bit tough and overcooked, which is a waste. Mussels were good too. Garlic noodles were not our favorite. Corn and potatoes are good, but they're a bit stingy about it only giving you one of each. When your seafood boil is $70+, you should get more than one of each. The flavors linger in your mouth for a bit. It lingered for almost 2 days for me, but would definitely return!

Went to Capt Loui for lunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was great…read more The crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

Which was premade, and they don't give you the pieces that are leftover from the hwae you ordered. Avoid this place and the younger guy needs to really change his attitude. A lady from behind the counter finally noticed us and directed us to sit at a certain table. Menu is on the table so she came by to take out order. There's not very many pictures to reference the size. The chef's choice sashimi platter range from $39.99 to $119.99. I had to pull up Yelp photos and with the help of the server, we ordered the medium platter for $59.99. As we waited, we were given a plate containing edamame and what appears to be fried pieces of fish skin. It was unexpected and tasty. The sashimi platter was fresh and contained a nice variety of fish and other seafood. I was surprised to see octopus and clams. It was served on a bed of radish, which I love, with sliced jalapeños and garlic on the side. There's no question the seafood is fresh here. They have tanks in the front containing lobsters in the front. The tanks are clean and there's no funky odors. This place is very traditional. Service was adequate. They have a self serve station where you can get your own water from a water cooler and additional silverware, sauce cups, and napkins. Took my niece here for a birthday dinner of her choice. It's right by Paris Baguette and she's always been intrigued by it. She thought it was just ok. Overall, I think it's a nice place to get fresh seafood but it's not a place I see myself coming back to.

We went to Fish Tails Oyster Bar and really liked it overall…read more Fresh boiled crawfish was the best part. Seasoning had real Louisiana style flavor, not too salty and just really good all around. Even the spicy is not actually that spicy, but it still has a lot of flavor. Crawfish was solid, and the potatoes and corn were great because they were soaked in seasoning but not melt your face off spicy. Oysters were cold, fresh and tasted good, no issues there. Service was friendly and quick enough, nothing over the top but they checked in at the right times. Ambience is casual and pretty much what you expect from an oyster bar on a Tuesday evening. Not too loud, just easy going. Overall good experience. We would go back again.

I was skeptical to try because my favorite place in the entire world for seafood (Aw Shucks) is just accross the freeway nothing could ever be better so I thought. - and I was right. Okay so we walk in and it's immediate immediate sensory overload!! The menu is too much , the noise level is impossible. I couldn't hear myself think. The girl taking my order was asking me something but I could not hear her. It was too loud. You order at the counter, they hand you a number and then they bring out your order. I quickly did a scan to find the most far away spot from the noise in their patio area that is actually indoor. The AC was nice but the silence wasn't muffled for long as the ladies cleaning the tables walked in and left the doors wide open. I ordered a frozen Paloma. They just poured it in a cup- no rim. The Paloma was okay. It tasted a little strong but I guess that is personal preference. The food didn't take long to arrive. One by one. I ordered the shrimp boil spicy with corn and sausage and some grilled oysters. The shrimp boil was very oily. It looked like it was seasoned bud didn't deliver in heat. The shrimp were overcooked. The shrimp will tell you a lot about the quality of the food. They were large but too chewy. The grilled oysters were okay. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor. I tried the steak fries they are cooked well and unseasoned accompanied by a tartar sauce but the tartar sauce was too thin and was too acidic.
