Now, I ordered a Reuben as a lover of corned beef and sauerkraut. It was delicious and sizeable, a fair portion size for the money as well. The chips were also delicious having gone for the salt, pepper, and onion variety. A solid crunch and bursting with flavor. Among the positives I have two negatives, both of which are not adequate enough to lower their star ranking. Firstly, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our food after ordering. I rarely hold timing against a restaurant as having worked in food, I know lunch rush exists and things happen. To mitigate this (for those in the area) I believe they have an online ordering system, which I would recommend utilizing! Secondly, they do not have indoor seating, so it is a very grab and go type establishment. This is counteracted by the multitude of benches around Royal Oak, though it would be nice to have some amount of seating, especially for those with accessibility needs and those waiting on their food. The food takes a bit to come out. They called out our names when our order was up. The Nu cheese was so ooey and gooey. Has a bit of sweetness to it too. It's so good. The Rueben was also tasty. Flavorful and meat packed too. The Nu egg wasn't bad. Had thought it would have more flavor. Had some fresh herbs and some curries.

The lady working behind the counter took outstanding care of me. She said it would take 10 minutes. I told her no problem you can't rush genius. We both laughed. She packaged this thing up nicely and I was out of there probably in less than 10 minutes. To say she took good care of me, felt like I was one of her kids cause that was the way my mom took care of me when I was little. I had to run a couple of other errands and finally got a chance to bite into it about 30 minutes later. Outstanding doesn't say enough. Definitely will hit this location again. Pro tip, if you're in the area, Saint Clair Shores has a great bakery, Bomarito's. If you need something sweet after the sub, they're a great place to go.

If you want a lot of topping options, Louis isn't for you, it's far more limited than competitors, but I would argue they perfect the basics. The interior is charming in a straight out of the 1970s sort of way. The dining area can get pretty loud but the noise level is friendly and it's great being in a full restaurant surrounded by other people having a good time. There's a strong community feeling you don't get in sterile, corporate chains or local takeout spots. Despite my overwhelming praise for the pizzas they make, I also have to be honest. In the most charitable way possible, I hope that they can take some of their much deserved recent success and reinvest it back into the business because the front of house staff is regularly in over their heads. You can safely add 15 minutes to whatever time they quote you when placing your order. I had one order that was close to 30 minutes late and another that was missing all the extra sauces.
