Beautiful little shop with amazing variety. Andrea, the person who waited on us, was very sweet and totally awesome. She took time to talk to us and make real conversation. She also was very helpful with answering all our questions concerning the area. Now, the important part: The chocolate! Wow! Obviously, we didn't try everything, but I sure did want to! Everything looked amazing and what little we got tasted awesome! This is a real chocolate shop with imported and hand made pieces, so expect to pay a little more. Four pieces were $7.00, but so worth it! They also did chocolate baskets and arrangements as well. The perfect place for a great treat or gift for a special someone!

This place does not seem to disappoint... Ever. I got 2 boxes, one of the imports and other of the domestics. Both were delicious and my family devoured them in a heart beat. I had family coming over from New York and out of the country and both sides were very impressed with the quality and selections they had. Of course the older groups enjoyed the liquor "flavored" ones. It's an awesome place to stop by wether you want just one piece or trying to have a meeting/gathering and looking for some bites. My 5 year old even enjoys these like crazy and could not get enough of their chocolate bars and chocolate strawberries. Will be back!

We also tried the Cuban pupusa, which wasn't our favorite dish, needed something, but still good. The mushroom ravioli was rich, flavorful, and something I'd definitely order again. The jambalaya was very tasty, especially the fish. We finished with the spare ribs, which had great flavor but were a bit dry. Overall, a fun experience with a lot of variety on the menu. Our server was delightful. I'd happily return for the mushroom ravioli and birria empanada.

It can get quite busy and loud, so it's not the best place for an intimate conversation, and reservations can sometimes be difficult to get. That said, it's absolutely worth it. The menu changes regularly, so I try to visit whenever they announce a new one. Yesterday, we shared several small plates. The bacon-wrapped dates were phenomenal. I almost ordered a second serving before realizing we still had four other dishes coming! The chicken and waffles definitely satisfied my craving--crispy, savory, and full of flavor. The mushroom ravioli was also outstanding. We finished with the stuffed calamari, which reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was younger. It wasn't Asian-inspired like hers, but the concept brought back some wonderful memories. To top it all off, I enjoyed a delicious dessert while feeling pleasantly tipsy from the evening. I'd call that a win!

Closing on 12/22/24…read more I read on FB where this place was closing. Due to a previous experience, I was given a nice gift card so I wanted to use it. Here we are the middle of December and it's sunny and 67 degrees so I got a seat outside to enjoy the weather. I really am so disappointed they are closing. Even though I've had some uneven experiences here the owner, Kristina has always been willing to reach out, ask me what she could do to make it better. I have several really good memories from previous experiences here. Special people and special times that are all tied to this place. It's part of the community and the fabric of small town life in Fort Mill. i understand they will have a food truck so we will look forward to that. I'm sorry I had not tried the chili before today, it was just soooo good! It's very challenging for independently owned and operated business. So may hit hard during COVID. In the post COVID world, small business are hurting. Inflation is high, the cost of food and groceries are so high. It makes it harder to operate a business and turn a profit. If you're reading this NOW please think about the independently owned and operated business you can support, the FRANCHISE places don't really need our $'s.

The server was friendly, informative and polite as well as efficient. The food is freshly prepared with care and the food portions are generous. I had breakfast in a bowl with their heavenly potato casserole as the base topped with ham, scrambled eggs and cheese. My husband enjoyed his biscuit breakfast with eggs and ham. Their coffee is sourced from a local roaster and it was so good. Many bakery items available here too. Worth checking out when you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Everything about our experience at The Improper Pig was absolutely perfect! From the moment we walked in, the decor and atmosphere stood out and hit all the marks, a few dust places but I'm assuming this place has been here awhile so let's call it that...but the attention to detail made the restaurant feel unique, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed in a warm way. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and attentive waitress she was more eager to fill our drinks than I was to drink lol but honestly she single handily was a beautiful train of productivity, the entire staff was, very impressed, that's a rare find these days and especially for the South. The manager, I imagine runs a tight ship...that helped make the experience even better. The biggest surprise was when my fried rice arrived at the table. The portion size was incredible for the price, mostly because and the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. It was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with technique. I will say the brisket on the barbecue plate my husband ordered was incredibly dry, the plethora of flavors of barbecue sauce on the table couldn't help it either...I'm thinking they reheat the meat for the bbq plates throughout the day (which makes sense) but they maybe need to consider another reheating method or I'm curious when the bbq is freshly made...I'd love to come in that day. Either way I truly left almost completely speechless...what a gem. We will be back to ensure it wasn't a one off type of day. It's not often that you find a place where the atmosphere, service, value, and food all come together so well...with techniques going in the kitchen. Whew! We had a wonderful experience and will absolutely be back!
