I had one of the best bone in steaks in life at this restaurant the other day. It was seasoned just right and cooked to perfection.

My husband and I visited the Chop House for our anniversary. This was our first time here. The lights were turned up instead of down and the light on the table was not on. Therefore, not a great ambiance for us. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip which was delicious. For the entree, I got the Sea Bass and my husband got a 6 oz. Filet. This was my first time getting sea bass and I loved it. I also had a Caesar salad. I wish the dressing had anchovies in it too give it a better flavor. My husband was not too impressed with the Filet but the fries were good. The complimentary champagne toast was a very nice touch.

So first off the staff, our server lakeisha was phenomenal. She was the sweetest and made the birthday celebration super special. The kitchen staff was awesome as well and came out to say hi to us. The restaurant as a whole is a vibe and the night we went their was live music. The menu is a little steep but delicious, I mean that salad was huge and the chicken seasoned perfectly The crab soup was good but I didn't find much crab meat but the taste was great. This is definitely a great date place or place for a girls night for drinks!

Went to Chophouse for an office lunch and had a really good experience overall. The service was a bit on the slower side, which was noticeable given that we were on a lunch break, but the staff was polite and attentive once they got to us. I ordered the fish with the house salad, and it was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling. Several of my colleagues tried different items on the menu and everyone seemed pretty happy with their meals. The restaurant itself is very clean, spacious, and has a professional, upscale vibe that makes it perfect for business lunches or more formal gatherings. There's also plenty of seating, so we didn't feel cramped or rushed. One of the highlights was definitely the parking situation--a massive lot with tons of space, which is always a plus when you're coming with a group. I didn't get a drink, but my colleagues tried the tea and said it was really good. I'll probably go for it next time. Overall, while the pace could have been a bit quicker, the food and environment made up for it. I'd definitely come back--maybe for dinner next time when there's less of a time crunch.

When I went to Chop House I had a very pleasant experience. The service was cordial and polished, the atmosphere elegant, and the food well prepared. My filet was a good medium rare, my sides were flavourful. It's unfortunate the other yelp reviews mention poor service or food quality, because I did not have any such experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fine dining steakhouse for a special occasion.

Chop House takes care in their presentation. The tables are formally decorated and the choices for dishes, silverware and napkins were very exquisite. The menu choices were hard to choose from, because everything looked appetizing. The highlight of the evening besides the conversation with my party was the waiter. Every time I almost give up on customer service, I run into a Brian who sets the bar very high. He was a top notch waiter with amazing energy. Yes the meal was delicious, but I would come back in hopes that Brian serves me again. He did a phenomenal job serving our table. My dish had an amazing presentation and it tasted amazing. The wine paired with the dish was perfect. I was able to taste their loaded baked potato and it was divine. This restaurant was definitely a treat.

Must make reservations during the time we went which was market around 630pm. Very busy. Staff friendly and attentive. Very clean bathrooms. Has a separate bar area . Atmosphere dimly lite and perfect for a date. Large portions . Ordered the wagyu priced at $90 that night. It was good but nothing great. Definitely not worth the market price. Appetizers were very good.

Great Ambience, Food, Service! Went for my 21st Birthday dinner, and the server was super helpful with the drink menu and made awesome recs! Food was amazing and got this huge slice of cake and it was amazing (was enough for 6 people to share lol!)

It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

I don't know if the ownership has changed or if they just made some decisions to alter things, but either way it changes our opinion of the place. First and most important for us, they used to be the only place we were aware of in NC to get Gluten Free Crab Cakes which was a major reason we frequented Sammy G's. That has apparently changed and the new Gluten Free menu is basically just the meats menu which is a real shame. It looks like they have made some other small changes to the regular menu as well, none of those were all that concerning but the loss of this GF treat is a real blow for us. If you are a celiac and found reviews about the GF crab cakes, please be aware they appear to be gone now. Additionally, the prices across the menu seem to have gone up by a few dollars. When you consider that Sammy G's was never a cheap place to eat, and given the state of the economy these days, that actually does come out to a noticeable change and makes it harder to justify going. However, with the loss of the old GF options, it's unlikely we'll come back anywhere near as often as we used to.

Entrées followed in a reasonable time, no real issue there. Sammy G's has been in High Point for years and offers a wide menu with a little bit of everything. They also bring out little yeast rolls that are pretty good and they were warm when served. We started with the thin cut onion rings. My husband said "less than spectacular," and that sums it up. Some were sliced so thin you mostly tasted breading, and they were a bit greasy. I would skip these. He ordered the fish sandwich with Brussels sprouts (premium side with a small upcharge). The sandwich was okay, nothing special. The Brussels sprouts were good, nicely cooked with solid flavor. I had the Fratellis salad with greens, cranberries, feta, mozzarella, Granny Smith apples, and candied pecans, and added sirloin for an upcharge. They forgot the steak at first, but brought it out shortly after in a separate bowl. Not a big deal. The sirloin was cooked medium as requested, a little red inside and tender enough to cut easily. It had good flavor. I chose the apple cider vinaigrette, which worked well with the salad. I also ordered the chef's selection soup, which was supposed to be lobster bisque. If there was any lobster, it was microscopic. The flavor was slightly bitter and just not good. I asked for it to be taken off the bill. Service handled everything well, including the mistake with the steak and the soup. Atmosphere is casual tavern style, relaxed and easy for a weekday lunch. Must order: Fratellis salad with sirloin and apple cider vinaigrette (yummy), Brussels sprouts Heads up: Skip the thin cut onion rings and don't expect much from the bisque. Other soups, I've had here in the past have been great though.

Informative, knowledgeable, and clearly understood both the menu and the overall dining experience. He knew where the food came from, what paired best together, and guided the experience without ever feeling pushy or scripted. Between excellent service, from the host to the kitchen staff, and being a bright, cheery place decorated in a modern farmhouse feel (only complaint is the HARD seating), we love this place. The food is always delicious and seasoned perfectly with FLAVOR. For the appetizer, the Salad Pizza is absolutely scrumptious and was recommended by our server our first visit here last year. Honestly, it keeps bringing us back. The flavors are incredible. It has feta, mozzarella, topped with organic greens, shaved onions, tossed in a lemon/dijon dressing with shaved parmesan. It's a flavor bomb in the mouth. The meatloaf, is to die for. If you're a meatloaf eater this is for you. It's so tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. Melts in your mouth and the sauce on top is the perfect blend of sweet and savory to top it off. For my two sides this time I chose the fried brussels sprouts and the greens. The greens are always seasoned perfectly and the brussels sprouts were crispy and full of flavor. They tasted even better dipped in my meatloaf sauce so that was a win-win. My boyfriend had the special which was short ribs. For his two sides, he had greens and green beans. The short rib was perfectly tender and absolutely delicious full of flavor and moist for him. The green beans and the greens were also perfect as well full of flavor, just enough fat and butter. It's a great little date spot or a family dinner. They also have outdoor seating covered with umbrellas. There's a bar inside with a TV if you choose to go watch sports and the food here is always on point full of flavor and makes you want to come back and try more things on the menu.
