Stopped for a quick pickup of some dog biscuits, Staff is super nice but prices are ridiculously high. I'll stick with Chewy!

Prices are insane, almost $10.00 more for kiddy litter from the local grocery store. I guess they think they are in Manhattan.

I feed my cat a high quality food and did a lot of research before ordering from Choice.

Petco 92nd street location was a huge disappointment and waste of time…read more Stopped in hoping to grab a few basic pet t shirts for a small dog, but the shelves told a different story. Shortages everywhere, food, toys, even the simple essentials were either picked over or missing entirely. Choices of doggie t-shirts were limited to large dogs, female styles, and doggie sweatshirts, all of the small sizes were gone. Nothing weather appropriate. Staff was polite enough, but no one seemed to know when or if items would be restocked. For such a big-name pet store in a busy Manhattan neighborhood, I expected a fuller selection and better inventory management. Ended up leaving with nothing, waste of time, gas and parking. A bit frustrating when you're trying to shop local instead of ordering online. However this is making me reconsider. Will have to go out of the way, travel downtown to the Petco Union Square store and hope they have better inventory.

Im happy that they do provide adoption service every Saturday, but they only seem to be interested to help those people. I literally walked around this store looking for a carrier for my kitten and they just pointed to go downstairs for this or upstairs for that. The time I finally found a carrier to purchased the people who were adopting pets took the last one. What a waste of time. Never again I will stick with my own location. NO thumbs up at all. Happy Yelping! Just not here.

It is a locally owned shop owed by pet care fans. What is not to like? Okay, one more tiny thing they could work on: their small pet care section could be more forward thinking in terms of modern hamster/mouse/etc pet care. It's not their specialty, and their hamsters always seem content so it's not a major thing but larger wheels, larger cages, etc I think would be a lot more informative to the future pet owner than Kaytee products.

Awful experience Review below…read more I recently returned to this store after a fish I had purchased there a few months ago passed away, and unfortunately I had a very upsetting experience. I was the only customer in the store, store doors were wide open with the undeniable overwhelming smell of pot. Both employees repeatedly walked away from me while I was simply trying to buy a replacement fish. They kept trying to up-sell & I explained that I only needed the fish and was ready to pay, but I still felt ignored and treated with hostility. While I was on the phone speaking to my mother in another language, one employee made a comment along the lines of, "If you can speak another language, so can I," after speaking under her breath in a very harsh & angry language, to the 2nd employee. The entire interaction made me feel singled out, uncomfortable, and unwelcome. Whether intentional or not, the experience felt disrespectful and discriminatory. I ended up leaving without making a purchase and looked over my shoulder to see the 2nd employee glaring at me through the front door. I went to PetSmart instead, where I was treated kindly and professionally. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of religion, appearance, or the language they speak.
