Closing on 12/22/24…read more I read on FB where this place was closing. Due to a previous experience, I was given a nice gift card so I wanted to use it. Here we are the middle of December and it's sunny and 67 degrees so I got a seat outside to enjoy the weather. I really am so disappointed they are closing. Even though I've had some uneven experiences here the owner, Kristina has always been willing to reach out, ask me what she could do to make it better. I have several really good memories from previous experiences here. Special people and special times that are all tied to this place. It's part of the community and the fabric of small town life in Fort Mill. i understand they will have a food truck so we will look forward to that. I'm sorry I had not tried the chili before today, it was just soooo good! It's very challenging for independently owned and operated business. So may hit hard during COVID. In the post COVID world, small business are hurting. Inflation is high, the cost of food and groceries are so high. It makes it harder to operate a business and turn a profit. If you're reading this NOW please think about the independently owned and operated business you can support, the FRANCHISE places don't really need our $'s.

The server was friendly, informative and polite as well as efficient. The food is freshly prepared with care and the food portions are generous. I had breakfast in a bowl with their heavenly potato casserole as the base topped with ham, scrambled eggs and cheese. My husband enjoyed his biscuit breakfast with eggs and ham. Their coffee is sourced from a local roaster and it was so good. Many bakery items available here too. Worth checking out when you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Both meals were delicious. The croissant was perfect, so fluffy and so fresh. The pastries looked really good too, disappointed I didn't grab one of those as well. Service was amazing also. The young man with curly hair (didn't catch his name) was very polite and checked in with us often. He was willing to go through the menu and offer suggestions when we asked. We have two young children and felt comfortable coming here to eat. Sometimes it's hard to find places that have table service that feel welcoming to kids so just wanted to add that here. They even have the triangle crayons to color with that don't roll off the table!

I did notice people drinking while waiting on their table which is a plus. I ordered the savory toast and it was delicious. Light but filling. I also had a chai latte which hit the spot. My fiancé had the poppyseed pancake and omg let me tell you. It was perfect! Sweet but not overly sweet. Moist but not raw with a hint of honey in the mix. The syrup as well had a hit of honey and came out warm. This just added the cherry on the top. Walnuts decorated the tops of the pancakes with a nice crunch and lift sweet taste. The location is great, small yet cozy. If it were a tad bigger, I can see it filling up as well. If I could give this a 10, I would. Don't overthink it, come eat here.

I knew it was last minute, so I was prepared to be told that it wasn't going to happen. Needless to say she told me she will have it ready by 12 the day of the gathering, I was so excited!! When I met her she was by far the sweetest woman I've met since moving to SC and very professional!! She even gave my boyfriend a birthday card.. Her cake on the other hand was so so so good, fluffy, airy and just right! As soon as I told everyone that I was cutting it, the cake didn't last 5 mins. I had one person to want the crumbs he said it was so good! Since I don't have a pic to share, I got the strawberry pound cake. It looks just like the pic but taste even better in person.... Reminded me of how my grandmother use to make cakes.. If you're thinking about it don't think anymore.. you will not regret it!!

She is most patient and kind. I have tried a few bakeries independent and franchises and to date none compare to Priester Pies. I never make post unless things are really good or really bad. This bakery is really really good. BTW. You should see the chocolate desserts.

Highly recommend the smoked pork ribs which are are fall off the bone tender, meaty, and with gorgeous and lovely dry rub and bbq glaze, so good! They need no BBQ sauce! The beef brisket(extra $5) slices are thick, smokey, beefy, and so beautiful. Very good, but a bit on the dry side. No worries, just add one of the many BBQ sauces, all lovely and special in their own ways. The house slaw is nice and light with an Asian inspired dressing. The cheese jalepeno grits were smooth and flavorful. Also came with nice pickled onions and a hot crispy hush puppy.

According to the server, we received a smaller than normal order of pork rinds. Which wasn't that big of a deal because it literally looked like they opened the bag of gas station pork rinds and poured them onto a tray with seasoning. Fries were brought out later, but they were cold. The charcuterie board was good for quantity, but my mouth quickly got tired of the flavors. Everything seemed crazier than it needed to be, and none of the sauces really stood out. In fact, all of them were sweeter than I had expected. Oh yeah, when I ordered a Bud Light with a glass, the glass was dirty. So the food was definitely an under achieving moment. Next, the server was actually nice and the ambience was great. It's a smart looking establishment . But you don't go to a restaurant for the looks, you go for the food and in that regard, I was decidedly underwhelmed.
